This song has a new meaning to me after playing Danganronpa v3... Shuichi and Kaede are like the Kousei and Kaori of the whole game after the piano event... This only makes me cry now T-T
man, right now i’m playing the game and oh my, how i cried during that part. poor shuichi :’( i’ve also watched your lie in april like 2 times and i cried in both-
I can't describe the feelings this recording gives me. I feel warm, sad, happy, comfortable and uneasy at the same time. The way the notes sound..... The way the keys are pressed down... This, is what I call love expressed through music.
This anime didnt change my life as i was already a musician before watching, but it made me think and realize how amazing and touching you can make music, and at the same time as shown by Kousei how untouching music can be to one’s soul. It allowed me to realize i have to cherish every moment and put your heart and soul into every one, because you’ll never know what will happen next.
(idk if you guys will read this but im going to tell my story bout piano) I thought i was the only one who experience what kousei experienced, the one where he can’t hear the notes and gets overwhelmed, resulting for notes and melody to go all over the place i actually abandoned my piano for 2 years because i was scared and hopeless (knowing i was only 9 yrs old that time and i know nothing about pianos nor classical pieces) but after watching this, i became motivated and started to play pieces i never knew i could play..and it taught me that piano isnt just about playing, it’s about who you want to play it for, and to portray how you want to play it because you’re you :) i’m 13 years old and i became motivated knowing that majority of the characters in this anime were only 12-14. I hope it did the same to fallen pianists :) if you have a dream, chase it. My current goal is to play winter wind, and i know i’ll make it someday

I've watched over 60 anime to date according to my MAL account. Your Lie In April is still the only one to have managed to make me cry. Something about it just warms my cold soul like no other show I've ever seen. Maybe it's because I identify with Kosei's indifference at the beginning of the show, maybe it's because of the slow-moving scenes where the characters just enjoy each other's company that mimic the moments in my life I always long for. Regardless, somehow in someway, it managed to get to me, and I'll always hold this show close to my heart as a piece of art deserving of more than a 10/10.
You lie in April: Barely any hugs No kisses at all No real confession of love. Also: the music that says everything so beautifully and holds me captive in its glorious way.
Omg! This music! I've heard this music before! When I was young, I had a toy that had a bear in a jack in a box and then if I turned the knob, it would play this music but in a music box version and the bear would move around along with the music. Ahh! The memories T^T
I'm glad it did, cause if it didn't, then it would feel like the show's plot is dragging, and if it was an episode shorter it would feel too compressed. So, imo, 22 episodes was the perfect option.
When you said you were going to put only soudtrack, I thought, well it will probably put Clair de Lune because of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, but I never thought it would be today although make sense. And when I saw you had posted I was like, finnaly, but not in a bad way, a good clear. Well thank you for bringing this beautiful piece of music. Greetings!! ^^
i remember this single night that anime and sadness.sadness around my life,my soul, this anime so perfect. when i watch this anime i trust to love and understand-love is sweet pain. Thanks for music
+ilqar aqayev I know how you feel, when I accompanied the anime, on 19 march (the final), I cried so hard that I swore to never. Obviously I'd ever seen animes with the theme of tragedy but this was the strongest of all, since then I never saw again animes with this theme. Greetings!! ^^
That was the most emotional scene im the anime if you ask me. This piece gives me goosebumps all the time and surprised me when they started playing it out of sudden
Claude Debussy is a genius. The song literally fits the picture and the theme of “the light of the moon”. It’s such a beautiful song, I have no words to express how good this music is honestly. Many people of my age group would Skoff and belittle this kind of music, but I am glad that I love this kind of music, it showed me that music and have a depth to it. Music can be so much more than a form of amusement, it can truly change someone’s life and I know for a fact that it certainly did change my life forever. I am learning how to play the piano right now and I hope that I can possibly even change one person’s life with my playing, and show them that music can be so much more than just a pretty noise.
My favorite moment is at 2:15 it just sounds so magical and wonderful 😭💕 like remembering a bittersweet memory from the past that was almost long forgotten before you finally go back to realizing that you know it can never happen again
I was going through a bad time and I was looking for a romantic comedy and I came across this wonderful piece. It wasn't funny at all but it left a beautiful mark on me. Thank you, even if you are fictional characters. I'll watch it every April and keep your memory alive.
The image should be dim and the outside of the image should be light with the reflection of the moon. That would fit the piece better, since it's representing the Moon.
TheAdorableMonster The real photo shot in the anime of Kousei playing this when Tsubaki sat next to him while playing. In this scene, Tsubaki reveals her inner hardships. The photo shoot even has a moon in the windows.
