Vibeology is bad ass , love it but her top song has to be , Cold Hearted. 10's, 10's, 10's across the board!!!!
Being a Janet fan and loving Paula’s work with her, I couldn’t wait until to see her do her own thing. She didn’t disappoint. Her first video “knocked out” blew me away. I watch it today and I’m still trying to work out some of the choreography without blowing out a knee. Paula gets so grief about her voice on the projects but her choreography and visuals are on point in every video. She kind of works like Madonna in the since that she is always reinventing the way she does a performance. She also gave as a glimpse of dancing mixed with animation. Knocked out, cold hearted snake, the way that you love me, opposites attract… and the way she opens “straight up” are some of her iconic moments.
Paula was a well-rounded entertainer, visually and musically. I think her creative genius is underrated and could have gone a lot further in her music career.
She is such an amazing dancer.....I learned the entire dance routine in my freshman year in high school.
Paula has made a lot of good music, but this one is hands down my favorite. It's so catchy you just can't sit still.

There was a time when Paula Abdul was everything in the late 80's and early 90's....pretty much every single from her "Forever Your Girl" album went to #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 ...Paula was definitely the "It" girl of this era !!! And "Spellbound" was an amazing album...this song being my favorite but have a soft spot for "Rush, Rush" (with Keanu Reaves in the video to make it totally 90's haha)!
Paula Abdul had 6 Number Ones in a row in USA. A very short career but really successful. At that time, she was a big rival of Madonna and her friend Janet Jakcson. Her style was so smart and ellegant. Happy days for music. She, songwriters and musicians did a really good job.
Spellbound was a highly underrated album
I love the use of Q-Sound 3D technology from back in the day way before binaural or Dolby Atmos was a thing.
My favourite song from Paula Abdul is "My Love Is For Real" as this is a collaboration featuring the amazing Izraeli Yemnite singer Ofra Haza. A very Middle Eastern oriental feel, which is not surprising as Paula Abdul's parents were a Jewish family from Aleppo in Syria.

Paula's album "Spellbound" was the first "non-spanish" cassette i bought (i only had some original cassetes of Mecano). And this Vibeology song was maybe my favourite, with "My foolish heart" and "Blowing kisses in the wind".

The album version is the longer version of the original "Vibeology." Although there are Club Mixes of the song such as the Silk Hurley Club Mix, the original mix is my favourite mix! This is Paula at her most joyous. The music video is perfectly suited to the song as is the sharp dance moves! It is pure Dancefloor burning party song. The reception of it when I have been in the dance club. After the "Spellbound" album, Paula included similar songs "Sexy Thoughts", "Love Don't Come Easy" and the more soulful "Ain't Never Gonna Give You Up" from her third album "Head Over Heels."

great song from 90's with a dance choreography as we could see in the clips of the time but her best songs are straight up and cold hearted in 1989 and of course opposites attract (1990), a heady song. Videoclip (a cartoon cat with Paula inside) is cult.

Not a big hit from her second album, Spellbound. This 4th single peaked at 16. Her lowest charter at that time. Her first album had 5 or 6 big hits. The first album had really many good tracks, though it was all about the production and videos and not so much about her singing, but unlike Janet Jackson she couldn't even keep the level up with the second album.... even that song, though a very good project to start with was imo went completely the wrong way.... sounds a little bit odd later in the song... not my cup of tea...

In addition this album "Spellbound" (her second) I have it, I bought it with my pocket money for the first time at the beginning of the 90's (1991) when I was a teenager because I liked the first one a lot. extract "Rush, Rush" a few months earlier which aired non-stop on the radio waves (radiophonic song) but also in music video because it was her return after more than a year of absence.
This song VIBEOLOGY released in the US on January 16th 1992 and November 27, 1991 (UK) is the fourth single from this second album "Spellbound", reached number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Abdul's first single not to make the Top 10 in the U.S.
It's a groovy, jazzy/funky new jack swing beat song which is energetic,punchy and dynamic that makes you want to dance. With this song you feel in a good mood and if you play it early, you're in good shape all day!
I believe the song was used as a soundtrack or was in the movie Boomerang or Beverly Hills Cop III with Eddy Murphy.
