The irony of spelling "Vanity" wrong when explaining don't be afraid to look bad and make mistakes. I often wonder how people can go without seeing things over and over in life like Vanity magazine covers. Thanks for this video -well done! I'll be gidding rich before too long with its instruction. ;)
Thank you very much for this video❤. I didn't know that my problem was called perfectionism until after you told your story about it. I had the same exact problem but in just a different situation. My situation is in making a research paper for our school with me as the leader of 4 members. I didn't know that my standards were so high because I use my work quality as the standard. I actually call my work as high quality while my members' are medium quality. Based on your video, this means that I should lower my standards which will result into a quality of our research paper that I won't like. However, we will be able to finish it and be happy about it if I lowered my standards. Therefore, thank you very much because you just changed my life with this realization. If you ever get discouraged in life, always remember that your work here in RUclips change lives. Thank you very much again❤❤.
Another simple way! Every day try to learn something only one thing. Think all the things you can learn in a year and so on. One more this takes a little longer. Try to unlearn and get rid of bad habits. One every month! You get the idea of what you can be in a few years ✌🏻👽
This is correct. This is how I taught myself piano.....I didn't sweat the mistakes either as I learned from them as well.😊 Weight loss too...... plateaus come, that is when the body is recalibrating to the new weight. God bless.❤
I think there is a fourth type of person. The one that doesn't want to learn. The one that doesn't have the patience, or desire, who doesn't begin, in the first place.
Winning IS everything. What people get wrong is that they ASSUME this means there’s a winner and a loser. Instead, it means find the win-win scenario not the win-lose scenario. If you think win-lose, you don’t understand what Coach Lombardi meant.

Very good video, just saw minor typo for Vanity in one of the challenges. Agree wholeheartedly with what was presented. We have been trained to get immediate satisfaction so becomes very difficult during the plateau. Learning to enjoy life in between us is the key!!! The present moment is the only "reality", as past and future are mental constructs. Learning how to change is one of the most powerful skills we can adopt. If we are not changing, we are falling behind because the world is always changing. Thank you again for sharing!
I liked the way that you teach me a nice thing is that the winning is not the everything because I was obsessed to win and I also hurt myself and I was losing previous one month it was frustrating and annoying. Thanks for helping me out bro!!! ‼‼brilliant for YOU(chess)
The main theme of this video is explaining us the concepts of plateaus and homeostasis when we are doing things we like. With the person also explaining 10 case scenarios in tackling homeostasis and Plateau. Two types of graphs were also displayed during the Plateau and Quick fix part for visual understanding.
I'm really thankful for this video. I remember a time when I was homeless and facing many challenges in life. Then things turned around when I started earning $75,000 every two weeks. My life changed from having nothing to being able to offer something good to the world.
I'm the dabbler! Changed 5 jobs in 1.5 years!! I almost wasn't hired to the company I like ,I think dabblers are very often struggle with anxiety and they perfectionists
My advice about winning and recognition from others, just select one aspect of your craft and make it your main weapon (for competition). Okay, well you may still can't win, yeah, harsh reality; but doing that will help you not lose easily. If you're a three pointer, then don't get too frustrated about your layups or if you can't dunk, instead of focusing of the overall field goal, just focus of the percentage of your three points. You don't need to win or be recognized in everything, know your strength, what you're good at, choose your battle. And for the rest that you're not yet good at or still working on; enjoy the process, I call it internal winning. So win outside and also inside. Not all people will applaud you, but if you fail to recognize yourself, then you'll surely fail on everything.
Thanks for sharing some practical lessons if you quit halfway through, you'll never master anything. Even if you make it through halfway the course, there are even more challenges (plateau) that you need to overcome over time. Those who persisted will achieved something and able to master the skills of the trade needed. An interesting video and lessons to be learned from it, I say if you're teaching about something to others and make sure you are able to retain most of them without quitting then finished running the race together. We all started as a Dabber and then become obsessive in things in we do and finally become a hacker for the day and stay forever in the comfort zone. Homeostasis is keeping things familiar and refused to change and what we need to do to change them (3 factors to consider). Finally, the 10 challenges or factors that you need to know and do in order to achieve the things or dreams (you need to tackle and overcome the obstacles that comes along the way). Let us strife to leave a legacy behind for others to follow even if there is no public recognition for the works done.
