I've installed ssd through caddy and when I try to clone drive c... It clone successfully but when I run it show error and if I try to install fresh windows in ssd then my laptop got shut down during installation. Why is it so? Please help me... My laptop is Lenovo g505s. Thank you
I will suggest u to transfer ur laptop data to any storage device, then full format your laptop ssd and hard disk. Then reinstall windows in SSD. Make sure SSD set to first priority in boot menu.
I have inserted the caddy with hdd into to dvd portion. But the hdd is not detected??

My laptop is dell inspirion 3552 series. I have already installed os in ssd and connected it via caddy on CD/dvd slot. My ssd drive is c drive, windows is there. It's opening as well but why can't I see ssd in boot order? All I see is hdd, CD/CD, diskette, USB drive, network. Where is ssd option to enable to boot via ssd
Bro u can see SSD only if u connect it in HDD slot.
and place your HDD in DVD slot.

@@LetsCInside my os is in ssd only. It's booting as well. But I see it uses boot order of hdd drive. Does it mean my ssd is not being used? If I go to disk mgmt, I can see windows files there in ssd, and ssd drive is c:

@@tratotrail no no, actually in boot mode, windows file doesn't get boot and that's why it's not visible.
Once it get boot it shows in dskmgmt option.
so it's better to place the SSD in HDD slot and HDD in DvD slot.
It works perfect & recommended.
Agar CDdrive ki slot mai ssd install Kare, toh boot order mai CD drive select krna chaiye? agar boot order mai ssd nahi dekhaya toh kaise isko fix kare

agr boot priority CD drive hogi to usme lgi disk auto boot detect krelgi.

Space humesha reserve hoga jb bhi partition banega. Chahe vo C drive ho ya D drive. Or jaruri nhi 500mb hi ho. It depends upon the size of total drive.
Pendrive me b space reserve hota hai chahe usme windows drive ho ya na ho. For system purposes.

500GB ka ssd hai, primary drive me lgaunga! Crucial MX500 hai!!

Hey bro, my laptop is IdeaPad 330, it does not have dvd drive. There is a plastic container in it. Is the any different way to like adding pcb in that because the plastic case has proper holes in it. I can share the pictures with you. Please help

I have lenovo b50-80, i tried to install a hdd with caddy. But it's not showing in file manager as well as bios
make sure to install windows in SSD and format the HDD if you're facing problem
otherwise both windows file in both drive will make problem.

And i put HDD on the caddy

bro i will recommend u to put SSD in HDD slot and HDD in DVD rom slot.
but before doing anything, first copy imp data from your HDD to your other computer then plug them like i said and then restart your laptop, go to BIOS change BOOT priority like i did in my video.
and install the windows in SSD, once installation done. transfer your that data to your laptop.
and now all done.
but pls pls watch my video 2-3 time carefully becz i hv mentioned the common errors u might face during the installation.

yes, but it got stuck and hanged, so maine HDD me se windows ko del kiya aur fir SSD me windows install kiya tha.
or han SSD ko hard disk ki jgha install kiya or HDD ko DVD Rom wale port me.

If i remove the HDD and put that in the dvd place by caddy and put the SSD in the the HDD's place, Can the laptop's motherboard be damaged in the long run?
No bro, this is what I did in my video. And I'm using my laptop the same way like SSD in HDD place & HDD on DvD place. And It's all working fine and fast. 😎👍
If any doubt pls watch the video again because I have shown most common error while changing drives.
@@LetsCInside One of the laptop service center said that due to caddy the motherboards are getting damaged and he informed us to use hdd as external drive instead putting it in place of DVD, he mentioned he came multiple instances of this kind of motherboard failure issues.
@@xplore3339 I don't know bro why he said so, but as per my personal experience I haven't seen any problem so far. And SSD is very good option to increase your laptop speed and using HDD as secondary drive to save more data.
Make SSD for windows only and HDD for saving data.
And pls check the caddy size properly before installation.

My laptop optical drive is 9mm, I can only find 9.5 mm and 12.7 mm caddy online? What should I do? Will a 9mm caddy fit in 9.5 mm optical drive bay?
U may give it a try because .5mm can b adjust by removing teflon from the caddy.

This is because SATA port is in priority and you can see that is having generally, low volume label name. Like Volume 1, 2 which is lower that other volume added to the system. So when ur laptop start, it will check for os in the same volume as mention in UEFI. You can aslo change the UEFI entry values from previos volume to current volume and it will work fine too.

Probably Your HDD doesn't fit or loose connection. Apart from that there is no way your HDD do not show
bro i installed the ssd+hdd but after that windows boot is take loong time(never went to login) , windows installed in ssd , my hdd is cleaned one

@@G3DZone okay the try chaging the BOOT priority, but before doing anything, watch the video again, how i did installed the SSD in HDD slot and HDD in DVD slot.

