Leaving a Legacy Doesn't Matter

- So many people want to leave a legacy because they think it matters and they fear dying without leaving their mark in the world. It doesn't matter unless you are thinking short term gain from people who invent things or help improve the lives of others.
f you wanna support the channel, do so by kindly sending a Super Thanks 💚
Wanting to be remembered by people who will also disappear is a useless goal
You are 1000% correct. Think about this… You could say this statement every single morning you wake up and it’s true; “100 years from today there will be a whole new set of people on the planet”. Keeping this in mind… No one will remember your legacy. The people that mourn your death will eventually die. Then the people that mourn them will die… And so on and so on. Nothing matters! Get this through your head people nothing matters! Whether this is a real world or a simulation just enjoy yourself while you can and be kind because nothing really matters.
@@lottorabbit Absolutely! That’s how I think now. 💯 👍🏻
💯 agree
You cannot leave a legacy here, everything is constantly dissolving. You might as well try to write a novel in the sands of a desert, or on the surface of the ocean
Well said.
Exactly the case,,,,
All meaning,value,or
Importance,are only contained,
In the individual,which at death,is
Annihilated
You also don't really control what goes into your body because all the food and water is poison and that is what you are left with to eat and drink. We all don't have the options to grow our own food. I totally agree with you about leaving a legacy good video once again. Love the way you think because I think the same way.
Honesty is kindness. It's integrity 😊
Agree. Legacy doesn’t matter to me. We need to be truthful.
I find your videos relaxing and liberating.
So many people are obsessed with leaving a legacy in this world. That is one of the reasons they want to have kids and are desperate if they can not have them. They want that somebody misses them once they pass away. They want that somebody carries on their memories on life. Me, as an antinatalist, I find all these egotistical attemps vain and I want the opposite.
Big apes want to leave a legacy.
You really took the words right out of my mouth bro ....

Such a sick world and people say here's how to be happy What a sad joke
@@colincrisp1592 I find it extremely difficult to be happy. Sometimes I force myself to try but it’s hard. I do like to laugh and smile but that only happens for me with certain comedy and comedians such as George Carlin.
Hey bro! Just wanted to come and say that I’m grateful that my video interested you enough to make a video of your own. I fully respect your views and wish you the best of luck on your journey🙏🏼
Yes it did. I respect your views too and in principle they are not bad ideas but it does not go well with my beliefs and many truths that many people don't want to admit. I wish you the best of luck on your journey as well.
I think I don’t care about legacy simply because I don’t care what anyone thinks. I wish I had this channel 2 years ago when I was going through the peak of my existential crisis
@@Nadyia307 Well better late than never. Thank you for the support. 🙏🏼
Legacy is not that important because the vast majority of people will be forgotten. Unless one become ultra famous or rich you will just be a name on a stone or pile of ashes. Thats it all it amounts to nothing more.
I think you should definitely leave some kind of wealth legacy before having a child, for them to build upon and move forward with in there life instead of making them start from scratch in an unfair world (that the parents should know about at this point). I never look at the world and think "oooh you know what this place needs? another baby! That would be so delightful!"
Or just not even bring the kids to this place in the first place. I also don’t think it’s up to the parent to leave them something. They should be able to be slaves and make their way like the rest of us lol. Sure leaving a little something to kinda get started helps but giving them a lot may turn them into self entitled little brats.
@@RedPillOption That's a good point, I suppose having the right education to act upon is key here! We're just not taught right by the systems of things in control. But now we're here we gotta rise above all this crap!
@@RedHerringMediagood luck with that
Those kids will probably end up as junkies . You assume they will be responsible with the money …

