Omg these are absolutely incredible - I love them, so much so I bought a second pair straight after my 1st run in them 💚 so responsive and soft and bouncy and just lush - I really look forward to putting them on 💚
Thanks a lot for your in-depth reviews on this new pair of highly cushioned shoes! I'm always in search of max cushioned daily trainer (and do not care much about how fast I run, but just enjoy long runs everyday. ^^). Actually, I have been running On Running brand (Cloud Monster), but feeling very hard under my feet. I wonder if this New Balance SC trainer is also hard, max-cushioned shoes or somewhat marshmellowy kind of cushioning I am looking for. Again, thank you so much for the expert reviews!!!
Loving these soft, bouncy shoes so far. It feels like I’m flying in them and I can’t wait to use them for long runs, which are typically a painful and avoided endeavour for me. If you’re looking for a higher stack, stable, more propulsive fuel cell rebel these are it. The tc was too dicey for me, NB makes these in wides and they’re more affordable than that first gen plated shoe here in Canada.
How does it run on slower paces, easy recovery run? Stable? Different category but how does it compares in stability and energy return with Glycerin 20 - Triumph 20? Another great review, thanks!
Hey, I tend to use the 1080v12 as my long run easy shoe and find the stability on that to be just right, would you say this could useable for a neutral runner who needs a stable ride or maybe too risky? Thanks
Great question! Very tough to say without seeing you run in the 1080's. The Supercomp Trainer has been a really popular shoe for us in store for someone that wants a shoe a little snappier than a traditional mileage shoe like the 1080. Or for someone that needs that forefoot offloading with the carbon plate and rockered toe spring. The widened base of support does make the shoe relatively stable however, due to the FuelCell midsole the shoe can be slightly unstable for those heavier framed/heavier foot striking runners. All in all, definitely a shoe worth trying on in your local specialty running shoe store if you can, especially if you're loving the 1080's, it's a super fun shoe that is really versatile! Hope this helps :)
Sorry to say but no. Some context: All brands have an equation they use, and for a brand to make a shoe in additional widths can cost them an additional USD $1-2M+ dollars. They need build out new manufacturing molds etc. That amount of money may not seem like much for a big brand, but they also weigh this up against the % of their overall sales. The Super comp would be less than 1%. So NB and other brands in similar position, always look at the numbers and weigh it all up. But I do think there is a real gap in the market for a performance shoe to be offered in a width. Specify performance, I'm talking pure race day/light weight tempo shoe with additional plated construction through the midsole... Who will be the first brand to offer this?? It has to happen in the next couple of years.... Surely.
I got one in rebel. That carbon plate always pushing me forward. Not good shoes for stand still but running & walking. Extreme cushioning and energy return also more comfort than tempo next%
47mm/39mm of plated FuelCell. NomNom-NomNom mmmmmm! So good! The TC was overpriced & underperformed relative to the best tempo shoe on the market, the Endorphin Speed 2. But this baby... oh boy. Looks good enough to eat. My only concern is longevity. Do you have any idea about foam life (bounce)? FuelCell is NOT known for longevity. I tend to use lighter weight workout shoes like this & the Speed as an all-rounder. I like to put miles on my shoes, and the Endo Speed 2 has proven capable & durable. 400+ miles, can can do everything from workouts to longruns to easy day pace w/o issue. If the SC Trainer goes flat in 200mi and is only suitable for workout days, then I'm less interested.
In terms of compliance and resilience my rebel v2s are as fresh as they were a year ago. Fuel cell is a more durable midsole than a regular eva. As an exposed foam outsole it will take cosmetic damage and the soft NB rubber outsoles wear down relatively quickly.
Big fan of the TC so I’m looking forward to this one. Are there pronounced midsole sidewalls on this shoe? That would be a deal breaker. Couldn’t wear the RC elite v2 because of it.
I don´t understand this shoe can´t wear it for competitoon wouldn´t wear it for xompetition it is useless for track and road you do not need that much couseneing

Good review, how does this compare to the Adidas Prime X?
Excited to see the rebel v3. But also wanting a good daily trainer to pair with my endorphin speed 2.

Best review so far! Enough for me to order! Cheers :)
Are these really going to be $320? That seems high.
Great review, would love to hear your take on the Saucony Ride 15

Another great review, thanks!
Would this considered for long runs/marathon shoes? I'm not a quick or fast runner. Marathon time is 5:35.
How soft is this compared to the RC Elite V2? I think this may replace my easy and long run shoes (Nike ZoomX Invincible) when I can get it.
How does it compare to the vaporfly considering price is about the same?
These shoes are on the complete opposite ends of the spectrum.
true to size?

Do you know if they will release this in Wide width

Is this pair also good just for casual wear / walking?
I got one in rebel. That carbon plate always pushing me forward. Not good shoes for stand still but running & walking. Extreme cushioning and energy return also more comfort than tempo next%
Did you weiight it?

Do you know when this shoe will be released?
We just received the first drop of the mens but are yet to receive any of the women's. Hopefully goes live on the New Balance website very soon!
@@SportitudeAus Do you know when the other upcoming NB shoes are due in Australia? eg. rebel v3, SC pacer? Thanks!
@@SportitudeAus how about in the US? Price?
@@newguy8222 $180 per NB’s performance shoe General Manager.

Is it better than more foam v3 ?
More more BETTER
@@bullforcescarface7495 but is it taller? Asking for a friend :')
@@justintung7981 IT IS taller
Can you take out the insole? ☝️🤔😅
Please review the Asics Glideride 3 and compare to this NB SC Trainer. Thanks!
You won't get a more in depth review on a running shoe anywhere.
Thanks for the feedback Keith! Hope it helped
300€? omg
Video catalog. Useless for actual runners
Thanks for the feedback. We would love to know what your definition of an actual runner is.
