Larry Hagman was simply BORN to be J R. What genius casting. Same as Clarke Gable as Rhett Butler in Gone With the Wind. Lorne Green as Ben Cartwright. I’m sure there are many more examples of perfect casting. Sometimes, something just ‘works’.
Absolutely NO ONE could've play the roll of J.R. Ewing better than Larry Hagman. So much different than his role on "I Dream of Jeannie" as Major Tony Nelson. The role he played in "Dallas" was his masterpiece!
His Cliff Barnes lines were EPIC! Needed more scenes of the two of them comically getting into it. As the show progressed, their feud became a hoot. Like two crabby old men who needed medicating. LOL!
Larry Hagman should have done more comedic roles. His character JR Ewing may be one of the biggest TV villains but some of his quotes are very hilarious. RIP Larry.
JR with that slick tongue of his. He was still a chauvinist pig but I loved his clap backs. He may not have wanted Cally, or many women to be strong and independent. BUT Sue Ellen was his soul mate and once he saw how strong and independent she had become, he had mad respect for that. They could’ve been a cold piece together had the writers written them as a power couple in the later years.
And then the “why aren’t you at home fixing lunch for your husband instead of taking up parking spaces!” That would never fly in the current “me too” movement! LOL
Hagman was a great actor that usurped most of his contemporaries. His comedic ability astounds and amazes to this day from " I dream of Jeanie" to "Dallas" and even "Mother, Jugs, and Speed."
When they don't have to work, I think Clif and Jr drink beer and cofee and talked about many things. Sue ellen reads a romantic book, she has a big house and a beautiful bathroom.

never again will 1 actor be so perfect for 1 specific character.
R.I.P. Larry You were the best.
I’m glad I was around to watch this show.
‘You look up the word cheap in the dictionary, you’ll see his picture there honey’. The delivery is impeccable 😂

J R sure had some memorable quotes. Some were actually funny!
JR is the original bad boy!
If I wanted to be a villain, I would be JR Ewing. However at the end, I won.

J r is a metaphor for life!
Never interfere with a man when he's correcting his wife. I love that quote, I would love to tell my wife that ... but I'm too scared.
You should be...

@@maureenmcgovern6119 lol I love JR, Never turn your back on her if she's within 200 yards of a kitchen knife 😆
Hide the rolling pin, first.

My role model
I watched this when I was a kid, and I wasn't sure if I should emulate JR or McKay. One was a backstabber, the other was s bruiser.
Love JR. Always Did.
i goptta use that line....it'll take about 2 drinks, and I'm on my second...
The best!
Boy what I wouldn't have given to eat Breakfast at The Ewing Table.
I hate making Breakfast.
James.....never mentioned in the current Dallas. Nor Lucas, Bobby's natural son (with Jenna Wade). ????
Good.
Csodálatos szinészt láthattunk a sorozatban, a legigazán testhez álló szerepben..Viszlát Larry Hagman
The best♥️Larry Hagman as JR Ewing
Miss Ellie Ewing the best 😍👍
Those seasons were taken from Seasons 11-13.
If we had more people like JR the world would be a better place
Hagman was a great actor that usurped most of his contemporaries. His comedic ability astounds and amazes to this day from " I dream of Jeanie" to "Dallas" and even "Mother, Jugs, and Speed."
Somehow JR gets the last word *every* time he winds up in the pool.
Jr reminds me of foghorn leghorn...
I can imagine they had a lot of fun while filming.
'Ol J.R. Ewing turned into Al Bundy on the final 1991 "Conundrum" episode!!!!!
JR said what most don’t, but wish they had. 😂 He was a Hoot.
Charlene was so cute
Larry loved the JR character than I dream of Jeanie
Nice choices.
Bout two drinks this my second 😂😂😂
Miss Ellie and JR went from Mother and son to sister and brother by the second to last season. Lol
4:40 - 5:05 CLASSIC!!!!
JR, he’s the man!
3:12 yes sir
Why wasnt Marilee Stone at JRs funeral?
When they don't have to work, I think Clif and Jr drink beer and cofee and talked about many things. Sue ellen reads a romantic book, she has a big house and a beautiful bathroom.
Good
6:19 lmao
😂😂. J.R legend. 👌👌
He tormented Barnes for so many years lol
Sadly netflix would never show dallas sice it is owned by feminazzi ideology. Imagine jr quotes these days!!😂😂
My sentiments exactly
Ugh. the Loser years.... hate to see JR losing, he was so boring.
Nice to see finally got of his morally high horse and marry April.
Bobby married April. And since when does JR has any moral values
Just imagine, J.R. ... it would've taken the Sicilian mob one hour to get rid of Cliff Barnes ...
Did anyone actually swim in the JR swimming pool? or was it only used for throwing people in during a fight?
Dallas when men were men
@razorsharp redpill exactly
JR was the only real man!

Classic JR🤠
That Lucy know she was some kinda fine back then !! But that was back then !! Lol
Major tony Nelson
JR's line about April seducing him isn't b.s.
True that
Charlene in jeans 3:30
J r and cliff funny
Oh please
Dallas is full of hot chicks
You can tell by these clips just how weak the last few years of Dallas were.
And sad to see how JR was losing steam to a lot of these unlikable characters.
You couldn't spend all your time in the sack lol
