This song by Claude Debussy is a classic. I play the piano and this by far everyone who knows me wanted me to play this piece for them. One day I had my baby grand piano delivered to a beautiful field and played it for someone’s wedding 💒 and it sounded so powerful that everyone heard the echoes of each keys and cried. This shouldn’t bring sadness it should take you away into a different dimension and forget all your worries.

I lost so much the past few months, had a very heartbreaking split with someone. This song makes me think about sunny days sitting on the balcony, seeing our three cats sit by the window watching, particularly our orange tabby Morrison and our tuxedo cat Sherriff sitting side by side, grooming eachother, as they love eachother so much.

Thank you so much for an hour of beautiful music! I don't play the piano but i fell in love with this music the first I heard it.... I was emotional!❤... I was sad but joyful at the same time... and also at peace and in awe. I can listen to this music all day long.....!! Thank you Mr C Debussy for your music!
Currently writing a novel, and in a scene my main character plays this on a piano. Listening to this really puts me into the scene. It's so mesmerizing.
I find it funny that out of all of the high energy, cool, and hype songs made with all the new technology, a song over a century old still is one of my favorites
Timeless. I heard it many years ago in a movie or tv show. I’m hooked. I could listen to this over and over. I use it to calm my dog who we think is struggling with early onset of dementia. So it does make me sad. But it also makes me feel all my emotions. I will truly be sad when I hear after my dog dies. It is truly mesmerizing… thank you Claude DeBussy
My momma used to teach us kids and some of the neighborhood kids piano lessons. I remember her sitting at our piano playing this song when she thought she was alone. I’d always go hug her when she was finished playing and it was usually this song! Beautiful memory and beautiful song! 💕
I love this song❤️ it's my favorite ❤️ I told one of my son's a few years back how it makes me think of life, how when we're born we're afraid but then as we begin to see how beautiful and wonderous life is we begin to explore & grow but then as we get older life's experience can become scary again and unfortunately heartbreaking but then as we mature and trust in God and realize that he had us in his loving care all along and his love and our experiences give us the strength to keep going and if we put our complete trust in him that in the end there's love, light & peace and how we've been so blessed to have loved and been loved ❤️

There's something comforting in, after coming back to read the comments, seeing that similar feelings of sadness, longing and savoring happier memories were experienced by others who listened to this song too.
I loved this exquisite and beautiful music the first time I heard it when I was in college. It evokes so many feelings and emotions, sadness most likely. I would listen to this song while studying for all my exams! Somehow I humbly got excellent grades !! I still love listening to this song when I’m alone.🌹❤️❤️❤️

"Once we escape this place, I wanna know more about everyone, not just their talents... But also what food they like, what kind of books they read, how they spend their weekends... Oh! And I definitely wanna know what kind of music everyone likes! That's why we all should talk more. We may live far apart, but these days, there are lots of options for keeping in touch."

I had a nightmare a few nights ago and didnt want to sleep from there on. This piece of music is my life saver because I would have never been on my bed and sleep ever again due to that nightmare if it wasnt for this.
It is high standard of composition and performance. Debussy and earlier Polish - French Frederick Chopin astonished the world with amazing artism in piano music.
Coeur rougâtre Âme seul, ame de psychopathe Ne me regarde guère. J'ai appris a me battre avec ma détresse.
This song to me feels like a false memory. For some reason, this song has felt like an old friend i've known since I was young (ironic ngl), yet I have no memories of this song at any point in my life. I cannot remember a time where this song was used as a way to help me through a dark time, or used to calm me down. It's just a song that popped up into my mind, and has felt like an old and faded memory ever since. Maybe there's an old memory of mine that I cannot currently remember that involved this song, or maybe it's something from a previous life. I cannot give an answer. May this song continue to live on for a long while.

I was watching a video like normal, suddenly my phone slipped and I was listening to this masterpeace.. I feel like it was one of the gods of this green earth trying to give me a break from this corporal app so I calm down. Let this be a reminder to you that.. everyone should deserve a break, no matter the person. If the Simpsons taught me anything, Ned Flanders was always nice to Homer even if he hurt him. See you in 2029, future Yumi.
Ok so I watched just add magic and I herd this song and I didn’t know what it was called and I was so frustrated to find it and here I am by the way I love this song it reminds me of the past and I’m just getting so emotional about it

I always listened to clair de lune whenever I'm sick, it helps calm my brain down from stress
I love it.

There's something comforting in, after coming back to read the comments, seeing that similar feelings of sadness, longing and savoring happier memories were experienced by others who listened to this song too.
I conjure up so many emotions.. it’s that type of song.. just thankful for Debussy ❤

For some reason, I only think of "Ocean's 11" when I hear this... Very relaxing... ♥️♥️♥️
It is high standard of composition and performance. Debussy and earlier Polish - French Frederick Chopin astonished the world with amazing artism in piano music.
Ton coeur noisette, t'a peau lisse, brise mes insomnies
La nuit si belle, hier soir.
Matin d'abeille, embrase moi.
Ne me regarde guère. J'ai appris a me battre avec ma détresse.

Hyperventilation? Anyone? Ok just me. I used to hear this since 90s to accompany me while studying. Now, im still studying for my Phd 🥰
Laughing at this, then a small sob, and another laugh. And breathe....
If I had one word to describe this song… well it’s hard to describe, but the word would be… Beautiful
No, but does anyone remember this song from the first Twilight Saga movie. The memory of the scene comes in my mind every time I hear this.

In my ongoing attempt to promote classical music

I put words and story to some of the worlds
most popular classical music.
MESSAGE TO MYSELF/JUSTIN PEEL
CLAIRE DE LUNE/DEBUSSY
To "get it" you need to read it to the melody line.
I would suggest listening to the music first.
It is slow and thoughtful. Don't rush the words.
The first note of the piece is a bass note,
it sounds like it should be sung: “A mess-age”...
it sn't.
Start the song with the 2 melody notes just after the bass.
Mess-age...
(There are a lot of bass notes that stand out.)
SETTING:
Picture a slightly dishevelled looking woman
sitting in front of her makeup mirror.
She stares at herself...
At that moment Claire de Lune starts playing on her phone.
She starts singing.
You can find the music online.
Please let me know what you think of it.
