Thanks Bobby, what a boat! I find it interesting that the real sailing enthusiasts may not be able to afford such a boat and perhaps they would be happy not having such a boat either. Nonetheless I love your fixer-upper from Taiwan, it is the real thing. Keep sailing and keep safe.

This is more like a sales add for the boat maker than a tour for us.... is there a fish cleaning station on the back ?... trolling rod holders ? ....... freezer space for the fish ?.... out riggers ?
rod and tackle storage spots ?.... ROCKET LAUNCHERS ??? .... Ram mounts for the cameras you using to film ?..... HOT outdoor shower to get that fish smell off?..... Fighting chair for that big tuna ??? .....NO ? .................................., I think I'll pick up a new Quest Kodiak 100 and fly to OSHKOSH instead. Thanks.

Nice job on the tour. I was shocked about the price of $1.6M US for a jeanneau production boat. We are looking at the Amel 50 for $900K. Hope you do a tour and give us your opinion...
Michel Tremblay indeed, for 1.6m euro (before options and tax) you can get an Amel 60
There’s a huge difference between a 50 and a 64.... price wise and everything else. No sense in trying to make the comparison, really.
FesteroFest : i believe there is only a 50 and a 60 in the lineup. Both are fine boats!

You can get a 2015 for 954 000$ US negociable.
@@johnnyBeBad1234 That's what I thought. Which means you can probably get a 2010 for 600k. That's pretty steep depreciation.
@@bgd5339 I think they only started making the 64ft 2015....Check out the 57 if you want to go to 2010. Those are closer to 400 000$ and a really good boat too.

@Sailing Doodles good video but you have to slow down a little bit, be patient, actually listen to what's being said, and then move on patiently and slowly. You seem a little amped up on blow.
Please show less of you and more of what is being described on the boat. Never showed us the self-tacking jib rigging. Frustrating.
If I move the camera we lose the audio. I try and go back and film all the b-roll after.

If I had $1.6 mm to spend on a boat, this one would not even be close to making my list. It's big and new but looks cheap IMHO. There is much better value out there. Thanks for showing it though.

Looks like a nightmare in maintenance, but if you are a movie star and can afford it i guess you can pay someone to do that.
Uuugh, Volvo Penta. For $1.6 mil you could have a good engine. LOL. I'm sure the engines are fine but I know too many people who have had major electrical/computer problems with them.
So what's your choice of engines?
kevbjork1 mine works just fine. Very reliable, very economical, not noisy
Can you be more specific as to exactly what electrical/computer issues they are having?
@@AustinBoil Every thing from sensors to cpu problems. This seems to be on a lot of computer controlled new type diesels. They may be getting better but you have to be quite good at trouble shooting with proper diagnostic tools to work on them.
My mechanic says there’s only three marine Diesel engines sailors should consider... Yanmar. Yanmar.. and Yanmar...

Do what we did instead. Buy a very well equipped, cosmetically distressed 2005 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 54DS for $200K, put $70K into her and end up with a like new boat worth about $300K. Depreciation on new boats is a killer.

Another Ikea looking boat. The light wood makes the cabin light ,but gives it a cheap feel not a quality wood feel,like a nordhavn as an example. Such a shame what they do today.
