Awww I love this. Just got done grooming my husky and put her fur all along the yard and watch the birds use it as part of their nest creations 😂. The warmest birds in the neighborhood ❤️😎.
My folks live rural and there's occasionally been at least one, but it hangs out more in the wooded area across the way. I walked those woods and it flew off between the trees before I got too close (I hadn't known it was perched there). Incredible catching sight of it, albeit briefly. You're super fortunate, must be a nesting pair even.
You are so correct. For me, the ultimate is to see and hear a Great Horned Owl in the evening on a branch of an old Oak or Maple with a Full Moon behind it --- _on Halloween._ [My birthday]
They must have really great owl parents! Incubated them, fed them, taught them to fly, teaching them to hunt, and showed them a safe place to drink and bathe!
Oh my goodness, they are so adorable! I love how the little one was so tentative about going in the water, then finally got in and splashed around like a champ.
I love bird baths. I had two out in my yard and filled them every morning. One year a large blue jay discovered them and commandeered one for his morning dip. He'd chase any other bird away and flop into the bowl for a long bath. I swear he was practicing for a Channel swim. He had an excellent backstroke that he worked on until all the water was gone from that bowl. Then he shook his wings and flew away. I went out and refilled the bowl. This lasted all summer long.
@@dulcilass there seems to be a problem with alges, even when we change water daily. @@shadowhund Fortunately I never had problems with algae in my birdbaths. I changed the water daily. Since the bowls were very easy to clean they got scrubbed regularly. No algae but but the birds sat along the rims and frequently left deposits there.

They're beautiful! The fact that these little owlettes' baths were recorded on a "Wyze" camera is an added bonus! 😊 Thank you for sharing this great video with us. 💕💕🦉🦉
This was so cute! When their little tail feathers turned on the solar lights, it was so funny and tgey seem to do it on purpose. Beautiful little creatures.💖
That was wonderful to watch. At first l thought the adult was the chick because of how fluffy it was. Loved listening to their cute noises and seeing how at home they were in your yard. Even hanging out on the ground.
That is the sweetest most precious thing ever 💖. You must have a couple of owl nests in the trees 🌲. They feel very safe and really enjoy getting a bath 🛁. Thanks for keeping the water clean ☺️. This video really cheered me up. I am a total animal lover 🪶🩷. 👍☮️🌞💟
Precious babies. Animals are our brothers and sisters, and we were supposed to be their stewards, not the bane of their existence as we have been. Time to turn the franchise around and make them the stars of the show again.
If you’re talking about the ones in the bath, I *think* the first one was a parent. Since these owlets are out of the nest and flying around, they’d be close to the same size as a full grown adult. And the first one seems a bit larger and looks to have less downy feathers. The second one still looks very fluffy. Sure, an argument can be made that the first is an elder sibling as there can be a significant difference between siblings due to the way the eggs are laid and how they are fed (eldest usually eats the most), but I’m still guessing that’s the parent. [edit: nvm~! i was informed otherwise.]
@@MegascopsManorsOwlHouses orly?? i don't know enough about bird species to know what to look for, but i am aware that many have very distinct colourations and patterns that are present on adults which can be key identifying factors, so that makes sense. i guess the first owlet is an older sibling then. thanks a bunch for letting me know!

I remember the year we had a nest of screech owls in our back woods. They make this really cool sound at night, different from the traditional hooting owls are associated with. But I'll never forget the night I went back in the woods, and something swooped down at my head. I went back with a flashlight, and there was a screech owl looking down at me from the trees! They must have had a nest up there, and she was flying down to protect her babies! After that, I'd go back to check on them every evening and she'd always fly down near me, staring at me from the trees. It was cool hearing their song all summer that year.
They are lovely ❤How lucky to see them so close and thank you for sharing . Too cute how after bath goes right back under the tree to dirt 😂 🤗 Don’t forget your wing pits lil one 🛀
how lovely to see. It seemed there was a bird flying overhead that was causing Mum some concern, always on the look out. I couldn't help laughing when one of the owlets sat on the sun-powered lamp and caused it to switch on. It seemed from the footage that another owlet tried to provoke the same result when it sat on another one in the background but didn't quite manage it until the moment it opened its wings to flutter away. Nice also to watch the young one pondering by the side of the bath and watching its Mum to figure out what to do, then gathering its courage and finally enjoying the experience. Great video, thanks for sharing.

What a great video! I love owls, you are so lucky to get to see them this close! Years ago, on Christmas day, my friend had a Screech owl roost on a recess over the front door of his home.
