I’m not expecting a new version anytime soon. I don’t think Apple Pencil reps will get many updates as the earbuds. Since, it already works fine. So I would recommend getting it now if you need one. I would expect possibly a new version (if they were to ever release an updated version) at least 4-8 months from now.

It needs to connect and pair to the iPad to work. Only way is to wirelessly charge it on the iPad. Just like the Gen 1, you need to plug it first. So no, it won’t work on the base model iPad
@@seyhaha5722 I mean. Look-wise, they're pretty much on point. All stylus are pretty much the same. If you have watched the video, then you see that it has a similar tip.
It is pretty accurate. Main feature missing is the tap function and pressure sensitivity for artists. Though, it still has palm rejection and write like the original. I would recommend it mainly for students who needs a stylus to take notes. If you're an art student using the Apple Pencil to draw, paint and create digital arts, then I would recommend the original ones
@@benjamincontreras9150 Unfortunately, there is no new Apple Pencil alternative at this moment with other features and I don't see an update coming anytime soon. Mostly due to lower demands. IF you need an Apple Pencil with those features, then I would say just get the real one

Pressure sensitivity for artists is not really there. So, if you plan to draw or create digital art, then I would recommend getting the originals. These are mainly suitable for note taking

Of course. One is Gen 1 and the other is Gen 2 of the Pro version. Different earbuds design, features (volume control on Gen 2). Different chipsets.

As shown in the video, you have to snap it to the side of the iPad to turn it on

no. You may find other alternative to Apple Pencils stylus, but not these exact ones.

No. iPad 8 is one of the base iPads that supports only Apple Pencil 1.
