  • New York sophomore Katelyn Tuohy makes a splash at NXN running away with the individual title in 16:44.7 over future NC State teammate Kelsey Chmiel's 17:25.0. Mariah Castillo was 2nd in 17:36.8.
    The girls from Manlius, NY scored 89 points to win the team title in a tight battle against North Naperville, IL (94).

    Notice besides Katelyn and Kelsey, eventual Wolfpack teammates Claire Walters and Brook Rauber are in the top six.. Henes knows where to find them..

      Yeah, Claire Walters left and went to some other school, D3. Wonder if that was her plan all along. Graduate from a parent Alma mater or something.

    Katelyn Tuohy est une sportive exceptionnelle, elle a un mental fantastique à toutes épreuves, plus je regarde ses courses et plus je pense que je n'ai jamais vu une fille aussi performante...! ! !

    Comparing the first three runners at the start. Tuohy's energy is much lower than the others'. Hers is much closer to her center of gravity. The other two have their energy much higher with a lot more energy in shoulder effort. Tuohy's running is qualitatively different. No wonder her coach spotted her running with her family.
