What do I use for self-defense at my log cabin camp? How did I make my pack frame? Those are two frequent questions that I get from you guys. This video will answer them.

A waist belt as well as lumbar pad would transfer a lot of the weight off the shoulders and to the hips, it would need to be padded, sit above the hip bones and be tight enough that the pack doesn’t really move around as you walk. It’s worth noting that any belt you tighten enough for a heavy load might pull or bend your actual pack frame so maybe build a whole new frame and test it out so you do not break your one and only frame in the woods.

As amazing as Max's inventions and techniques are, the depth of knowledge behind them is even more amazing to me. Anyone can cut a sapling in hopes of making a pack frame but he knows which species to harvest to make the best one. When you compare that to other "bushcraft" channels you will begin to see how little many of the others actually know. This deeper thinking and deeper knowledge shows in every video on this channel which is why it is so excellent!

As a person who has worked a lot with youth and children I wonder if you would let participate other human beings in your work.
Alas, I wouldn't show anyone your little paradise there, except they have proven worthy over yeras, but still ... .
You transport so much values in your work and you seem to be a very peaceful and conscientious person. Learned and educated as well. It would be a benefit for society if you would impart some of your skills directly and with it your values/ (hypothesized) characteristics.
    God bless.

Thank you for the video, one day, I want to own my own plot of land in the woods!
To improve your pack frame, you could consider making a hip belt. In
well-designed hiking backpacks, hip belts carry most of the load,
offloading your shoulders and making it way more comfortable. Furthermore,
you could consider padding on the contact points with your back to
spread the load even further. Maybe leather cushions filled with sawdust
or straw could do the trick?
Shouldn't you have been an engineer instead of a lawyer?

You can steam bend a piece of wood by simply hanging it over a boiling pot with an aluminium foil wrap around as a steam box. Comes handy with long pieces of wood. If it's available, the casing is easy to build in the backwoods. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Max, I have fallen in love with your channel and projects. Your use of bushcraft and very clever and moderate use of modern technology is so inspiring. Thank you so much from me in USA for your wonderful videos and educational content. It makes me want to join you! Discovering and utilizing the methods of old and doing so thoughtfully and the artistry of applying what you've learned is truly a delight to watch. Thank you again my friend.

Hello Mr Egorov ... Yet once again, I have watched one of your videos with a great deal of admiration. I have to this point in my life not ever seen anyone with such an amazing set of skills. I do not think that you are old enough yet to realize how much more there is to you than other people. The average man has maybe 5 or 10% of your abilities, and your skills, your dedication and resolve only show how much more there is of you than the average man. I have more admiration for you than anyone that I have met in the last 25 or 30 years. It is SO amazing to watch your videos. I am continually astonished by all the marvels that you show us. One of the greatest regrets that I have in my life (I am 67 years old) is that I stand NO chance of ever meeting you personally. I cannot tell you, not with any degree of verisimilitude, how badly I wish I could come to Russia and meet you. You are an astonishing talent, and I hope you realize that. Just that one piece of knowledge will slightly change the way you operate in your life ... and all for the better. Understand that ... believe that ... and take all the advantage of it that you can. You only have ONE chance to walk the path of this life. Use everything your have and everything that you are ... be VERY careful in the woods. It would break the hearts of many people in the world to hear that you had been found dead in the woods because of something so small as a broken leg. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all of the amazing, inventive and instructive material that you provide in these video's. My hat comes off to you and I bow before you in admiration of all that you accomplish.