Im using hp notebook and my hdd is not showing up anywhere, i tested the caddy in a other hp but litle older laptop running windows 7 pro and it worked flawlessly and even downloaded driver for the hardisk but my main laptop doesnt even show up in bios let alone anywhere
try update your firmware and BIOS

@@LetsCInside Thank you for the reply. I have already installed the latest update of the Bios and it still doesn't seem to work. Bro the thing is when i start my laptop the drive in the caddy doesnt even work, like it doesn't turn on, but like i said i tried on a different laptop and both the drive and caddy worked without any issues infact the drive was detected and the laptop downloaded the drives for the drive automatically in the first boot itself. But its not working for the main laptop that i bought the caddy and hhd for😭😭. Plz help
Edit: Btw my CD/DVD rom Port is working just fine as i have put back the cd/dvd drive back to my laptop and it starts working like never removed
then try format the derive and change its file system to fat or ntfs and then check if it detects then reinstall the wins in it.@@rageboi2166

If we install SSD in cd drive will there be performance issue
It's recommended to use SSD in direct HDD slot. If u r going to install windows in it.
And it also gives more better performance than CD rom slot.

@@tapanpanda6425 it's only required so that SSD don't move while system is in use, it saves it from shock. Otherwise I can use it without caddy. But make sure to fix it properly or use double sided tape.

To HDD ki windows drive delete krdo nhi to sabse bhadiya HDD ko format krdo then SSD me wins install kro aur use HDD wale slot me lagana and boot me jake priority HDD slot wale ki first kedena.
then HDD ko DVD wale slot me lgana..

uske upper jo Teflon paper laga hai, use nikal do.
and make sure k apne apne laptop k hisab se hi caddy mangaya ho.
kyoki size chote bade aate hain as per the model.

make sure to change the priority bro, keep SSD in first priority
and delete the windows drive from HDD
and install the SDD in HDD slot and HDD in DvD slot.
and watch the video again before doing any step ...
and keep backup data of your imp files.

But don't copy the whole data from HDD, only imp data that's it.
Don't copy any windows drive data.

that's why i did fresh installation after full format.
u can transfer imp data to other system and then perform installation.
Hdd me mera data hai agar me hdd dvd reader me candy ke sath lagata hu to kya mera data safe rahe ga mtlb jo mera data hdd me hai vo dvd reader me lagane ke bad show ho ga sab ya sab data delete ho jayega
data save rahega lkin agr HDD me windows hogi or SDD (with wins) bhi lagate ho to dono clash kr jayengi.
esliye ek me hi windows rhne dena.

hello! i think because of your optical drive whose size is 9.0mm and caddy is 9.5mm it wasn't going smoothly. please check and do reply. I am also thinking of upgrading my lenovo g50-70 (optical drive is 9.0mm), i think i will face the same issue as you faced. Please let me know :)
It's because of the teflon pasted on the caddy. Size is ok. No issues now.

Or u will hv to do google for selecting the desired size of caddy for ur laptop model.
@@LetsCInside that's what the problem is... 9.0mm caddy is not available in the market as well as online. do you think 0.5mm will matter?

But u can do one thing to adjust .9mm is to remove the teflon pasted on the caddy and it will insert smoothly.

There is no problem bro, even i'm also using both SSD & HDD at a same time as i hv shown in my video,
u can use SSD in your hard disk slot and HDD in your DVD slot.
and use SSD for windows and HDD for normal data storage.

@@subrataamc so better to use with SATA only, caddy is only for the purpose to fix the SSD on a place.

Caddy is just to protect the SSD, u can directly install it. Because laptop cover will also protect it.
It depends on the version of your SATA controller, fir instance if your HDD slot has SATA III and your optical drive slot has SATA II, go for the HDD slot as it'll be faster.
You can check the SATA controller speed by HWINFO software.

When ssd installing before, is we prepare our ssd with windows software -like a bootable pen drive
yes bro and once u installed windows in SSD then delete the windows file from HDD otherwise it will clash the both bootable file and would become so slow to start & shut down.
and keep up the SDD in the HDD place and move HDD to the DVD slot as i hv shown in the video. 🙂
kindly watch video 2 to 3 times before doing this process...so that there will be no problem arise while doing this process.

Ek bar apne HDD ka data kisi dusre system me save krlo. Fir windows drive format krdena fir detect ho jaye. Or agr tb b nhi hoti to full format krna hoga.

Bro HDD caddy is used to hold the SSD in optical drive section. So can't store data in it.
It's better to install windows in SSD and save data in HDD. This way you will have 2 drives. One for windows and sec one is for data.

hdd stoarage not showing in file manager
If it has installed windows in hdd then format that drive and try. If still issue is same then u will hv to format it. Better to take backup before doing full format.
My laptop dvd size is 9 mm and 9 mm caddy is not available online where I can find 9 mm caddy?

Pls watch the video carefully again and it's because there is already a windows in hard disk so reset it before saving all data.

@@LetsCInside सब किया था, लेकिन नही हुआ अब मैंने caddy में लगे एक छोटे से बटन को दूसरी तरफ किया और intel power management engine को पावर सेविंग से हटा दिया। बाकी पावर वाले सारे ओशन भी जैसे बताए थे वैसे किये तो अब सही हो गया है। सारी दिक्कत उस engine वाले में थी क्योंकि उसी को सबसे लास्ट में किया तो ठीक हो गया।