This anime is one of my favorites not only because it has such a great story and a sad ending. But this anime shows us the beauty of classical music and i like classical music cuz it's soothing
My mom would always play this for me as a child, and now I'm learning it. It may take a few months, but this song has so much meaning for me and makes me cry a lot.
i had always wondered about my dream. everyone i knew used to tell me about their dreams passionately and when they asked me about my dream i could only reply with "i don't know". i wanted to know what my passion was. i wanted to know what i really want to be. i started watching your lie in april and it touched me so deeply. it made me happy. it made me sad. but you know what? most importantly, it made me find my dream, my passion. i remember after watching an episode where emi and takeshi were playing piano, i was left with a weird and unfamiliar feeling in my chest. that moment, all of a sudden, i said to myself "i want to become a pianist!" "i want to become a musician!" there was this feeling in me that i've never felt before, i was filled with overwhelming joy. this may sound stupid or dramatic to you but i don't care about what you think. for me, your lie in april isn't just an anime, it's so much more that i can't explain. i'm so happy to finally find out about my passion. i will do everything it takes to make my dream come true, i will become a pianist one day! wish me luck!
I always wanted to play the piano. I remember when i was like 5, i skipped out on class and hid under Miss Campbells Grand Piano in the library, and the feeling was so enchanting. I begged and begged and begged, but my dad refused to spend money on anything except soccer. throughout my elementary and middle school years i would complete my homework with perfection. Always trying my best and getting almost perfect grades. But one day, I just stopped. I had no interest anymore. I wanted piano lessons, but noone would teach me. Then one day i was browsing through Hulu and I saw this anime. Now, I was skeptical at first because i dont like anime. But when i saw what it was about i just had to see it. I had just moved out of my parents house and moved in with my best friend, and he has an absolutely ancient upright piano in the living room. he taught me how to play the minecraft theme and that was it. now, after watching this show, i dont let anyone hold me back. I was everyone to hear this. to feel my story through the notes I play. Just like Arima.
Watching this anime reminded me to practice during quarantine and I could relate to kousei. When I was little I was forced by mother to play and the anime brought back many memories. I started watching the anime because I used to be a pianist but I am playing the violin now. So when I finished the anime I was so empty and just listened to classical music while reading romance books and I realized how much I love romance and love. I still replay sad memories in my head abt when I still played the piano but music helped me get through it
I've always loved playing the piano, but Your Lie In April wanted me to learn even more. I've thought of getting a teacher when everything opens up again, trying to learn to read Sheet Music myself.. Quite hard, but hopefully one day I'll be able to read music and play the songs I've always wanted to learn. I used to learn songs by watching videos on how other people play them, but I don't prefer that since I feel like I'm only limited to learn some songs. If I remember that I wrote this, I'll give you guys an update on how It's going!
38 seconds into this song and I'm sobbing. God, How the fudge am I going to actually be able to look at the score and play it on the piano and not cry? I immediately cry just from hearing it!
I took basic piano lessons when I was little and this anime revived my love for the piano and now I can play about half of clair de lune :) the most rewarding thing i’ve ever done but it’s still very difficult! i’m still struggling
I remember watching this and thinking to myself the entire time that this was Chopin's "Nocturne" Op. 9 No. 2. I knew fully well what "Clair de Lune" sounds like, but I guess I associated the ever-present moon with Nocturne even more, I guess.
this anime snapped something inside of me..to this day never has anything felt so deep...to think 14 year olds could feel so much blew my mind..i didn't cry but damn it hurt.
it took me so long to find this but i love this show and this song with all my heart it will forever be a part of me. A year ago i quit the flute then i found this show not im playing again with newfound joy this song and anime with never as long as my soul lives on will never be forgoten i will remember you koide as will everyone else whose every being was tuched so deeply by this masterpice you will never be forgoten
Why is it always the musical blonde best girl with a heart of gold who's trying to help everyone.... Gotta say i would much prefer for Kaede to have as much screen time as Kaori tho, imagine how much more impact that would make?
@@Efkas No problem. Just appreciating the musicians. I agree and it's actually surprising to me to see the level of skills these musicians have when recording for the anime. The interpretations are some of the best.
There are two pieces of music that I absolutely cannot listen to without dissolving into tears... Saint Saenz Piano Concerto No 2 in g minor and Claude Debussy Clair de Lune. These were two of the pieces that my dad used to play. I haven’t been able to listen to them since he died.
"I don't care if you're with me or not, so go!"

man, right now i’m playing the game and oh my, how i cried during that part. poor shuichi :’(
i’ve also watched your lie in april like 2 times and i cried in both-
I love how the category is "comedy"
Ashura Maru HAHAHAHA
dis is da wae
Its comedy because the writer and producers laugh at our tears.
