I love CTR as much as you do and yes, I could miss the tracks, the characters, the naughty dog stuff and all, but believe me. The Karters 2 is on the way to be the CTR that we, PC Gamers never had. Yeah, it's cool if you have a PS5 or an X1X but for a lot of people, it's the first time we got a game that feels so locked in runing on PC, and remembers how frantic og CTR was in our childhood. I'm on the beta and there's a lot of things to debug, but the core is there. It's going great and it will become greater.
You don't have to mess with the betatest, but give it a try in the future, you won't be dissapointed.

The mention of CTR in the About section of the game in Steam is the closest that we can possibly get to CTR being on Steam lol.
All in all, this game is going far and beyond for an indie title by just 8 people. It's kinda too good to be true lol, especially with cross-play. I don't know how they're gonna get the money to bypass Sony's dumb cross-play tax, but hey... only time will tell. If all of these are delivered with the game within a certain period of time, or hell, AT LAUNCH even, then this will already be a massive gem of a game.
Interesting. I would love to try out "The Karters 2: Turbo Charged" if it becomes available on PS4 or PS5.
This game looks really great. The drifting mechanic is way similar to Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. I really hope this will have some of the features that Crash Team Racing is missing.
The kart racing genre is getting a lot better imo. We're still getting shovelware like Emoji Kart Racers, but then we have Disney Speedstorm, KartRider: Drift, and The Karters 2: Turbo Charged. These games, in particular, show that the devs of each game actually care about what they're making. Smurfs Kart, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2, and Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3 are pretty good as well. I had posted this on the Crash Bandicoot subreddit, and most of them kinda hate it, lol. Some of them are interested in it, though. I'm just glad this game is coming to consoles and not just PC. All we need now is a Multiversus Kart.
Definitely haven’t heard of this one. But I did add Disney speedstorm to my wish list. As soon as the release date is announced I’ll be there day 1.

is this some kind of April fool day? this is exactly what i needed to stay in CTR, i was tired of the normal race every time (no cups online) and the horrendous peer to peer connection back to lobby when someone disconnected

CTRNF is one of my top 10 of all time
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled as well as Crash N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy *NEEDS* a 60 FPS patch for Next-Gen consoles and Nitro-Fueled deserves a PC port. 60 FPS makes racers and platformers more playable and responsive and any game really.

I'll definitely be checking this game out when it releases. I also hope now that Microsoft will be acquiring Activision that perhaps they give Beenox or whoever the money needed to fix the online issues of CTR Nitro Fueled.

I wonder if this game will have Hard U-turning.. that would be interesting.. probably not though because the racing tracks so far look linear! Can't wait for this game! Really looking forward to it!
i have played the beta and yes, hard u turning is in. like the jump u turn. but the 3 tracks they had didnt really have moments where you needed to do it.
Instant disapointed when it wasn't Nitro fueled for PC...

Yeah as much as we all would love CTR back... its really unfortunate that the game stopped support. However, this game may be able to fill our hearts with the fun we had with CTR once more

Huh, only 16 tracks but the ability to make custom tracks might make up for that - you have my attention, hopefully it comes across all platforms including PC and Nintendo Switch :)

Leaderboard ghost download dont work, wish I could see how they are so fast. Just tried the game, looks and feels great. Fast and intense gameplay. Definately gonna switch from ctr to this, after full release. Online ranked finally. Works great on steam deck. Hope they add info for all those weapons and driving guide. THANKS.

It shows how it is inspired: 1:31 - those crates are cannot be unseen as those appaers in the Crash Bandicoot franchise!
The part what bugs me, is the winning without items. Like what's the point of not playing with items? Those are mandatory to kart racers, from Mario Kart to even low budget, forgottable titles such as Teddy Floppy Ears, Pet Racer and in good old games such as Wacky Wheels. (the way to play a kart racing game as competitive makes me laugh, actually, but maybe it's just me)
Despite my mixed feelings, I added to my whishlist. (I need kart racers in my life as other genres as well :) )

i tried this game yday and it feels kinda weird not gonna lie, the handling when not drifting is insanely bad and the turbo seems like it does nothing, can't really feel the impact of it. I've tried the game at the hardest difficulty and there is no way to be as fast as them, best i did is 3rd even after trying really hard again and again i couldn't go over 3rd place

They should have remove "2" in the title of the game imo. I just don't understand why CTR has no sequel. They already have the framework of the game and they can just improve tracks, new story campaign but more importantly balanced powerup and not losing all of the reserves when in contact and oh the bugs and glitches.

I'm sorry, but this doesn't compare to CTR at all lol. It looks so much floatier, and the tracks look really empty and have an uninspired layout. We don't need a Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled sequel, what we need is a PC port, online bug fixes, next gen upgrade (60 fps) and crossplay. And I'm saying this as someone who 100% platinum'd CTR:NF, and did all the dev times. I can appreciate the effort here, especially from an indie dev team, but it just really doesn't come anywhere close to the kart racing perfection of both the original Crash Team Racing, or Nitro Fueled.

as long as they are asking full price on pc fpr nitro fuled on pc it is a no buy for me. as it is an older game no reason it should be full price.

Mario Kart 8 is horrible ! Bad controls and unobvious tracks. Overall it just feels underwhelming and boring.This game doesn't seem to have copied anything from it. And I'm glad they haven't.

I've only just started gaming again not played any console for years. So I've only this last week started playing ctr I love it although I'm no good at it yet. I don't like the drift machanics as I'm so used to Mario kart which my Fave games ever. But I do prefer ctr to Mario kart already so this one is must have for me. Thanks for sharing
U just have to get used to it, its pretty hard at first when i touch the game after 15+ years, me as a kid would never understand the drift boost mechanic but after getting used to it, mario kart racing is nowhere close to ctr in term of satisfaction, mario kart power , some maps and playerbase still better than ctr sadly
@@notintovtuber2945 no doubt ctr is far superior to Mario kart and that's coming from someone who loves Mario kart being my Fave games ever.
I'm getting a little bit better not doing to bad seeing as only recently starting playing it. I just wish I had discovered this game earlier and hope they do another.
