Actually nope. I remember the t10m being the king of all tanks. Leos would have to carefully aim them, while the t10 could one shot a leo in any place.

I was playing the Modern Warfare 3 campaign again for the first time in years the other day. There's one mission in Russian-invaded Germany where you get this section of pushing down a street flanked by Leopard 2A5s, and let me tell you, that MBT is absolutely as beautiful up close as it is driving it. Seeing that thing tear through infantry and buildings alike was amazing. I'm sure I thought they were Abrams or something when I was a kid, glad to see my tank knowledge has vastly improved.

Gaijin should exchange the places leopard one with the m48 in the tech tree so that the m48 comes first, this would make more sense in timeline/progression wise
They were both serving at the same time though and batches of M48 were still coming when Leopards were in production. Also from game's perspective it is good to have them equal for a decent lineup. What pisses me off about this game are vehicles I'm craving to play but no lineup for their BR.
@@janchovanec8624 i do understand you point, but i do also believe its a way better transition, you are coming from the panther, go to another medium with similar features (but that starts to exchange armor for speed) them go to the leopard line where you fully exchange armor for speed until the 2k
They should place the Leopard 1a1a1 in place of the M48G.... than place the Leopard 1a4 in place of the Leopard 1a1a1 .
The Leopard 2AV was not the prototype for the Leopard 2A4. The AV was created to harmonize components between the Leopard 2 and XM1 and see which one is better.

The Leo 1 we have is a Pre Production model. it should get acces to the A1 upgrade pack which all pre production models recieved. gives it new tracks sideskirts and a stabilizer
The Leo1A1A1 should be corected to resemble the 1A5 while getting reintroduced as the 1A1A1 at 8.0 without the APFSDS
Implement Leo1A3 and A4 gaijin
Leo2k has a broken sim gunsight, if you elevate it to high you see nothing and it is in the wrong spot. its using the comanders peri instead of the gunners optic. this is an issue with nearly all Leos. L44 uses the backup sight, 2A4 uses backup sight and 2k uses comanders peri
The Leo2A4 is now a more or less outdated vehicle and could do well with an amror upgrade, giving it C-Tec instead of the curent B-Tec armor as a modification would greatly increase its performance
The Leo2A5 is missing more recent amo and base armor, using C-Tec as its base composite. furthermore the arowhead spaced armor should not be able to get shot off by Sabot shells, its solidly mounted and the focused force of a Sabot isnt enought to knock it away, HE tho its understandable

I know it's an later developed round, but why does the T-64B has the 3BM42?
In case of this, the Leopard 2A4 should be able to have acces to the DM33!

America and germany are the most played and have the biggest player base in the entire game. They have to be against eachother in order for players to have constant matches.
Also when america was killing everything nobody complained.. now that they have to actually think .. we want NATO. We are fine with the Russians.

@@predattak abrams ,after the patch it was added in, always required skill to play, having an awful gun you always had to aim at weakspots while other tanks could lolpen you.

@@wessel5811 C type Armor which is what the 2A5 has but on a buffed version. The armor package the 2A4 we have in game atm is using B type armor
Leo2A4 with the C-armor package and M1A1HA would literally be straight up the perfect counter parts, but Gaijin fucked up like usual

Remove repair costs from the game altogether.
MechWarrior: Online did it, War Thunder can do it too. No excuses to keep this outdated and hated mechanic in the game.
And don't make us wait for it to be repaired in the hangar either. (12 days for free repair is unacceptable.)
And get rid of crew lock as well, especially if you get teamkilled and have to wait 8 mins as a reward.
This seems like an obvious solution but there are other factors that must be considered:
1. If repair costs are removed, then ramming in air matches will increase, which nobody wants. There is no incentive keep your plane, so why no just ram into bombers etc. when your ammo is reloading/empty?
2. Another big problem with ground matches (especially in RB) is using a low tier fast vehicle like the M22 or BT-5 to cap a point, J out then get in a helicopter early game and wreck everyone. Without repair costs, there is literately no downside to using this tactic. The problem will only get bigger.
I agree that repair costs are way too high in many cases (B-29, Tu-4, some SPAAs etc.) but in order to get rid of them we need to first look at how to solve these problems too.

I think they should at least reduce the repair costs so they would think of the repair costs. Also they should raise SP for helicopters. Also... repairs should be paid by the teamkiller if they do so cause I still lose some money after getting tk'ed. As of for crew lock, they should remove it or at least reduce the timespan.
Edit: They should also increase rewards for getting a kill depending on your repair cost and such. Not to mention they should reduce the ridiculously high RP and SL requirements.
#2 is not punished by repair costs tho
Since the KPZ. 70 is currently the last tank on the german heavy tank line, is there a possibility to see East German Soviet Tanks in the german tech tree at some point?
Certainly, that would be great in a way since they used T-55's and T-72's. However, since the T-55 and T-72 are very different tanks with different BR's and the German ground forces tech tree consists of West German tanks, they have to move stuff around. Most likely, they'll move the KPz. 70 to the Leopard line which will make sense since Leopard 2A4 and so on were developed from it. Most likely though, they probably won't do it since the Leopard 2A5 is OP enough already
No. If you want USSR vehicles, go play the USSR tree.
Yet there's that MiG-15bis and MiG-19S in the aviation tree. Not to mention that East German tank battalions used T-55's and T-72's IRL

actually the farming is very fast if you have premium which you get for 20€ for 180 days on sales (since the update came out it took me about 2 weeks for the 2a4 and 2a5 plus 60k for the 2k without hatdcore grinding)

