IIRC, Caffe Crema refers, not to coffee with cream, but to the "crema" of an espresso shot--the slightly yellowish, foamy little bubbles that come out with the coffee. I think it's a fairly close match to that. (Also, I feel you on how hard it is to find a decent flat white here in Canada; I've had some luck with local places, but I'm not local to you so that won't help. If you're ever in Ottawa, though, HMU.) I'm in Eastern Ontario, so there's a whole range of colours on the trees. In addition to some of the ones mentioned here, I'd add: -Diamine Inkvent 2023 Fireside Snug -Diamine Inkvent 2023 Weeping Willow -Diamine Meadow (yes, really, some of the greens here are still quite vivid) -Diamine Oxblood -Diamine Syrah -Diamine Inkvent 2022 Three Kings -Diamine Inkvent 2022 Spiced Apple -Diamine Golden Honey -Diamine Salamander -Diamine Firefly -Diamine Wild Strawberry (which is pretty close to Firefly without the shimmer) -Monteverde Giraffe -Pilot Iroshizuku Yu-Yake -Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-Guri -Pilot Iroshizuku Kiri-Same -Kyo no Oto Stone Road of Gion/Gion's Cobblestones -Teranishi Opera Rose -Kaweco Sunrise Orange -Dominant Industry x Wonder Pens Ginger Chicken Thanks for reminding me about Autumn Forest! It's been on my list for ages. I also really want to try Iroshizuku Momiji (it means Autumn Leaves, so it should be perfect, right?) but from the swatches I've seen it seems almost too pink to actually remind me of autumn leaves.
Thank you for all the info and all the fantastic suggestions! I appreciate you taking the time to comment. I would love to see Ontario in the fall one day. Alberta is pretty for the autumn season, too!
Hi, I bought a bottle of Momiji because I'm a mom and my initials are iji :D and autumn is my favorite season. I think it is a perfect red autumn leaf color, not too pink, and the gold sheen captures the feeling of leaves in the autumn sun. [Full disclosure: I also bought a bottle of Ina-ho because my first name is Ina ("ee-na"), and I think the 'ho' part is funny :D]
It’s the yummiest season of ink colors!!! 🍁 Autumn Forest is one of the most beautiful inks I’ve ever used, and I didn’t used to be a shimmer person. Ancient Copper also a fave. The Sailor and Taccia I haven’t seen before and look tempting. Herbin Vert Atlantide, KWZ Honey, and R.O Blood Moon are some other colors I find fall-ish and included in my autumn inkings. 🍂
So I found the Ancient Copper a bit too red, so I toned it down by adding some Monteverde Moonstone and love the mixed color now. I find that the Monteverde Moonstone is a great ink to tone down other colors. Not sure if you have tried it, but it has come in handy. And I even like the Monteverde Moonstone on it's own.
I am living for this list! It's so ME!!! 😊 Lots of these are in my current Fall Favs too. My M800 is a Needle Point. I think that Taccia would be great in that. Can't wait to try it.
To my surprise I just found new and unused Pilot Iroshizuku Inaho and Pilot Iroshizuku Tsukushi 50ml bottles online at a relatively reasonable price and made the purchase. They haven't arrived yet, so I will be very curious to swatch them and compare them to inks that I already have in my collection. I am also curious to see how the Tsukushi and the newly released Syun-Gyo compare.
Nice! And Ina-Ho is one of my favorite inks; disappointing to see it discontinued. I received a note with an order I made recently that I thought looked similar to Ina-Ho. I forget what ink it said it was written in, but I know it was Ferris Wheel Press.
Wow these are alllll so beautiful. Do I need them all? 🤔 maybe! Haha this is my first autumn (my favorite season of all!) as a fountain pen user. I have been using Caffe creama, hound of the Baskervilles, pride and prejudice, mad hatter, pumpkin & ancient copper!
Beautiful!!!! My favorite fall brown is Monteverde Joy Sepia. It is in between Diamine Ancient Copper and Terranishi Nostalgic Honey. I would love to see those 3 side by side for comparison. From your selection, I love them all!! But Dominant Industry Autumn Forest is really special.
Beautiful selection…I have a few of these but am looking forward to visiting two stores in Oxford later this week where I may be able to get a few more of these …I have jotted down Autumn Oak, Raw Sienna, Oyster Hour and Peter Moss. Wish me luck! 😀
I have several Of these, I have bottles of Anchient Copper and Autumn Forest and samples of Peter Moss, Steeped Umber, Ina Ho, Caffe Crema and Alt Gold Grun. I like them all except for Ina Ho, I never warmed up to it at all. Similar to that is Robert Oster Muddy Bucket (I have it and it has more green in it) and FWP Goose Poupon I haven’t tried that, but seems similar online). But the thing with Iroshizuku is they have a nice flow not found in other inks. I’ve seen some mixed Iroshizuku that seemed like matches. I think I would like to try Teranishi Nostalgic Honey. It looks delicious! Current fall colors I really like: One of my top faves: Birmingham Sugar Kelp. There’s a few other BPC light olives I think would be good, but unfortunately they don’t sell samples. I would like to try their Burlywood, Tiger’s Eye, and Street Car. Iroshizuku Yama Budo (this reminds me of beautyberry). Fall berries are so pretty. Diamine Cashmere Rose. It’s just a staple all except for summer. Kaweco Summer Purple. Just a nice contrast with orange. Herbin Cornaline D Egypte Diamine Brandy Snap Diamine Cocoa Shimmer, Yule Log or Winter Spice are all nice shimmer browns Monteverde Pumpkin Cake I have to have at least one teal: Iroshizuku Syo Ro or Robert Diamine Yuletide are nice ones. Colorverse Brane and Gluon, great shimmer olives (or olive Swirl) Muted tones for shadows: Herbin Vert de Gris, Robert Oster Sydney Darling Harbor, Graf Von Faber Castel Deep Sea Green. Might not be everyone’s idea of fall, but we need some contrasts. Gotta have some great grays. DeAtramentis Document Urban gray for sketching. Diamine Earl Gray.
Thank you so much for all of your recommendations! I love Diamine Cashmere Rose and Yule Log. I need to try Colorverse Brane since I love Diamine Olive Swirl too. I also love Vert de Gris!
Love this lineup! I think I need to get DI Autumn Forest into a pen tomorrow but maybe Diamine Autumn Oak too...🤔 I really want to try FWP Peter Moss & Teranishi Nostalgic Honey. These are all fantastic! 🧡💛💚🤎
Fall is nor complete with our Diamine Blaze Orange. But you compiled a great display of beautiful moody type fall inks. Serval I have and a couple I might have in the future. Thanks!
Pilot Yu-Yake all fall, all year, everyday. The only ink I have finished more than 2 bottles of, everything else, either still on bottle 1 or just samples.
I’ve been really on the fence about buying Steeped Umber and this swatch made me go for it! I feel like the swatches on the FWP website don’t do it justice! And I think Dominant Industry Autumn Forest may need to come live with me too. So pretty!
I have just inked my TWSBI D580 Iris with a broad nib with Dominant Industry Autumn Forest and love it. 🥰 Not a very big fan of shimmer inks, but this is just so gorgeous… 😊 Alt-Goldgrün is a spring ink in my mind, but Peter Moss is really beautiful, I am fortunate enough to have a bottle of it. At the moment I really enjoy Monteverde Jungle Giraffe in my Leonardo Momento Zero Grande 2.0 Galattica Nana Rosa with a stub nib. That‘s such a juicy and wonderfully shading combination. 🧡
So many beautiful colours here! I think Peter Moss just made it onto my wishlist, too :) Regarding Ina-ho alikes, they're not dupes, but off the top of my head I'd recommend checking out: Colorverse - Taepyong Seongdae FWP Goose - Poupon Van Dieman - Aria
*Pauses video to go put Dominant Industry Autumn Forest into a pen.* Why did I not already have that inked? In all seriousness, thanks for the inspiration to clean out some pens that are currently holding some brighter colors and lean into the fall shades!
I want to love Diamine Autumn Oak SO much, but every time I ink a pen up and begin to write, my stupid brain says: "This is ketchup. Smeared ketchup on a a cheap plate." And I clean the converter out in defeat once more 😿🍅
I did not like this color in a pen with a steel nib - in particular I did not like the light tones of the ink on paper. But, then I put it in a Lamy Studio with a 14k (M) nib and to my surprise, I like it now. This nib puts down a nice even tone of the ink and it's much more pleasing to my eye.

