So, even though it has its issues, personally I really like the new Sony XV900. The XV900 is a great speaker to consider if you need something big for your man cave, but it also has the ability to follow you out doors thanks to its built in battery. Depending on your needs, the XV900 could be right for you. But today we’re going to compared the XV900 to both the JBL Partybox 710 and the Soundboks 3. Now this isn’t an apples to apple comparison… however, due to these speaker’s price ranges… I feel that they will be cross referenced a lot.

I really like it that you compare the sound difference with short enough length for each speaker such that we can hear the difference before we forget what the previous speaker sounds like.
You can't tell what they sound like just by watching the video. You can only hear what they sound like by listening to them in person
Trust me!!
@@zombieimpact2790 🤨🙄🙄🙄
@@zombieimpact2790oh really dude? Are you telling us that you’d hear the true difference in person instead of a video? Holy shit thank dude we didn’t know.
If you’re still clueless he was saying to can hear a difference in the sound on video good enough because of his timing of playing each. Doesn’t mean that there it’s a greater difference in person you muppet
@@zombieimpact2790you Def can tell
710 just murders everything else
Most ironic part is that it’s the most affordable aswell. JBL FTW
JBL is just good, man. In my experience. The end. Was set on the soundboks until I watched this. Going with a JBL 1000. Lol!!!!’
Nailed it bro
@@justinarcher9172did you get the JBL? I’d go with two 310’s vs a 1000
Other speakers won't last out a party outdoors camping soundboks has removal batteries and waterproof and plays for longer than bother speakers, speaks volumes here 🔊😂😂😂
It was largely thanks to your videos that I got 2 of the JBL 710's. Incredible speaker!!! Works amazing for my purposes at events. Thank you!
@@mytexaslife3584 Excellent! I'm banging one of them right now as I'm working out and the bass on this thing rattles my walls. Love the feel of it!!
yeah they are good but you might aswell buy two active ev pa speakers with that price lol without the battery idk what the point is of buying it is
@@Butterking99 What EV model speakers did you have in mind at about the same price with similar specs of 800 watts RMS and bass as low as 35 Hertz?
Also, I got the speakers brand new but greatly discounted. 😁
@@EngagedWellBeing at a discounted price it’s a different story, the reason I say this is that this speaker, obviously looks and is spec’d like a Bluetooth speaker, and is obviously aimed towards that market but the fact that it doesn’t have a portable battery in it can’t be unplugged would completely change the category of speaker all together and put it in a class with other plugged in stereo systems in PA systems not saying it doesn’t sound good because I’m sure they do sound great but the price per speaker doesn’t add up to the features you could get four times the power and have more versatility when the speakers price at 800 each but if you had a great deal, I’m not knocking it at all!. To answer your question good alternatives for stereos/ pa’s that plug in
Electro-Voice ZLX-12BT 12" 1000W Bluetooth Powered Loudspeaker $499 each
Klipsch Reference R-26FA Floorstanding Speaker, Black, Pair $679 (pair) or similar active speaker
Klipsch THE SEVENS BLACK POWERED SPEAKERS + 24" SPEAKER STANDS 1,648 (pair with stands)
@@Butterking99 The electro voice could be a good fit for my event purposes, but without the companion subwoofer it wouldn't have kicked as much bass as these JBL 710s. I did save them as a possible future purchase, because I may need a couple of speakers in the future to put on tripods and these EVs look like a good full range system. Thanks for that recommendation!
I have a Klipsch system, but they focus on home systems so it wouldn't be great for events.
I did take my home system a couple of times though to events in 2019 and I bubble wrapped the subwoofer and satellite speaker to pack it and make it work. 😄
It worked good, but obviously not ideal.
As the speaker test starts that JBL just rips everything else apart 😂😂🤣 Never to be underestimated!
Even years later, the results between these brands remain the same. JBL speakers always tend to sound the best in most comparison videos, in almost all size ranges. Sony speakers always tend to sound muddy compared. When it comes to headphones, the reverse is true. It's very interesting.
Completely agree with you
Good point
Bose QC45 is the best headphones
Compares to sony yes but compared to sound boks it's stacks up really well
@asenciolosangeles6778 soundboks is overpriced big time, sorry but that soundboks go is still overpriced at 550, 350 is where it should be, and the sb3 should be 600, and sb4 at 700, before discounts
I own the jbl 710 at home and 310 at work and love them both good bass good sound and can't go wrong with jbl they know how to make great speakers. Keep up the amazing content 😎🍻
Where is that workplace, i wanna go there
Hello! Do you think 2 310s would rival 1 710? I'm torn!
Thanks for any answers!
@@borg386 definetly. If u pair the 310s wich u meant i hope- Because u can set them up better. Imagine having a party and the sound is coming from 1 direction. If it feels like its inside ur head thats better. So basically get two 310s and set them up on each side of wherever u want to use them
Im so glad i bought 310 again. Was thinking about 110 for my room, but i have decided to go with 310 because its better for outdoor, or parties if needed.
Bro 110 solid speaker 😂
I'm trying to decide between one 710 because of the great bass, or two 310-s for better stereo maybe
@@JC-XL the difference is the loudness the bigger more loud and big bass
@@djblackshadow22 Yes, I'm leaning towards a single 710, that I will keep horizontally on the floor. But in this position I'm concerned how stereo will sound because the 2 tweeters will be on one side one over the other.
That's why I was thinking if 2x 310 speakers paired in stereo mode might be better, although with a weaker bass.
@@JC-XL 310 have enoug bass, two will have more + stereo. 710 is 2much for room or house use imo.
There's no comparison it's like night and day jbl are on another level 👌.
Going to get a 710 😎
Great info...thank you for helping me make my decision.
Glad to hear it!
The soundboks and the sony can hide, the partybox 710 is so much more louder and open than the other two and you can't say no to that awesome light feature.
youre so right i have the 710 and in the video its doing best in bass and treble and quality and for me has also better quality the bass on the soundbox the bass sounds kind of fake idk why
the soundboks 3 is way louder than the 710 lmao

