Philosophy, as Marcus Aurelius said, 'You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.' These ancient teachings remind us that true change starts within. It’s incredible how wisdom from centuries ago remains the key to navigating today’s complexities. 🌟

“There is a famous dictum of a western philosopher, Rene Descartes: COGITO ERGO SUM - I think, therefore I am. This is absurd: I THINK. therefore I am? It shows that thinking is primary and being is secondary - I think, therefore I am. Thinking is secondary. being is first. First you are, then you think. If you are not, then who is going to think? Thinking cannot exist in a vacuum. If somebody says, “I am, therefore I think”, it is right. But to say “I think, therefore I am” is simply absurd. But still there is a meaning to it: Descartes is the father of western philosophy, and the whole western mind has been influenced by two persons - Aristotle and Descartes. So in the west everything goes through thinking; EVEN BEING GOES THROUGH THINKING. Even being is not a simple fact; you have to think about it first, then you are - as if it is a logical conclusion. It is existential, it is not logical."
Respectfully, one has to read Descartes' comment in the context of His whole argument. He's not saying that thinking is primary, before existence. He's saying that thinking is a proof that you exist. He argues that, hypothetically, a demon can deceive you with respect to everything else: whether you have a body; whether there's an earth; whether there are other people, etc.. But he cannot deceive you that you don't exist. No, he says, that's the one thing you can know for certain. Why? Because you think. If you would read his whole work, I believe you will find by comparison that the arguments against his thesis are much less persuasive. And if I'm deceiving you about this, at least, as you reflect on it you'll know that you exist.
Thank you for sharing your thought! 🙏 It’s true, every philosophy offers a piece of the puzzle and contributes to a broader understanding of reality. That’s exactly what makes exploring them all so fascinating!
It's fascinating how ancient philosophies like Sanatan Dharma explore concepts of eternity and the infinite, offering a perspective that aligns deeply with modern understandings of spacetime. Timeless wisdom indeed.
“Plato is simply a record-keeper - he has not a single idea of his own! He is a devoted lover of Socrates, and whatever Socrates says, he goes on recording it, writing it. Socrates has not written anything - just as no great master has ever written anything. And Plato is certainly a great writer; perhaps Socrates may not have been able to write so beautifully. Plato has made Socrates’ teachings as beautiful as possible, but he himself is no one. Now the same work can be done by a tape recorder. And Aristotle is merely an intellectual, with no understanding of being, or even a desire to search for it. These people are taught in the universities. I was constantly in a fight with my professors. When they started teaching Plato, I said, “This is absolute nonsense, because Plato has nothing to say of his own. It is better to teach about Socrates. Plato can be referred to - he has compiled it all. But Socrates’ name has become almost a fiction, and Plato has become the reality”
Thank you for the question! Sufism is certainly a tradition rich in wisdom and depth, although it is more often considered a mystical path rather than a philosophy in the classical sense. That said, many of its teachings can be seen as philosophical, especially when it comes to reflecting on the nature of existence and the connection with the divine. It’s a fascinating topic that definitely deserves attention, and we will certainly cover it in future content! 🙏
Thank you for mentioning Ubuntu! It’s a fascinating and deeply relevant topic. We’re considering covering it in a future piece of content we’re working on. 🙏
Oscillation of zero energy universe can provide positive Vishnu universe and negative Shiva universe when zero energy universe is the creator Brahman universe

You may be a Demon
That's exactly what he means
Once we think, we are. Does a rock knows it is?
There is some truth in all of these with each being one aspect of it all.

Philosophers make things up. It's imagination.
Nothing from Africa? Ever thought about the group think in UBUNTU...it's community of minds?
Sorry about the mix up of including group think as a descriptor in capturing the community thrust of a people..
Thank you for mentioning Ubuntu! It’s a fascinating and deeply relevant topic. We’re considering covering it in a future piece of content we’re working on. 🙏
All these paths got different paths to hell
Ironically several men mentioned werwBible believing Christians

In a word, bollocks.😂😂😂
Christianity is the solution and answers all these philosophical questions and search.
