Keep this stuff going Al, far more interesting than a lot of the UK wildcamper/outdoor crowd who immediately rock up in a tent and talk about their beers. The journey, especially in challenging or different conditons is so interesting and educational to watch from your perspective

Hi Bushman and Blue. Trev here... Striding edge in the dark,,, full respect. Absolutely love the videos. Like my lake District walking, but not a wild camper (camp site for me, need everything with me ..too soft for wild camp). Have watched a lot of other people on RUclips, but have to say that you are without a doubt No1. Keep up the good work Alan, and keep smiling. Cheers.

Loving the videos even though you are from the wrong side of the Pennines. I was a mountain leader until 2 years ago but my knees have packed up so can’t do it and it’s great that i can go back up with you and the videos. Funnily enough the last one I did was Helvellyn and Striding Edge with my son, grandson, and Koko the dog. I used to climb down the step but took Koko round the bottom last time. The lamps look great. I always had Petzl ones but they didn’t put a strap over middle of the head and they were forever falling down over my forehead. As Reksaurus says, please keep the videos going.

Striding Edge was my first scramble in the lakes and i didnt know anything about it so will always remember it for that - it was my friend that took me. Was quite challenging on some sections but as i said before i found jacks rake tougher on the exposure as its a cliff face you are on. Looking forward to seeing you do that one btw :) There is a great spot 2/3 way up for a sarnie break overlooking the fell and the tarn at the bottom which is camped at a lot.

Brilliant, I've seen lots of Striding Edge videos, but this is the best. First time I've seen drone footage from the edge too, as a bird would see. Night footage is so awesome, I bought the headband torch, and very happy with it. Thanks to you and Blue. 😀

Great adventure. We have a little light on our dog's harness. Might help on really dark adventures? Blue is a super star! No complainting...good boy x

I actually have a light on his backpack but I’ve never used it. I thought one of those light collars would be good 👍

Another great video, thanks for sharing. I have done Striding Edge in the snow - I don't think that I would do that again. Great walk but I prefer St Sunday Crag - Cofa Pike - Fairfield because it is not so busy. Looking forward to watching your winter adventures. Keep the videos coming.

First things first big congrats in hit the 10K mark. Another great video Al and doing what I love doing and that's night hiking. If that Fenix was around when I purchased my head light I would have got one, however I had to go for a rather nice Lupine, great torch but the batteries are quite expensive. Cant even justify buying one for my backup as I have one of those already. Nothing better that walking a ridge and just seeing the blackness below. Again many thanks for taking us all with you.

Only just started watching you and Blue, my border collie is the twin of blue. Three questions, where did you get blue his waterproof coat, when you have your meal do you feed blue as well and have you done any climbing in the Cairngorms, I did a climb In October and lost my mobile, 2 days later I had a message to my sisters phone to say someone found it. Met him Aviemore to collect it, good people , regards from Leeds xxx

Wow lucky with your phone. No climbing but I’ve run and walked up Ben Macdui and Cairn Gorm. Beautiful area. I don’t have a waterproof coat for Blue but I’m going to make him one I think. He’s got the thickest fur so just needs a thin waterproof layer really. Glad you’ve found my channel👊
