Omg how delicious. Thank you for this recipe. I added some garlic powder and spring onion and they turned out fabulous doing a batch for freezer for the coming festive season.
These scones turned out delicious! This recipe comes highly recommended. In order to keep the butter as cold as possible I put in the freezer for a short time and then grated it. I also wrapped the scones in a tea towel as soon as the came out the oven to help retain moisture.
I’m curious why she keeps calling them scones instead of biscuits when that’s obviously what they are. I mean you don’t go to red lobster and get cheddar scones. But 🤷♂️
Scones have been around since the 1500's, originally from Scotland. American biscuits were only invented in the 1800's when raising agents were readily available. Biscuits are a crisp, sweet, flat item in these parts. They are often referred to as a cookie across the pond (USA). 🤷🏼♂️🤣
The "we" I refer to are the people cooking along with me. It is more personal than saying "I" all the time and implies togetherness. I realise this isn't to all tastes but you have the right to ignore my videos. I wish you well whatever your decision.

Can you freeze them
Yes, I would freeze them before you cook them.
Can I cook these in my toaster oven?
Hi, thank you for your question. I’m afraid I’m not familiar with a toaster oven so can’t give you advise on this. So sorry.
Fine
Do I have to use an egg ? Made me hungry..👍👏🏻
Hi Helen. No you don't have to use an egg but I find the texture is better if you do.

🤣
Where are you from? it sounds like your from the North East England 🥰
You have a good ear, I’m from Cumbria.
I am from County Durham x
@@christinemoore7704I am from mars🤪
You didn’t put egg yolk on it.. should we do it?
Hi, thank you for asking. There is no need to put egg yolk on your scones. It is only put on to glaze the scone.
Personal choice - a little milk also adds a light glaze. Also a whole egg.

how much butter
Hi Carol, it would be 3oz of butter or 80g. You could also use plant based spreads, margarine or lard/trex. x
South Australia
Hi Betty. Greetings to South Australia.
I don't use egg I find it makes scones heavy and dense, just my experience........
That's OK. You should give them a try though. These scones are most definitely not dense or heavy but I respect your experience.
You missed three ingredients in your measurements above
Oops, well spotted. I have now added them. Thank you for letting me know.
😋😋😋
Thank you

Who is this "we" to whom you refer? If it's you on your own, then keep your commentary to the singular, please.

very good, only one comment, please take your ring off. a mighty bunch of bacteria are ynder your ring!
Thank you for your observation. I will take it on board. No cases of food poisoning yet as bacteria dies at 120C when cooked for 15 mins.❤
