That "guy with the deepest voice you've ever heard" is Eric Hallway one of an estimated 12 people whose natural "chest voice" (talking voice) not only goes deeper than the piano tones, but deeper than the base scale below it. There's an octave range in the piano scale for bass, an entire bass scale that runs off the piano, and his chest voice can go deeper than that.
Most professionally trained bass singers have to utilize subharmonics (advanced singing strategies that are not chest voice, but an intentional disturbance in the vibrations of the vocal folds) in order to achieve notes this deep. Eric admits he doesn't know how to use these techniques. If he learned how to utilize subharmonics, especially the third subharmonic, he could likely train and attempt to make the lowest note ever made by a human.
(And if you're wondering... Yes, that's how he normally sounds when he talks. Not much difference, other than his voice makes a melody when he sings)
talking of subharmonics, everyone else doing the F#1 here actually uses subharmonics to reach it
I love Davide Dalmonte's subharmonic F1♥ x) also love that eric halloway just chested it right after. I have to use ingressive phonation to sing as low as him they are all incredible
F1 is about my bottom chest note (I am a trained basso)... then there is Eric's F1. Eric's resonance is just incredible. I can probably only think of about a dozen bass singers who have ever lived that match Eric's resonance.
@johndeeregreen4592 you're on par with Geoff at F1 chest, that's quite the low note right there so kudos to you John. Eric just has so much power and resonance on his low chest it's ridiculous, and correct me if I'm wrong but he's done a resonant chest E1 before too. Not sure about any lower than that but I wouldn't think it's out of his reach to go lower.
@@MikeBass4456, on a good day, I will get down to D#1 in chest and a convincing B0 in chest-fry. Eric, though, phew, his power and resonance is a little (lot) better than mine, even though my chest range goes a hair deeper than his.

Hmmm. Yeah I've done a serious low B in concert, but although my voice coach cracks up, (in a supportive way) it's a thrill for me. But, wow a few of these dudes are Uber Awesome. Man !!. What a joy to hear these dudes, And the blend is super chill mak'n !!! Whew !!!

They have some of the deepest voices I've ever heard though could've done without the overly dramatic reaction and the body language. Is it not enough to just sit there, listen to the song, appreciate the video along with the music then offer your opinions at the end?
