Very true! That's what I had on my household growing up. Grateful for my parents love for one another and aunts,uncles, and cousins who have been married for years.
If your parents had a healthy happy marriage not a relationship that is unhealthy even if they stayed married for many years. Yes it truly matters have a two parent home .
@Change isGood I have a lot of friends who were also raised in 2 parent households who had positive examples of marraige - who still haven't found a good mate .
I didn't have neither parents. I was adopted at birth and put back in the system at age ten, being separated from my siblings. God shaped and molded me into the wonderful woman I am today. I am in a happy, healthy relationship for the first time after being single for four years. That man is a good good MOG. I am so blessed!!!!

It took me 4 years of no dating and celibacy for God to bring a man into my life that truly desires me in every way. We are in a relationship and he drives my heart and mind WILD and yes my man's voice too is so deep and manly, his words soothes my heart, mind and soul. That's my man and the most beautiful thing I am seeing in him is the spirit of God, I LITERALLY get to experience how Abba Father sees me and feels about me. Ladies it's not too late to surrender and wait on the Lord, and in all thy waiting, get to know YOU and strengthen your relationship with your heavenly Father. He WILL bless you according to His will. It's not punishment or a time of torture. It is beautiful and before you know it, you will ENJOY your time being single.

Yes, Ms. Esha! It’s in the solitude of God that He will grant you the desires of your heart. It took me years to get out of God’s way, and stop relying on the dysfunctional and unrealistic relationship goals that TV and social media had conditioned in my head. After time spent alone with Him did my husband (who had been there all the time), opened the doors and windows to my heart.

Very well spoken/written! These are words of wisdom, and should have so many more likes! I totally agree! I married who became my best friend first, but during the process if time, before I had to prioritize my life, and put God first, instead of daydreaming, talking, etc... about dating and marriage! God interrupted me and let me know that my best friend is actually my husband! I have now been married for 23 plus years, and counting, to my loving, and consistent spouse! Praise God!!!❤

First of all, I am so happy for Kierra! Also I wish I had been in there, I would have loved a signed copy of her book. I can still go out and buy it but I do wish I had a sign one. I did have an opportunity to meet her once because my sister's best friend knows their family. so that was truly precious, she is as sweet in person as she is on the talk show.
