Piece
Oh I just made the mistake of reading the comments when I'm only on episode 18. FML
did you get to the ending?
I finished watching the series that day lol
hahah nice the ending was so beautiful and sad. :(
Yeah I wasn't sure how to feel about the ending, apparently Nodame Cantabille is the one to watch next ^.^
really? I think Ill watch that or Toradora! next. I'm a sucker for these kinds of anime.
Whenever I listen to this...I start to make weird piano playing movements. Please don't tell me I'm the only one,
+Mikaela Hyakuya ur not alone
bruh, you are not alone x2
+Mikaela Hyakuya You've been inspired just like those in the anime set out to inspire people who listened to their playing. You've heard it ring
+Akashi'sD*ck ur not the only one
I'll find myself making movements as though I'm a conductor
0:00 Hey, even I could play this! Why do people say this piece is so diffic-
0:23 ...Oh.
That in the truth, haha.
XD
What confuses me is why did it take you 23 seconds to say that 1 sentence
@@anonymous-fo2tv Hey, you have to listen to it first, may be until 20s opening.
@@sophiafr. "Song"? "SONG"? That's sAcRiLeGIous
The beginnings like a jump scare.
i forgot what thew piece was when i listened to the beginning and i was scrolling through the comments because i couldn't remember what part of the anime it was from and hoping somene had already asked.... and then... i literally nearly fell out of my seat because my volume haad bbeen so loud and the fast part came
jump scare? Beethoven: Pathetique sonata first mov.
also try chopin's 2nd ballade lol
jonny lomj a lovely jump scare

The first time I heard this in the show, my reaction was "What the fuck is this tempo?".
But after listening to it over and over again, I realised it is one of the most emotional interpretations of this piece.
Why? Is this tempo slow?
+Chloe267036 yes, usually it's around 70 bpm and this feels around like 50-60ish
+Raptor Jesus the tempo is slow I'm usually a fan of fast pieces of art but this shows so much emotion heated and chill just the way i like it though
+Valleyraven007 holy crap people play this faster? HOW this sounds so hard lul
+Raptor Jesus jeez... I understand it annoys you or something but maybe you shouldn't tell strangers to kill themselves? Idc but that could seriously affect someone. Chill??
some tips for people learning this...
#1: listen to it a *lot* ! this helps with your by ear memory and will aid you in deciphering it. it also helps to try and follow along in the music.
#2: map out your practice! set *OBTAINABLE* goals and make a practice schedule- it will help you keep track of your progress and make you stay organized as well.
#3: find the hardest and easiest parts. circle them, highlight them, put neon green tape over them and start by learning them, not at the beginning. doing this will decrease your chances of messing them up by ALOT and will give you a little satisfaction.
#4: GO SLOW! You're not Lang Lang! chill and slow down, you'll make less wrong notes and bad habits.
#5: regularly go over and look for wrong notes. trust me. the last thing you want are wrong notes.
#6: OK, so youre able to play through it *somewhat perfectly* to the end, and now it's time to speed it up. start with a comfortable tempo with the metronome and do it 5×. now, speed the metronome up by a couple notches and do it 5×. keep doing this until you are at your desired tempo. !WARNING! THIS MIGHT RESULT IN CARELESS PLAYING, IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOURE JUST FUMBLING THROUGH THE PIECE, STOP AND COME BACK TOMORROW.
#7: last but not least, do that scale at the end a thousand times! it would suck if you preform it perfectly and mess up the scale, so don't take any mutherfudgin chances yo!
as a piano of player of 14 years... that is probably the best how to learn a piece for beginners I have ever seen... but maybe not go up that little in speed every time, unless you are some sort of human metronome, it is very hard to control your speed that carefully as a beginner

