Lots of love from Louisiana❤ Pro-Tips: 1. Fry your andouille in a separate skillet first to release some of the oil. That way it won’t settle on top of your gumbo. 2. Cook your okra separately before adding it to the gumbo. Helps release the bulk of the slime. Add a little bit of white vinegar to help cut the slime as you fry the okra. 3. Add your seafood last, so it won’t overcook. 4. Gumbo File seasoning is a great addition for the depth of flavor. 5. If you don’t feel like cooking chicken, debone a rotisserie chicken, chop & add to your gumbo.
Tips on point. In Texas, but my Aunt from Louisiana taught me how make gumbo. Many ingredients are cooked separately, then brought together for the end result.

Being raised in the church taught me that you can have a routine & not have an actual relationship with God. We were just doing what we were made to do & mimicking what we saw & heard most the time. The closest i've ever been to God is when I got grown & started experiencing him personally & 9/10 it wasn't in church. Somebody might take that wrong but it's between me & God. I'm grateful that I was introduced to God through church but my relationship happened & grew outside of it.
