Very cool little box indeed. Great idea. At first I was wondering how you get true tube saturation from USB bus power, but it does come with a 24W DC power supply.
I don't have a lot of experience with Analogue summing. Mostly because of the cost of the gear, which is still about 5 times the amount of this with cables and everything. But its like you said Dave its more versatile than that routing. It is more expensive than a plugin but still cheaper than a Summing box and everything. I think its cool. Definitely caught my eye Great video man!
Cool box! $899 price tag is a bit much if you ask me. There’s a lot of functionality but if the price was HALF I’d consider. Either way, thanks for the vid!
I am curious are the tubes completely shutting down when you switch them back and forth? If that is true my concern is that the tone would change as they warm and cool down and of course the wear and tear on the tubes. I am still skeptical on the device. Is there a way that you can really see if the tubes are really hooked up and actually doing something to the sound and not for show? I mentioned you can change the colors. Tubes should not be changing colors. I know that sounds crazy asking that question but I had to ask.
The first with tunes but not the first. Elektron Analog Heat is a Analog saturation box that you can do the same thing with but also use in stand alone. They were the first. Ot would be cool to pair these units together.
Yeah seen this unit before, not my cup of tea. The main thing with tubes is that the tubes are not that special on itself, it’s the circuit around them that makes them great or not. This means the circuit design and the components used. I think a great circuit with high quality components and really good transformers will do the job way better. Keep on rocking enjoy the weekend 🤟🏼
Can u buy the Whitestone P331 and do a review on it? Or the Dw fearn VT eq? Nobody has done videos on the pieces and they are the best of the best for the analogue 2bus chain
Your reviews are excellent! Thank you so much!
Glad you like them!
Thank you very much!

Thanks for watching!
Freqtube is how I refer to RUclips content creators... except you David, obviously!! Very Interesting indeed
Well, thank you, I think? LOL
McDsp APB-16 and APB-8 have bank of analog compressors on a rack that communicate through thunderbolt through various plugins
Yep for $4,000 that's true
@@HomeRecordingMadeEasy Yep.. 8 mono or 16 mono. Big difference.. Plus comps etc.. Different value for money... So dont right it off.,....

Fair enough!

The tube do not change colors. The knobs on the unit do.

Analog heat is Distortion - Freqport FT1 is Tube harmonics and saturation. Its is not the same thing… but yes the idea is the same
Thanks!
I think the delay in the pot happens when it’s at a different level than the plugin. It waits until it latches at the same spot so they’re synced
Ok, thanks
I think the Analog Heat from Elektron is the first analog saturation plugin via USB using Overbridge
Ok, thanks!

Then, I guess this product is not for you.
I wish it had the option for physical i/os too!
Maybe in their next version?

So you want me to go spend my own money to do you a youtube video? Let me think about that.....
Can this be put on every channel individually?
No, you are limited to only 4 tubes
Any thoughts on Presonus new subscription model?
No, not really.
Its Always subtle on my master bus
Thanks!
Strange design choice with the layout of the controls on the hardware and the plugin NOT matching.
Ok, Thanks for watching!
MCDSP APB does this.
For $4k lol
Ive been told that but its way more expensive, isn't it?
That’s raw? 😂😂 yeah good 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Mcdsp

A cheaper mcdsp Apb
Cool!
