Dale, I have the same exact laptop. Have a part number for the new charging port?

Great video. Would be super helpful if a PN was included.

Hi. There is a link to a new one in the description. Many sellers on Amazon have it.

Hello! I have an Acer Aspire 3 A314-32-C83Q. Can I use the same model of DC Jack you used in this video for my own laptop? Thank you so much for your response.

Really helpful video, Dale! Thanks for posting this. Do you know if an Acer E5-575G is the same part, disassembly, etc.? I am just not sure if an E5-575 and an E5-575G are the same.

      Does yours have dedicated graphics?

@@CadillacComputerCenter Yes, I believe so - it's got an NVIDIA GeForce 940MX with 2GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM.

Ok. The layout will be different. Opening it up is pretty easy.

@@CadillacComputerCenter Uh oh! I was hoping it would be identical. Your video made it look straightforward. Hoping it’s not more difficult. Thanks for the quick replies.

It should be pretty much identical, the only difference on the dedicated GPU model and the IGP model, is that the GPU part of the motherboard is populated on the dedicated GPU model and they'll be a slightly different cooler to cover the CPU and GPU but for the intents of replacing the DC jack, they are one in the same.

Dale, thank you for making this video . My problem is the Phillip#0 does not seem to take care of the 3 screws at optical bay ( I hope it's right ) after step 1 taking the 1st screw out.
    What should I do?

My acer just stopped charging, after months of the port being touchy and only charging if I put pressure on the jack. Thanks for this.

The screw on the bottom cover nearest the hinge and charging port turns but doesn't back out.. Do I have to drill the screw to be able to open it up?

Hi. Something like that I cant say, without seeing it. You'll need to take it to a repair shop that does micro soldering and can troubleshoot it. I'm sry, dale