The truth is that the JBL 710 does defend itself very well despite only having 2 trebles and the Sony 6 gives the Sony a lot of competition, very good JBL 🗿
Great review!
I like how you have speakers in the background when you do those slow panoramic like shots. Nice touch
Great review as always! What's your take on the JBL 710 vs 1000? I know the 1000 is definitely louder, but what about sound quality? Thanks!
They're same at loudness,i think you would be happier with the 710, because has app and u can control lights and everything, the 1000 have a little more bass, but trust me,the 710 has enough
Waiit the is portable power stations like the one from Jackery and Anker shouldnt it work to use the big ones with a 710?
Jbl 710 is the best ! I use 710 in my home and i love the quality and the bass of the speaker!!!
Can you use it in the car ?
In home where power is available, I prefer to use Crown commercial amplifiers (made by JBL). One of the amps is pushing 1100w RMS per channel for the subs.
Just wish it had a battery
yes but without battery is useless 70% of the time
Buy a battery pack like a Jackery
@GYMCADDY what do you think would be better for a portable loud speaker 2 jbl boombox 3s or 1 soundbok3? I'm trying to figure it out an I need help!
I think I would get two BB3's. this way you have more use options and you can get left and right stero sound going.
JBL devours both of them! I bought a PB310 as a gift a week ago and man! Its a complimentary getter!! Its amazing! I just bought 310 because 710 would be an overkill to be in my room. Gotta love em PBs!!
wait till u hear the PB 1000 play in person , it will devour all the JBL PB speaker , the 12inch subwoofer is insane ,
At the same price point what speaker would you choose the JBL 710 vs 1000?? Please some one help
Bro...even just with the cellphone, the sound clarity of JBL is beyond clarity.
That's all I need to hear.
Thanks for the comparison but, for a reason I know the winner.
sem dúvida, é o melhor canal de vídeo comparativo. parabéns pela produção do vídeo. excelente

Very well produced video. Nicely done, sub’d.
what was the app you used to mesuer the sound
Has anyone found a way to eliminate the hiss on jbl BT speakers or is it normal?🤔
I tried a partybox 300 for DJing.
I was useless as there was a delay.
Does anyone know if the 710 has the same problem?
I'm using 2 110's for djing, no delay at all if you are using an aux cable
@@nickhoubrechts7343 must just be the 300 then
what app do you used?
One question, during db measurements was the equalizer turned on and set to max in the partybox 710?
U mad that he performed the best?:)))))

