I recently discovered Heimdallr. My only disappointment is that I hadn't discovered them earlier. From start to finish my experience with them has set the standard with what I expect from customer service. They ship fast, they respond quickly, and they deliver a damn fine watch at an unbeatable price. I can hardly tell the difference between my $1200 Seiko Tuna with my $169 Heimdallr Sea Shephard. Had I known about this company before, that Seiko would either still be in a warehouse or sitting on someone else's wrist. Since purchasing the Sea Shephard I have also ordered the Captain Willard and Monster homage. For the price of 3 fantastic watches I could have purchased an okay Seiko with hit or miss quality control and zero response from a customer service rep so I am happy with that trade off.
Thanks for the review, I was going to wait for the longisland Islander Monster to come out but the Orange dial Monster was calling for me so I pulled the trigger.
I always wanted a monster but was intimidated by the price which continues to go up for no worth reason! So glad I found this watch! Though I am extremely torn between ordering the orange dial or this blue dial.. Thanks for the great review!
I'm absolutely in the same position. Seiko monster is too expensive for me but this one looks exactly the same and much cheaper. I'm still thinking about the colour but maybe I'm more for the orange one. Did you decide for yourself?
@@sng- Yeah, went for the classic orange! Wanted it to be screaming uniqueness among all ordinary people wearing standard watches. But it hasn't shipped yet 😕 It's not on stock yet. I also own 2 vostoks, they are unique too! Definitely gonna get some more 😌
Just got mine yesterday. Here's my take: I have a small wrist (6,5 inch), but the size is still fine. Negatives: Turning the bezel is not nice and you encounter sharp edges on the case and crown guard. Still manageable, but not a joy. Pin and collar system is a bit goofy. Minute hand could be a bit bigger. Positives: Looks excellent (not says the wife). Comfortable. Great loom. Great crystal. $150 - can't beat that. My advice: Go for the orange, if you don't have an orange watch. I got the red and it looks good, but the watch is so gaudy, you might as well go for a conspicuous color. And you don't get too many orange faces without a black bezel!
Hey.. thanks for taking the time .. at the end of the day you can't expect much for the price and it has to be a good ballance between price and quality and i think this delivers. The way I see this is like a moded Seiko 😀. Thanks again