Lmao this song is so funny 😂
Some people cope with grief in many different way
I can't describe the feelings this recording gives me. I feel warm, sad, happy, comfortable and uneasy at the same time. The way the notes sound..... The way the keys are pressed down...
This, is what I call love expressed through music.
me too
This anime didnt change my life as i was already a musician before watching, but it made me think and realize how amazing and touching you can make music, and at the same time as shown by Kousei how untouching music can be to one’s soul. It allowed me to realize i have to cherish every moment and put your heart and soul into every one, because you’ll never know what will happen next.
My music teacher sent me a task about Debussy and when I heard this song I was like "wait, I've heard this before...."
And immediately rushed to look.
Thank you Shigatsu Wa Kimi No Uso
"grab them by Debussy". - Trump 2k16
peter panda that cracked me up im laughing xD
Yes. Just yes.
original high quality meme is best meme.
peter panda proud 100th like
peter panda I think your in the wrong video
(idk if you guys will read this but im going to tell my story bout piano)
I thought i was the only one who experience what kousei experienced, the one where he can’t hear the notes and gets overwhelmed, resulting for notes and melody to go all over the place
i actually abandoned my piano for 2 years because i was scared and hopeless (knowing i was only 9 yrs old that time and i know nothing about pianos nor classical pieces)
but after watching this, i became motivated and started to play pieces i never knew i could play..and it taught me that piano isnt just about playing, it’s about who you want to play it for, and to portray how you want to play it because you’re you :)
i’m 13 years old and i became motivated knowing that majority of the characters in this anime were only 12-14. I hope it did the same to fallen pianists :) if you have a dream, chase it. My current goal is to play winter wind, and i know i’ll make it someday
Hmm I'm 14, I didn't take piano seriously in the past but now I do. I watched this anime last year December, it has made me much more motivated.
Have you seen Gaspard de la nuit?
Louis Chua not yet what is it about?
@@taeyongbbu9301 Gaspard de la nuit is a piano suite by Maurice Ravel and it is one of the most technically and musically demanding piano pieces. ruclips.net/video/n_yIgrkSNzE/видео.html
You lie in April:
Barely any hugs
No kisses at all
No real confession of love.
Also: the music that says everything so beautifully and holds me captive in its glorious way.
“Did it reach her?” -Kousei Arima
Omg! This music! I've heard this music before! When I was young, I had a toy that had a bear in a jack in a box and then if I turned the knob, it would play this music but in a music box version and the bear would move around along with the music. Ahh! The memories T^T
i wish the anime didnt end so soon
I'm glad it did, cause if it didn't, then it would feel like the show's plot is dragging, and if it was an episode shorter it would feel too compressed. So, imo, 22 episodes was the perfect option.
TheOneEyedKing Tru dat
thats some truth
When you said you were going to put only soudtrack, I thought, well it will probably put Clair de Lune because of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, but I never thought it would be today although make sense. And when I saw you had posted I was like, finnaly, but not in a bad way, a good clear. Well thank you for bringing this beautiful piece of music.
Greetings!! ^^
+Catarina Manuel haha
i remember this single night that anime and sadness.sadness around my life,my soul, this anime so perfect. when i watch this anime i trust to love and understand-love is sweet pain.
Greetings!! ^^
Just Beautiful.
This is my favorite piano song ever thank you so much it makes my heart melt😭😭💕💕
The thing I love about this piece is how warm it makes the the darkness and mysteriousness of a moonlit night.
Zhen Hong Li But the shot in the anime wasn't at nighttime....
TheAdorableMonster The real photo shot in the anime of Kousei playing this when Tsubaki sat next to him while playing. In this scene, Tsubaki reveals her inner hardships. The photo shoot even has a moon in the windows.
Tsubaki and Kousei at school at night?
well the soft echos mean confort and it still does fit both
Wow, I just realized this person posted this on Valentine's Day
For a Chopin enjoyer, this anime is straight up my favorite of all time
He was like that ice cream
The fancy one nobody gets cause it's too expensive,
The type that's not my style.
So I went for it
from your lie in april, danganronpa, even all the way to bts... we all made it here somehow, and im glad we did. love you all.
This anime is one of my favorites not only because it has such a great story and a sad ending. But this anime shows us the beauty of classical music and i like classical music cuz it's soothing
This anime is an absolute Masterpiece
My mom would always play this for me as a child, and now I'm learning it. It may take a few months, but this song has so much meaning for me and makes me cry a lot.