Does the extra tweeters create a surround-filling sound on XV900?
Ya it's for Dolby
you mean i can connect my jbl on the go to my 710 and play it at the same time? using audio cable?
Can any one comment on how well the EQ feature works on the Soundboks? I love the industrial design, ruggedness, features of the Soundboks but prefer a warmer sound signature-
eq feature sucks, actually lowers the overall volume
Yes I agree just sold my sb3 I wanted to try JBL but I miss my Sb it's so portable & loud as hell
710 with app eq is insane, probably 20% louder and stronger sound then before, hm PB 1000 is in big trouble now, i Bet 710 now is louder and more balanced sound then PB 1000..
Pb710 EQ boosted hits ~120 db
While PB1000 is +122db
Be careful with eq I've blown speakers not using those correctly over loading the bass
The eq app is a separate app that needs to be downloaded?
@@Black____No it just the JBL app. And when you connect to the speaker you can do what you want, with eq and lights.
Why is the bass on 710 set to punchy, deep is so mutch better 💪🏻
Low key true
Thanks....going for 710
Super sprzęt 👌
great video
Total annihilation by the 710
Have you guys tried the Sony mhc-v72 is much louder my brother had it i was like wtf really loud
After this video's comparison. I decided to get the partybox because it was the cheaper option and also the better one. I have to say this speaker is super overkill if you will only use it indoors. I use it at work in a very loud environment. And even then I only use it at 50-60% volume because anything higher than that and it's almost painful. You can feel the bass from a long distance. I could never imagine myself getting a partybox 1000 or the ultimate for that matter. Dual 710s will be more than enough for personal use imo.
Wwjat happens to the stereo sound??
The JBL has a much fuller sound compare to the other two!!!
R.I.P Sony Home Audio División.
1946-2023.
I have a 110 and use it as my speaker for my pc cause it doesn't have speakers work really well tho and thinking about buying the 710
Ur last review comparing the 710 to the soundbox a year ago u said u preferred the sound of the soundbox , did something change firmware update , u also said the soundbox got louder but this time u said the 710 get louder ? Really like ur reviews just wondering
Hey
JBL sounds clear and loud 📢. But only ➖ point is that it has no inbuilt battery 🔋. Sony n soundboks has inbuilt battery 👍 . Great thing of soundboks is that it has a removable battery 🔋 like a torch 🔦. 🙏
where is the 6 tweeters sound go?
Going for the 710 thanks
The only thing these are good for in my opinion is if you absolutely need a portable speaker. If you're just using this for your mancave or something, than get an actual set of speakers and amp. The entire set up could even be cheaper than these speakers. I'm using a set of klipsch RM600 for my main speakers, a klipsch subwoofer, and a few Micca speakers for surround sound
I don't know what to say, I've been watching your videos for some time, but also to others, when I make these comparisons. I have the strong impression that you are doing something the sound to the other speakers apart from JBL, especially the Sony speakers, and Sony products in general. you make something to sound wrong. But it seems you are distorting the sound too much! For example here Sony seems to me to sound extremely bad, but I don't think it's like that in reality. Something is wrong!
I’d like to know how many watts the JBL draws so I know how big a portable power unit you’d need to pair it with.
I bought an ecoflow river pro for my two pb 710s, at half volume one pb710 draws an average of 50w, at 80% the peaks can reach 130w. I also bought an ecoflow river mini and could use it for 4 hours with one pb 710 on half volume with lights and bass boost turned off 👍
@@tagemathiassen does a car handle it?
@@tagemathiassen excellent data, thank you. I have a tiny Jackery 300 so it sounds like I could get up to six hours at half volume with that, and it can handle the draw at max volume.
ecoflow river pro manages this without problem, the max consumption of PB 710 is 150W
Sony still needs to do better with their other speakers and make them sound louder it's cool that the xv900 doesn't sound as muffled but they still need to work on their other speakers which still doing a pretty bad job at
Not bad, they are good sounding speakers, may be you don’t like the sound signature from Sony
@@gianniantonello1501 It's just sad that the XB43, which has a very good sound signature, didn't get a good upgrade.
@@AlexeMazzz you mean more loud? I am interesting to buy one
Gotta respect Harmans
The Sound Engineers
"The JBL 710 gets the loudest"
Is that also for when playing at 100% volume?
I've heard the Soundboks still gets a little louder than the 710 at 100% volume?
You can never go wrong with JBL
There is a german channel M1M that puts dB of the boxes under the vids.
The 710 reaches the same as the soundboks and has an equalizer in the app with a new firmware where you can increase volume by 10-15%
710 has heavier bass though, and 1000 or Teufel Rockster are still a bit stronger.
The 126dB of the Soundboks exists only on paper and doesnt stand a chance against the non-mobile boxes
there about the same
Ya I can't stand a speaker you can't plug in and use batteries suck however it is a nice addition to have the option to use it even if for a short time without power so I have to have a speaker that can do both
I hope Marshal will go competitive too….
Hello, pourrais tu tester audiocase S10 elle et comme la soundbok bonne enceinte puissante mes hifi sa pourrait leur donné un coup de pouce car très bonne enceinte. Thx
If you don't care about 710 not having a battery, it wins in literally every way possible. It's the cheapest, it's well build, has internal wooden enclosure, has best light feature and best sound quality with excellent deep bass.
There's just no competition.
Wish there was more square speakers on the market
Its funny that Soundboks claim a 5 hour batterylife at max volume, when at the same time they claim it has 3 x 72 watt RMS amplifiers built in. So in all 216 watts of amplification. But the battery in only 100wh and so if the amplifier claim are correct, it should only be able to play at max volume, for about 25min. And this is only if the amplifier does this at 100% effeciency.
How much
Prices in the uk at the moment
Soundboks 3 £849
Sony XV900 £849
JBL Partybox 710 £649.99
I have the 710 and the hype is real
I’m glad I got the 710 lol. It shakes my shop. And it’s 20,000 square feet. 50% I can hear it still in the lobby
its your own earthquake machine
@@GYMCADDY I tried it in my office and was worried it would knock picture frames off the wall in my office and my mom’s next to mine haha! This thing is wonderful 😂
Teufel rockster?
For those who really still want Sony but realize it’s not the best you need to play flac files there louder and have a media app that can play flac files with an eq it makes the speaker sound louder
Wave Files are another Great choice btw
The difference is incredible between the 710 and the others. they're not even in the same league as the JBL.
What's the watts for each one
I only know the JBL 710 and it has 800 watts of continuous power input