Left Canada as I could no longer handle the cold weather being I am originally from Africa
My life now is about living a simple ordinary life as a minimalist
I’m glad you found value in my content. Living simply and minimalist is my preferred way too.
I agree with this video, however, I see this whole life as a waste of time, if we just become nothing and it is lights out with no afterlife of any kind. I mean what was the point of this if all our memories and thoughts disappear? I would tell the creator(s) if this there is one or any, that it was all a waste of time if we end up as nothing in the end.
Yeah I often wonder about this myself as in what was the point of it all. So dumb if there is no good reason.
@@RedPillOption yeah Nick, if at the end of this life we go back to non existence, assuming we never existed before our current lives, then this whole time here was an utter pointless waste of time. Especially with the fact that this planet is a place mostly of suffering and humiliation for life forms rather than a utopia.
I think it was important and easier to leave a legacy in the past. But now with the information overload legacies are obsolete. Kind of like when there were only like 13 channels on TV. If you ran into anyone on the street in 1988 and asked them if they know who Magnum PI is, probably everyone would have said YES. Now there are 50,000 channels (just a crazy guess...lol) and people often ask me if I watch a show and I have no clue which one they are referring to. When every public school used the same History textbooks, we all knew who the historical figures were and their legacies. Now there are millions of people on social media and chances are most people will have no clue that I even existed in 100 years from now.
True it's an outdated concept now.
We Will be forgotten after a while, worry about legacy is ridículous
I don't care about legacy either. I care about staying true to my values, and then people can think whatever they want.
I basically agree with you and others here. I would choose the red pill over the blue. However there are the legacies of those who have worked and even sacrificed their lives to promote fairness and equality in the world and they HAVE made a difference. Racism and brutality still exist today but not in the free handed way that it used to thanks to all those who have stood against it. Here in the USA the racism that existed 150 years is not the same as today. There are laws that protect that weren’t there before and though you can argue that they’re not effective, you gotta start somewhere. But you can’t legislate people’s hearts and minds.
I agree but fairness and equality does not apply to everyone and it seems like when we get 2 steps ahead we go back 3 steps. None of this evil stuff humans do will ever fully go away and that is the sad reality.
The people we remember who lived the longest time ago are those who massacred entire populations. Which says a lot about this place.
So that's the closest you can get to leaving an impact here. Not that you should try it, IMO.

Nothing matters in the grand scheme of things.
Nothing needs to matter in a grand way to justify alleviating the suffering you’ll experience in your life’s term. Alleviation requires the acquisition of power. Enjoyment requires the acquisition of power.
To live is to require power accumulation.
We all crave it no matter what we tell ourselves.
The rich are brutally honest about it with themselves.
Some Monk, guru, meditation types are honest about it in the realm of internal power.
Personally I do both. Internal & external power
@@adonaiel-rohi2460 Wise and interesting words.
@@RedPillOption something that helps me is challenging what my obligations are.
Obligations are a duty and can’t be forced on someone. They must be consented to.
You don’t actually have a duty to save the world or alleviate other’s pain.
That’s a choice and it’s wise to be selective about who you help and how you do so.
Wisdom would be help those who won’t squander your help, make sure your help is pragmatic not made just on emotion and finally that your help doesn’t leave you vulnerable to dysfunction.
Self sacrifice may as well be called Self Abuse.
That’s not necessary to help people.
The world is suffering, no matter how many people we help, as long as people are born they will suffer and the powers that dominate the world won’t allow for alleviation of widespread unnecessary dysfunction.
They will pushback because it goes against their interests, it’s in their interest for most people to experience unnecessary suffering.
They want the world to be dysfunctional and the only thing that can change that paradigm is a greater power, which requires such incredible work that is outside the range of one person.
Radical Acceptance.
“Radical acceptance.”
If you examine who's remembered the longest it's usually a tyrannical leader or a religious mogul because it's affected the most people. Personally legacy is just personal pride and fear of being forgotten or thought as just another simpleton amongst the countless people that have lived on this planet. Maybe do it for yourself not out of fear, we're taught if one doesn't actualize their potential you fail, no legacy as a result and banished for an eternity in obscurity lol
This is very true.