Betta Nies - or if your like me, I am oral taught, still workin some out by ear, I’m in our schools band, I either get showed and listen to it, or I listen and learn myself. I know how to read music, but I can’t make the tune unless I’ve heard the song at least a couple or so times. Music is hard for me to learn, cause I lack the sight in for reading it. I’ve had it enlarged, but doesn’t always help. So for me, I’ll let my ears and RUclips piano tutorials do the trick. Lol. Because of my vision, we have another bell player in percussion, I was his inspiration for wanting to switch.. he was once a trumpet. He helps teach me, by paper.. I figure if it’s right or wrong corresponding to how the band plays.. and yeah.. one more year.. and he’s all alone on that. I play piano at home and maybe for some performances when asked, (not often) but I work hard being in high school. Parents in the band.. love me for it.. and so do the few friends who started asking me to teach them every now and then. Musics just been my getaway in life.. I started band in sixth grade, placed on the xylophone, because of my disability. My teacher never gave me a choice. Grew to love it more. Started piano about my freshman year, and workin my way slowly up the scale. Sorry for the long read. :). Just thought I’d share things about me and oral taught stuff. Kinda.
l-lang lang?
Bro you copied this from google 😭
I was in love when Emi did this song (Im a Chopin fangirl)!!!! Its so tragic and intense
+Josh Martin
That pairing would have been great ! I am yet glad that Kousei x Tsubaki will surely be the one, after the end of the show. Tsubaki was the most realistic and touching character to my mind, since Kaori seemed "too perfect to be true". I wasn't shocked at all when she passed away.
Same!! ;3
Same!!
It's a piece tho
^^
Pieces like this can be learnt but you spend the rest of your life perfecting them,
I can only play revolutionary and torrent, and I still practice them regards how long I have learnt them.
Do not let others achievments lower yours
I have seen people in competitions beat the ''Prodigy''
with pieces way lower in difficulty than theirs
One time I entered my first competition in Ireland and there was a kid who was 14 playing the Polonaise
and I entered with the moonlight sonata first movment I wanted to win and knew I'd lose because of this Prodigy and out of amazment I got first.
Obviously I though ''Hold the fucking phone what about the dude''
my teacher came to me and I asked him about it.
And his reply was the kid was trying way to hard impressing others he forgot to play properly and there was absulotly no dynamics.
Just to clarify
I learnt the moonlight sonata first movment in two weeks but spent months perfecting my sound and interpritaion and I STILL am perfecting all my pieces to where I can interpret them.
Moral of the story
Its not what you can play its how you can play them
+MrDaxjack Well said chap! I agree with you.
*Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!
+MrDaxjack I definitely agree! My teacher has always told me that and it's definitely true.
+MrDaxjack finally someone else than me said it... being able to play incredibly fast pieces does not equal being a good pianist... i'm sick of seeing all these "child prodigees" who can't even understand what they are playing because they're not mature enough yet (although i have to admit, there are some very good ones, but most of them simply play to impress)
Play for your own enjoyment not to impress, other wise you disgrace yourself as a pianist.
+MrDaxjack True
I watched this anime awhile back, and now my piano teacher is having me learn this piece, I knew it sounded familiar, but I thought it was just since it was a decently popular piece of Chopin, now that I realize that it was in one of my top favourite animes I can love the piece even more
Sorry don't really know why I even bothered commenting
must have been a real cool moment when u realized it was this piece haha
also, u ok man? No need to apologize

The power of classical music ❤❤
+lucy heartfilia Dude it's not classical, it's Romantic -_-
+estomnetempus Okay
+estomnetempus Chopin wasnt a romanticist, dear.
+Pirupi Gets Bored belonged to that era, considered his music as not romantic. You choose :P
+estomnetempus He thought it disgusting to call his music romantic. It wasnt romantic, it was classical. Romantic to him wasnt impactful and his music was all about emotion and struggles.

Chopin, are you mad.
You should read his letters.

Indeed he was, my favorite comment posted!
This show depicts perfectly how a musicians path is one of isolation and sorrowful, yet simultaneously beautiful from that pain that emerges in the forum of music.
*Let it ring!*
(Shigastu wa Kimi no Uso reference)
"Let it ring! Let it ring!
Don't hold yourself back any more.
Let it ring! Let it ring!
Play it out; let your feelings soar!
Just ignore what the judges say;
Let the song speak out . . .
Will it reach them, speak to their hearts today?"
("Let It Ring" Frozen parody that I just came up with. So bite me.)

_oh hello, i think i know you?_
LeBlueUnicorn Hello!
Praise Chopin for writing such an outsanding Piece and the Player who played it so beautifully!
As soon as I saw her I knew she was a goner... the anime did nothing but low blows to the emotions... like the cat? really? Jerk writers. messing with our hearts like that.
+Jason Ryan isnt' that why we watch anime like that, though? To get roundhouse kicked in the emotional genitals that are our feels?
+Jason Ryan I cried more over the cat than I did for the rest of the show.
But I did cry a lot more than I'd like to admit.
The OP is very telling with all her falling and the empty seats and the fireflies
+Sazzandora11 you can figure that out without a video man, the events in the anime are very foreshadowed
Gee thanks for spoiling the whole show, pal.
O. M. G this is hella amazing and slow in a way that you can feel the yellow and red (loneliness and anger). Thank u so much
OMG I love this song!!!!!!!!! This is one of the best piano songs I have ever heard and one of the best in this anime!!!!
yes, the feels. The feels is coming, we must prepare.

The best interpretation I could find on RUclips... the tempo is slower but it sounds so much better in my ears
I think you have that few views because of the weird title: no "Shigatsu wa kimi no uso" and no "Chopin" in it
Mr. Fluffy Leonardo Dinosaur Thanks for noticing! Changed it.
+Mr. Fluffy Leonardo Dinosaur
And now *Boom!* number one result when I search "Winter Wind Chopin". Search Engine Optimization at it's finest!
It doesnt matter now bec of this kind of show classic get revived... and now many young teens inlove with piano. Also Chopin ...
its all about views huh
Mr. Fulffy Leonardo Dinosaur, 'Shigatsu wa kimi no uso' is the name of the anime. (四月は君の嘘) in case you didn't know.
Edit: I misread what you said. Nvm, lol.
This is a wonderful interpretation of this etude - very artistic, musical, and emotionally gripping...

