    Hi guys, John here with realtruck.com. Today I'm going to show you how to install the TonnoPro Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover on to a 2013 Chevy Silverado.
    All right, guys, one of the awesome things about this tonneau cover is it comes fully assembled. You open the box, there it is. So the next step for us is simply to get this on the truck. Very easy installation. Show you how to do that right now. This is a very lightweight tonneau cover, easy to manage. What I usually do is just set it up on top here, and then I'll slide it to the front of the truck. Just makes it a little easier, so you don't have to run back and forth each side, messing with it.
    Get it lined up pretty much about where you think it's going to go. And then it's a simple matter of reaching under, get your clamps, and pull those down. Slide it up under and, you just want to crank these down so that it's kind of snug but not tight, because you want them to be a little bit loose so we can adjust it if we need to move it around a little bit.
    I'll go ahead and unclip the top on this side while I'm over here. Then we'll go over and do the one on the other side. Snug it a little bit. The way you can tell if you've got it tight or not is if you can still scoot this around a little bit, then that's just about perfect. Go ahead and lock this, and then we'll roll this out. Go ahead and pull this cardboard off of here. Now what you want to do is unlatch these and put them in this position like this, because this down is going to be your lock position like that, like this. Because this down is going to be your lock position. So right now we want them on unlock. Slide it up underneath the bed. Go ahead and close the tailgate, make sure that it's fitting like we want it to. Got the side to sides the same. OK, looks like it's going to have to slide that way a little bit so, we'll give her a little scoot.
    All right, guys, it looks good, so, go ahead and drop the gate. Unlatch our back ones. Now, if you guys look, you'll see these stickers on here. What these are, these are a warning sticker to let you know not to leave these things hanging. Because if you do, you could either break these or damage your tonneau. So, you want to make sure that you always flip those back up and have them locked on both sides before you roll this thing back up here. 866-554-0581 Free shipping for orders over $100!

    Great product for my 2017 Silverado. Gloves really come in handy for tightening the front two clamps. The clamps are somewhat difficult to tighten with bare hands. The gloves are beaded and makes griping the clamps easier. Highly recommend this cover. Appears to be very tight and water resistant.

    Hello thanks for the video. I bought one today but the rear locks did not line up with my truck metal space. Is there a way to adjust the metal beams? So I can move it 5 inches?

    I have this cover. But I also want a rack that clamps under the rail. Any way to have them both??

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  9 лет назад +1

      Silva Jr The Tri-Fold will not work with a truck rack due to the stake pocket holes being covered. You could get a inside mount tonneau cover that will leave the stake pocket holes accessible. Your truck rack would mount into you stake pocket holes. What is your Year, Make, Model of Vehicle. I will give you some options.

    I just got my TonnoPro Tri-Fold for my 2019 Ram Truck, just installed and went for a drive. Going down the highway 55-60mph I noticed it flaps or vibrates quite a bit. I don't hear anything in the cab, unless I open the rear middle sliding window then I can hear it. I haven't put the foam seals around the bottom of my tailgate yet, will do that after work. But do you think that is why it seems like its getting a bit of wind underneath the cover from the gaps below the tailgate? Will the foam seals help with this? Its not loud or anything, just a little distracting at first looking at the cover vibrate/flapping a little when I look in the rear view mirror. Or is this normal and something I'll just get used to over time? Thanks.

    How do you compare this one to Gator Trifold Tonneau? Witch one performs better? Your recommendation plz..

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  7 лет назад

      +TekMan,
      The comparison is quite simple. If you look at our website we've actually removed the Tonno Pro. The quality was just not up to our standards and we had quite a few returns. They still make a great cover but with so many options on the market, we had to cut some of them.
      The Gator Tri-fold is going to be a great entry level tri-fold. It is designed for those weekend warriors and daily drivers. It's not designed for long trips and an abundance of highway speeds.

    Does this work with the Ford Bedliner?

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  9 лет назад

      HialeahScience Yes, it would fit perfect in your Ford. The bedliner will not interfere with the tonneau cover.

    how do I get rid of the gap between the top of tailgate door and the bottom of the cover? everywhere else sits flat.

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  8 лет назад

      You can tighten it a bit more or add a strip of weather seal to the rubber seal on the tailgate end of the cover.

    • @BobbyV198268
      @BobbyV198268 8 лет назад

      +RealTruck.com I tighten the handles down pretty well, I didn't want to over tighten and snap anything. I added a piece of weather stripping and we had horrendous rainfall the other night and literally only a couple drops of water got in.

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  8 лет назад

      Bobby awesome. Glad the weather stripping trick worked for you.

      RealTruck.com is the back end suppose to sit on top of tailgate or butt up to it. I talked to a representative from tonno pro and they stated it suppose to butt up against and they told me that I can remove screws on the rear rail and slide rail to get a tight seal

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  7 лет назад

      Dean Almeida it really depends on the application. You want the cover to sit on the bulkhead by the cab. If it sits on the tailgate as well that is great. Much better seal that away. Sometimes I will adjust it back and forth till I get it where it is on the bulkhead and the tailgate. This doesn't always work though and it is way more important that it seals well on the bulkhead. Typically any water that comes in by the tailgate should roll down the tailgate and out the bottom anyway.

    • @Realtruck

      Roel Mata Yes it is waterproof to an extent. Very hard downpours and car washes might cause a drip here and there.