Forgot the the Leopard 1 was originally part of the Europanzer project with France, Germany and Italy but the disagreements between the ideas bring to the creation of 2 separate tanks (Amx 30 and Leopard 1)

I see everyone complaining about the 2a5 getting lolpenned by the 3OF26 via getting ammunition detonated, when in reality all you have to do is load 16 shells(15 in storage and 1 in the breech) and boom. No more random HE detonating the ammo. Lots of people ignore this which is depressing

There is something about the Leo 2k that ALWAYS resonated well with me. Shapes are just right and the best things about the MBT-70 are here, the great mobility and the 20mm AA cannon. Armor is nothing special but not BAD at all, and yes, mobility is IMH, more important then protection, especially since APFSDS exist. It's just balanced.
Is next gen War Thunder finally going to give us the interior of tanks akin to the cockpits in aviation?

It very much is a viable shell at top tier. On most tanks it is free and we all know how much playing top tier costs and thus playing with a free round is always nice. On most vehicles, especially the ones from update 1.87 you have to aim at the weakspots either way, no matter if you´re using the APFSDS or HEAT-FS.
Yes, APFSDS is better against modern armor and is a lot faster too, but HEATFS has other advantages, like the ability do hullbreak enemies and it does more damage to the enemy tank.
So, a good tanker always takes a handfull of HEAT with him, because he knows the purpose of this round

@@Sebastian-yl7nq And HEAT-FS also detonates on fences, walls and even small bushes, while APFSDS just goes right through.
I also have a lot of bad experiences with HEAT just trollbouncing off stuff that shouldn't bounce anything, while APFSDS is just way more reliable. And ERA is also a thing and just negates HEAT-FS for at least a shot.
APFSDS is more expensive because it is the better and meta shell, case closed.

Can you please fix the sounds for firing the canon and machine gun while scoped in. It sounds very distorted and needs improvement eg. more bass and boom!

They sound pretty much spot on. You're not going to get all that much "boom" and bass from inside the tank. Look up real interior footage of tanks firing.
Major Borngus Fluunduch yes, I’ve seen videos of tanks firing while inside it but i can still hear some boom from the gun firing. The sound from war thunder just sounds too chingy and m1 garandy. I would prefer to hear more boom from the gun while firing and not just a distorted shell and ching sound

Leopard 1 was my favourite tank in the whole game and the most fun to play, that until you added those 8.7 premiums and got it uptiered almost everytime, haven't played it since, you guys make me sick sometimes smh.

@@areyou0k98 you do realize that would change nothing. The game-play will stay the same, Turret impenetrable and hull pen anywhere. where as for the 2A5 it will aim for the turret ring and drivers port.
@@kiranplays2688 with the m1a2 it has depleted uranium in the turret and hull making them have very good armor so the m1a2 would probably if done right have an impenetrable turret and hull but we know gaijin wouldn't do that.

Ferdi had 20k repair cost even tough it was awful and got dominated by anything, so long as the repair cost of any tanks in under 15k, there is nothing to worry about
The Brazilian army has version 1A5BR of this series of armored vehicles called "invincible hunters", I would love to see the other versions of the Leopards series 1 in the game, because soon I will buy the Leopard A1A1 L44 Reinmettal

Don’t have it (currently researching it right now). But from someone who plays top tier (I’m not assuming you don’t, I’m simply clarifying), 2A5 is not “op”.
Your version of “op” is a tank having a reliable trait, that being armor on the turret cheeks. But it can still easily be killed by a shot to the turret ring, a shot to the lower hull, a shot at the corner of the 2A5 (through the tracks then entering through the side), a flank, a heli, a spaa, a jet, a high he round to the cheeks then the shrapnel can go downwards in the driver and hit ammo, and many more.
Not to mention it was already nerfed before it came out. And also, the Soviets were given the DM42 shell. And the Abrams is a great tank but a lot of you “skilled players” get frustrated you can’t pen the measly 10% of a tank, here’s some advice.. Don’t shoot there! Also the Abrams has highly absorbent fuel tanks at the frontal corners which will literally delete any shell that enters the lower corner. They also have smoke emissions, better variety of shells, better machine guns, better mobility, and a better reload speed. But guess what? I ain’t saying it’s “op” want to know why? Because it can be killed! Gasp*
So if you still think a 2A5 is “op” and a AbSouLuTe BEasT maybe you should first try and (what people like to say) git gud.

The British and other countries like that that speak formal English will say leopard, while others will say lepard, it's not wrong it's just the effects of accents and such.

Top tier is an unbalanced mess.
They have plans to redo the top BRs when Tier VII is more populated. One of the moderators (Smin1080p) hinted that at least BR 11.0 will exist, as he mentioned that the AMX-40 at 9.7 would not be facing the T-80U, which it is. He later clarified that the original plan was to have the T-80U at a higher BR but that was scrapped before 1.87, however the next BR changes will change this.

Anyways, the American tree is good. Not the best by any means, but don't act like the french tree is better. Yes it has some gems, but at the end of the day, it just doesn't have as adequate of vehicles. Nonetheless, don't act like there needs to be competition between nations. It's a game, dude.