-Diamine Syrah
-Diamine Inkvent 2022 Three Kings
-Diamine Inkvent 2022 Spiced Apple
-Diamine Golden Honey
-Diamine Salamander
-Diamine Firefly
-Diamine Wild Strawberry (which is pretty close to Firefly without the shimmer)
-Monteverde Giraffe
-Pilot Iroshizuku Yu-Yake
-Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-Guri
-Pilot Iroshizuku Kiri-Same
-Kyo no Oto Stone Road of Gion/Gion's Cobblestones
-Teranishi Opera Rose
-Kaweco Sunrise Orange
-Dominant Industry x Wonder Pens Ginger Chicken

pleasantly surprised that i have many of these inks in my collection! this is such an inspiring collection of inks, thank you so much for sharing! 🍂💛
Thank you so much for watching! And it sounds like we have very similar tastes!
Glad I’m not the only one to make a mistake doing ink swatches. 😊 Nicely done.
Haha thank you! Mistakes happen and it's part of life.
Love the shading inks best, and your limitless ink lay down tools impressive. Keep doing what you do so well.
Thanks for watching - I appreciate that! Ink swatching videos are some of my favourite videos to film!
Great video! You showed us a great palette of autumn ink colours!
Cannot wait for your coverage of winter inks!!
Thank you! Glad this was helpful.

Ooh, I've always wanted to try KWZ Honey. I need to add that to my list!
Ah vert Atlantide is in my cart for a sample. I just know I’ll love it.
@@KarynaLovesToPlan It has a slightly vanilla scent to it. I’m sensitive to smells typically though and it doesn’t bother me.

I have 8 of those inks currently inked for autumn so I can confirm they are excellent haha. I’m definitely going to check out the ones I don’t have :)

Monteverde Giraffe is highly underrated, imo--it's like a slightly more vivid, reddish Ancient Copper. Perfect for fall.