For those who don't know about it, I recommand Cateen (Hayato Sumino's) interpretation of this piece!
It's in my opinion the best interpretation, perfect tempo, perfection dynamics in the perfect spots.

oh wow haha
this song is very addictive. Once you graspe how to play it this song is likely to be the composition you would want to play most on the piano. Playing this song feels like fingering massaging
You got any tips for learning it? I started ages ago but stopped
fingering *sus* massaging hmm

I can't stop listening to this, it's truly beautiful.
Chopin was such a lyrical & poetic composer.
This is my favourite out of all of them!
Thanks for the high quality uploads, i looked everywhere for Sakata Tomoki's works and found nothing, and Tzvi Erez produced an amazingly similar Moonlight sonata 3rd movement, but you filled in the rest of the songs, I appreciate it!
Is this what emi played? Not sure anymore...😢
Yep
Yes it is
living in a cold windy city, i would interpret this more as a springtime storm. the cold wind is drier, more foreboding... the cold can kill you... maybe chopin wrote this while he was vacationing mallorca for the winter...
It's down to the the composer's own interpretation of what he or she feels the feel of the piece should be about
Just finished rewatching this show (literally finished five minutes ago) for like, the 5th time. This is my favorite song played in the show, idk why. It's just so emotional and impactful
Bless your soul for this omg🙏🙏
I remember when before I watched this anime I never really liked classical music but when I watched it now I love classical music and Emi's performance with this song was amazing
I'm glad it changed your perspective on classical music :) I recommend Rachmaninoff's piano concertos! You'll love them hehe
I mastered this piece for like 1 year. For the first 1 week of my training i feel like my bones is going to crack
Thank you for the sheets! You are absolutely marvelous! The most awesome human being! Thank you so much!
I learnt this etude a few years ago, and it is fantastic! It will be rewarding for any pianist. This performance is very fine.
tears come to my eyes when I hear this
So dam powerful!!!
somehow when listening to it in this context gives it so much more depth and meaning!
I love this piece so much
THIS IS SUCH A GOOD PIECE :D I was looking at the sheet while listening and got lost at around 20 seconds xDDD
I'm learning this piece right now. Made it to about :27 before my hands fell off.
It's Noctis I make it to :2 before I realize I don't have a piano
what now?
Britt are u done with this piece yet?
Despite it being on the slower side of the tempo, the emotional content makes up for it ten fold, BRAVO!!!
I am in love with this
so i got the 1st 2 bars, the next 2 are a bit iffy... and its pretty much downhill from there
japan loves chopin
they made a game about him and this
there is probaly more
I absolutely love Your Lie in April! It was and is so good and cannot believe the ending. It's been at least four months and I still cry over it...
Same
el mejor de todos los animes que he visto
When I heard Emi playing this in Shigatsu no Kimi no Uso I got so excited, 'cause I have freaking loved this piece for a while now. It's one of my favorite pieces of all time. I like this version (made me tear up a little while watching the anime), but I still prefer Kissin's version. It's so raw. It makes me wanna punch a wall or something along those lines. Hahaha.... :)
Music is beautiful
Some music definitely is. Not sure about all of the music made nowadays...
This is my favorite piano classical piece
this is amazing i can’t comprehend
0:00 - 0:23 Chopin: "I left an easy piece for you normal folks to learn and enjoy"
0:24 Chopin: "SIKEEE !!!"
When you're actually here to learn this... God help me. Lord give me dah powah!
I love this piece😍
I love you now for posting this. Thank you XD
Now *that's* what I call a beat drop.
Well yo tambien toco piano y violin. Y si es sierto se necesita vastante dedicasion. Pero si intentas, todo se puede. Aunque se escuche bien hard si se puede lol☺. BTW sorry si no escribi algo correcto. Spanish isn't my first language lmao
Cecy ah ya eso es otra,no sólo hace falta que sean las buenas notas, también el buen volumen e intensidad
pero síp,con dedicación (mucha) se puede hacer
Dragon Skilet jajajaja tampoco hace falta disculparse
This is so beautiful
After years I come back to this channel
Ive always thought of the piano as a giant ocean..and this song as the water trickling down as fresh water into the ocean and then becoming all salty....
Gotta say, without the context of the anime, it feels so dragged. Of course, the context makes it make sense, as it feels the emotion more at this tempo.
I don't know about you but I was dying for every note, that dramatic, calm and loving harmony💐
This was my favorite song before I saw the anime, now it has even more meaning to me. I lost my mother and I lost someone I loved. ugh who is cutting onions
Esta canción una de las razones por las que quiero ser pianista...
Dimebag Darrell Si tuviera 26 dedos sería más fácil );
Ok pero no es una canción.
sería más difícil
by 00:22 , we think it is easy for us to play :)
I'm actually learning this piece. Really nice one!
Why this piece is so good? I love Chopin pieces.
I listen this music when I'm angry
Even though I don't actually know how to play the piano I WILL learn this song, I swear on me mum. It just speaks to me, it wants me to conquer it. It says to me "here I am, take me. Just do it, I dare you"
Summer Serenity wow....no matter what anyone says don't give up that dream
Summer Serenity You're going to need to learn how to play piano. It's not just learning to press all the keys. You need technique, it'll take years of lessons. You can't just skip to songs like this.
This was one of my favorite anime of all time... this song gives me goosebumps