17:38 who else noticed that he put a jbl partybox 310 bass port instead of a 710
jbl did a very good job here. basses are much stronger. it is obvious that if you buy a this size speaker you will buy it for its bass.
Yeah 2023 and JBL still smashing the others outta the park 😂 their sound signature is just so locked in yes they aren’t audiophile typa speakers but they are the best in their class
Listening this on my SB3 👀
Well sheesh lol. I'm BIG on Sony but you can't deny the JBL kills it in the sound test and all around build quality 💯.
Last time you said that the sound box 3 sounds better now what happened to you bro
gona get my 710 tomorrow☺
You’re going to love it
I am planning to buy encore🧘
funny to see, GYMCADDY always, in every video, treats bass like you can "direct" its output. Bass is spreading trough the air like a ball, same output in every direction, not like a "torch". Bass always becomes amplyfied when the speaker is close to a wall or a corner. NO MATTER where the bass ports faces. thats simple 1x1 room accoustic knowledge.
I have never been a Sony fan. I have 2 party box 710s and 2 soundboks 3s . The 710s are my favorite but the soundboks are nice to use outside where they sound the best because they are definitely outdoor speakers. I really wish the 710s had a battery.
I have 2 100' and I tend to NEVER use the battery
True that what all that is missing and I think it will no doubt be the best Bluetooth speaker ever made of corse
@@justaguyfromreddit I have 2 100's also and I don't think I have ever run the batteries dead either
Use a big outside Power sation from jackery, ecoflow or anker you seem to have the money than you can use the beasts 710 outside
@Peter Braatz they don't take as much power as you would think. I have a Pecron P600 600watt it works well. I love the power stations . I can run my pa systems and dj booth it I need too
Why the 710 wiithout batteries?I Will buy a Mackie speaker and a wirless adapter will sound 2 times better!!
One thing i hate about rear ported speakers is that they suck outside.
JBL Partyboxes are terrible outside in the open.
Like a field or a forest.
Rear ported speakers need a wall to have more bass outside.
In a field with no walls you must be behind the speaker to hear the bass.
In front you only hear the sound and that is not cool.
Also against a wall you also need to be next to the speaker not in fornt of it, because the speaker doesn't have so much bass.
But a front ported speaker is alot better outside.
Because the bass comes from the front.
I want a front ported speaker that is super bassy outside and not some rear ported speaker.
Passive Radiator speakers are then better for indoors.
And JBL Partyboxes are bad also inside from the front.
If you want the best bass you must be next to the speaker.
I have experience with JBL Partybox 310.
And i think a front ported speaker is also good indoors.
If the front ports are in the bottom like LG RN7 for example.
Not like Sony XV900 little raised.
One of my many buddies from Instagram made a Subwoofer box with front ports in the bottom and the bass is monsterous.
Super loud.
So a speaker with front ports is also good.
partybox speakers only sound good indoors or outdoors with a wall behind for the bass reflex otherwise it lacks bass
.
For the outdoor an PA speaker will be more effective.
So cool
I have jbl 710.....its bass is insane thundering
The 310 kinda competes with the SB3 but with the 710? Its night and day
That jbl kicked ass on sound
It sure does
JBL sounds natural all well balance, and sony and soundbloks the sounds quality is like a recorded music in cheap mic

Portability and power is all you really need, the soundboks provides that.
Nah,i l take the jbl
Yes I've had the sb 2 and 3 compared to jbl it really does sound amazing considering its portable. Only thing jbl does better is the bass but obviously with the power it gets while plugged in you'd expect that
Thinking about putting a partybox 710 in the back of my car and getting it's own battery to power it
I think a high wattage wired inverter is what you need to plug it into
Just get a car sub bro😂. It will be better in everyway
square speaker means proprietary and not replaceable

Does Apple have something like this? I love Apple's sound quality, probably the best to me. I bet they'd make a bad ass speaker.
Soundboks 3 and jbl partybox 710 can both be found for just over $600 rn, half the price of their newer counterparts the jbl ultimate and soundboks 4 which aren’t THAT much better. “Best” speakers out rn for the money