God dammit, this and then after the events of chapter 1 on Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.
i had always wondered about my dream.
everyone i knew used to tell me about their dreams passionately and when they asked me about my dream i could only reply with "i don't know".
i wanted to know what my passion was. i wanted to know what i really want to be.
i started watching your lie in april and it touched me so deeply. it made me happy. it made me sad.
but you know what? most importantly, it made me find my dream, my passion.
i remember after watching an episode where emi and takeshi were playing piano, i was left with a weird and unfamiliar feeling in my chest. that moment, all of a sudden, i said to myself "i want to become a pianist!" "i want to become a musician!"
there was this feeling in me that i've never felt before, i was filled with overwhelming joy.
this may sound stupid or dramatic to you but i don't care about what you think.
for me, your lie in april isn't just an anime, it's so much more that i can't explain.
i'm so happy to finally find out about my passion.
i will do everything it takes to make my dream come true, i will become a pianist one day!
wish me luck!
The 40 dislikes are from that one judge on alt accounts 😒
What I love about this channel is that they give the sheet music ☺️
They played this beautiful piece so *beautifully*
"Yup, that's our promise..."
I still replay sad memories in my head abt when I still played the piano but music helped me get through it
I've always loved playing the piano, but
Your Lie In April wanted me to learn even more.
I've thought of getting a teacher when everything opens up again,
trying to learn to read Sheet Music myself.. Quite hard, but
hopefully one day I'll be able to read music and play the songs I've always wanted to learn.
I used to learn songs by watching videos on how other people play them,
but I don't prefer that since I feel like I'm only limited to learn some songs.
If I remember that I wrote this, I'll give you guys an update on how It's going!
The reason I love the piano. So calm and you can feel it.
38 seconds into this song and I'm sobbing. God, How the fudge am I going to actually be able to look at the score and play it on the piano and not cry? I immediately cry just from hearing it!
my favorite song on the piano was played on my favorite anime. god i love this show😞
Thank you for making me cry.
“What are these feelings that I hold in my little heart”
Those 5 dislikes make me want to vomit.
Maya De la Rosa eugh now the nine of them yuck
anything can happen when you have no-life saddists trying to comprehend sophisticated beauty you know ...
they thought the "dislike button" meant "dis I like" lol great anime btw
If 5 makes you want to vomit, now you gotta vomit 9 times
now 53...
Sometimes love can be a pain you know? But loving someone can set you free, just like music :)
9 No. 2. I knew fully well what "Clair de Lune" sounds like, but I guess I associated the ever-present moon with Nocturne even more, I guess.
the beginning is similar, right?
No feat is ever truly insurmountable and no soul, alive or dead, is ever truly apart.
Solo puedo oir y suspirar:)
+Natanael Melinao si, es realmente hermoso
Taaaaaaaan tan tan tan tan
Cuando la oí no la reconocí. Es demasiado para un simple kokoro :"V

this anime snapped something inside of me..to this day never has anything felt so deep...to think 14 year olds could feel so much blew my mind..i didn't cry but damn it hurt.
"i'm saved....for now"
- Sebastian Castellanos

This is some good Music, i like to listen to it and replay again over and over
Category: *comedy*
RUclips the heck are you a sociopath now
Damn.....I was looking for this song for 3 years all ready...I finally found it
Damn it
The anime is your lie in April
And I remember kaede from danganronpa V3 too
Damn this is a sad sad song
Why is it always the musical blonde best girl with a heart of gold who's trying to help everyone....
Gotta say i would much prefer for Kaede to have as much screen time as Kaori tho, imagine how much more impact that would make?
This song makes me think about danganronpaV3 :(
Carmen ruiz astorga ...
brings tears to my eyes and music to my soul
Brings music to my eyes and tears to my soul.
Pianist: Tomoki Sakata
Thank you, man. I was wondering who performs all of this beauty, since some of this ost is the best interpretation I've ever heard
@@Efkas No problem. Just appreciating the musicians. I agree and it's actually surprising to me to see the level of skills these musicians have when recording for the anime. The interpretations are some of the best.
thanks kaori, thank you so much
because you for bringing me back to the guitar.
check out the version from evil within! it's a violin + piano combo and it sounds soooo pretty
The Evil Within horror game?
Roman Pantino yeah
I watch all your videos about shigatsu wa kimi no uso and... I love this anime and I think it's one of my favourite! Thank you! :')
YEAH THANK YOU!!! You messed up our feelings! YOU JUST MADE A MAN GO SOFT! AM I SUPPOSED TO BE HAPPY NOW???
Tqm Shigatsu ka mi no uso, de mis animes favoritos
And.....
Kaede.....
There are two pieces of music that I absolutely cannot listen to without dissolving into tears... Saint Saenz Piano Concerto No 2 in g minor and Claude Debussy Clair de Lune. These were two of the pieces that my dad used to play. I haven’t been able to listen to them since he died.
this was played in anime when kousei tell tsubaki that he wanna go to music's school 😢
I would do anything to watch this anime for the first time again truly masterpiece teach me bout love, warmness of music n overcome regret ❤️
