The most common cause of the check light is starting the fridge after a long period of non-use. I normally need to purge the propane lines by lighting a cooktop burner. Even doing that, I still get a check light once.
@MyRVWorks I tried searching for a video you mentioned where you hold a sequence of buttons on the eyebrow to run a diagnostic. Can you share the video link? My fridge stays cool, not cold, the lights will either be on like normal, or they will be off. The behavior started after I defrosted. The lights can stay off for hours, but they do come back on and cool (until they go off again).
Thank you. Good information. I must have an old unit. No temp switch? Maybe let us know which mode is most efficient. My freezer does not really freeze. But keeps pretty cold to keep frozen items longer. No ice cream bars in my freezer, lol.
Thanks for the video I now understand what that check lite means. We recently purchased a used Alpenlite truck camper (the only way to get one now unfortunately) which has a similar Dometic unit in it. The freezer seems to work great but the fridge compartment doesn’t get below 45° the dealer we bought it from says it is working within spec. Is there any way to adjust that?
Darin I had something weird happen to my Dominic fridge. It stopped working and I checked everything but at the time I knew nothing about it. I don't know why but I took out the light bulb and it started working g and I have never had a problem since
My button to the far right that adjusts the temperature doesn't seem to work 90% of the time. Is this something I can fix myself if I remove the eyebrow board, or do I need to buy a new board?
Is this the case for all brands of RV Absorption Refrigerators? The Check light is to check that there's propane? I don't know what the brand you were using in the video but I have a Norcold in my RV now and have had Dometic in the past. I always thought it meant there was a problem with the unit. I learned something new from you again! Love your channel!
Hello, got a tutorial on how to find out if this board is faulty? I have same model but no lights. All fuses have been checked on the back/ lower board Thank you
I don't have gas but I have ac but, for some reason mine only works on dc so I need to keep my charger converter running on bad batteries. How can I get it to work on ac?
My fridge stopped, I found you and you saved my vacation. Thank you sir. Wife & kids still think I'm superman

Why does my refrigerator beep about once an hour and check light comes on. Full propane and shore power is connected?

What about check light on during ac mode? I turned power on and off it doesn't go out.
I have a slide in camper fridge and when I set the dial on 2 it's around 43. When I set it on 3 it freezes. Any idea why?
Now I see Packman 😊😊
Mine wont run on AC anymore, only LP gas. I've replaced the lower control board and heat element but no joy
Make sure you have ~120VAC at you Refrig outlet.
