Well now we’re both disappointed
I went into this series pretty blind. Was doing a full read of Hickman's Marvel writings - so I'd only read his Secret Warriors and Fantastic Four/Future Foundation (which are both incredible btw) before - and was absolutely blown away. As someone who loves those out there, esoteric, sprawling sci-fi epics and is also a huge history buff - this comic just ticked every box for me and I can't recommend it enough.
Hickman's work gives me hope for a better tomorrow
Only those stuck in the cynicism of today, can never imagine a better tomorrow!

This was really fascinating. I've heard about the Order of the Shield in the Grand Designs comics but never knew it was this expansive. I'm a sucker for the fall of ancient civilizations tales so this tickles all my happy nerves.
I've noticed that for the last couple of decades, superhero comics have been placing greater importance on the heroes' parents or grandparents with them also involved in adventurous tales (the parents of Luke Cage, Bruce Banner, Pietro & Wanda Maximoff Peter Parker). I guess Marvel wants it to be how the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, but this also means there is a lot of extra lore to these characters now. I wonder if SHIELD was the start of this?
This comic means so much to me. I couldn't believe when they came back to finish those last 2 issues all those years later. Great video!

If not secret wars cover his avengers and new avengers run
I think this book is a bit of a hot mess and yet one of the most fun books I’ve read it’s a good time and introduction thats all you really need to be a successful comic for me
