I guess it's the nature of BTD6, but it's a shame when you have no influence over your opponent's score in a head to head, unlucky. Anyways stay tuned for potentially more

Hi Isab
hi isab
hi Isab
Tbf the selling bug trivializes the hell out of that last challenge since with it anyone could easily get the perfect score
Yeah, I reaaaally disliked allowing that. It effectively turned this unique diverse challenge into a "find the puzzle solution" custom challenge. Huge L on the team for allowing it, or any bug for that matter.
And the only people that can't get it, are people like me who either can't do it, don't know how to do it, or both. So yeah... I honestly think that's BS and it should be no glitches period in a tourney.
Yeah, the mods originally didn’t allow it then changed the bot code halfway through to allow it and people didn’t figure it out
seriously, how the fuck was that allowed? that 100% trivializers the challenge, MEGA cringe by the contest hosts
@@magicmeatball4013that’s just stupid. They basically just killed their tournament by allowing that. No legit tournament would ever allow this in any given situation and under any given reason.
I don't agree with the max score in the second challenge: they said in the first one that bugs are allowed if they don't trivialize the challenge....anyhow in our eyes ISAB is the goat :)
yeah it just turns it into least cash challenge. Pretty lame
@@superdog3293 especially since like, it removes skill from the round almost entirely. It seems like everyone who topped the round was just aware of the glitch, like a shitty challenge editor "*insert RUclipsr here* can't beat this!" Type challenge. If I had been in the tournament I probably would've just quit at that point, really kills any hype for the future rounds.
While it wasnt a bug, yeah, it still really trivialized it and made it a completely different strategy to get top score. Very annoying.
@@yaboyender6596 it was a bug. selling was against the challenge isab said it himself the ability to sell there was a bug
@@Translucent_YN The towers are never sold by the player directly. They use the Total Transformation ability to transform the ice monkey, which removes the ice platform temporarily. Removing an ice platform sells any towers on that platform. Its an intended mechanic that circumvents selling in no sell modes.
"Bugs are allowed as long as they don't trivialize challenges"
*proceeds to allow bug that trivializes challenges*
Damn, they missed the chance of being the greatest BTD6 event ever by allowing that bug... The challenges were so good and creative, its a shame they fucked up that hard even though the rules would clearly disqualify the bug.
ikr, they went through all the effort of making creative challenges just to allow players to cheese it 😂
@@magnusculley6817 apparently the "solution" was what the runners intended, the own tournament runners broke their own ruleset....
it wasnt a bug. it was intentional. but its still bs that it was allowed
@@HarryWizard It wasn't a bug though technically
Seems a little stupid for a glitch like that to be legal since it absolutely trivializes the challenge, just kinda boring to find out the round was decided entirely off a technicality. Oh well
Ong removes all the chance of strategy
they even had it not give max score for all 0 at first but then they allowed the total pops to not equal 811566 and knowing the bug was the best strat, changed the bot to make it give a perfect score if u got a total of 0 pops despite the formula making it divide by 0
This removed most the skill and all creativity from the challenge. Not only that they lied about the formula or changed it and lied about not allowing bugs trivializing it
Makes zero sense whatsoever why they did this.
@@Name-ru1kt it was a really really interesting challenge too, like the most creative concept for a round they could've done probably. And then they threw it in the trash for a stupid meme win
I would love to know if they considered that "glitch that trivializes challenge" rule on that second one. And if they did, how the fuck they didn't think that it didn't trivialized the challenge.
Clearly they didn't think it did, because they gave first place to a tie breaker between 2 people that used the glitch. My guess is that because only 2 of the entire bracket used it, then it didn't "trivialize" the challenge, but we all know it did.
Edit: yes, I get it, it was more than 2. I just happened to only catch the tie breaker part because I was busy at the time I watched this video. You can stop correcting me.
and not just that but the fact that originally they had it not give max score knowing that it requires dividing by 0, then knowing the all 0s would be the best strat were it to be a way to get max score (as having equal pops on all towers with any other number of pops would) they overrided the division by 0 error by making the result that they knew could only be achieved with a bug give the best possible score...
@@cq4538r isab said that the top 13 all used that glitch ... and on top of that the communication about top score being possible giving a crazy advantage to players who just happened to see the post
@@cq4538r 13 people used it..not only 2.13 people is what, 25% of the players? thats a pretty huge issue.
@@cq4538r not just 2
Great video as always.
But wow the tournament organizers are truly disappointing on that one... Stating that bugs that trivialize challenges are banned, just to allow one that literally trivializes the last challenge...
Like seriously, a player using a clever strategy to get almost a perfect score the normal way will *always* lose to somebody simply using the glitch.
This feels like robbery...
and in the score screen you can see that happen some person was about 1k pops away from perfect score with what im going to assume is an amazing strategy but lost to a dude with perfect score using the glitch. :/
tournament organizers: "no bugs that trivialize the challenge"
the guy who beat isab: uses a bug that trivializes the challenge
also that guy: trash-talks isab for not using the bug
Imagine trash talking in a Bloons tournament of all things... What a piece of work.
GoodestGoatshit lol
I mean it was probably just fun trash talking
I interpreted it as playful trash-talking
@@00Dragondude he was doing it for fun calm tf down
I feel like that glitch trivialized the challange, and wasnt that against the rules
only against the rules for the first round ig
Kinda sad that you got eliminated because other people abused a bug that made the challenge extremely easy, but good luck in the second bracket, hope you can still win 💪
I'd be livid if I spent the only time I could on a challenge in a fan tourney actually trying and getting a solid score, only to be beaten out by someone who effectively cheated. That's BS all the way and shouldn't be a viable outcome. It may also be a reason behind the "NO STRAT SHARING" rule cause then that entire bracket would've had 100% of the contestants getting the max score. At which point, like others have said, turns it into a "least cash" challenge which means spam the crap out of dart monkeys at the end. Where does it go from there? Cause now everyone has the same least cash and same max score, who is the winner?
unfortunately he will face gumball (someone that was predicted to make it very far in the tournament but lost in round 1 due to little time to play, got second best score in round 2) in the losers bracket rather early so one of them will have to go out pretty early on
He cheated too with perma brew
@@MikeOxtinks that's not a cheat, as it wasn't banned or explicitly mentioned not to be used unless i missed something. Perma brew is just strong af

Luv how that guy talked smack after winning using a bug, but good luck in the rest of the tournament
wonder how well he would do if he was given a total of 4 hours to beat the challenge and no bugs to use lmao
I'm pretty sure the opponent was joking. Just some competitive banter imo, not nice but not really bad imo
@@genieinthepot2455 Yeah he got the whole squad laughing with that joke 🗿🗿🗿🗿
They really shouldn't allow glitches in the tournament.
I guess they count the "speed of recieving information of glitches" as part of the capability of a "well-rounded btd6 player"
they do if its recreatable and doesnt trivialise the challenge altho i think it trivialises
originally the bot used to calculate scores didn't even give a value for all 0s, as mathematically it leads to dividing by 0, but for some reason they (knowing all 0 is possible) decided to make it give max score because 0 standard deviation despite the mean also being 0 and knowingly allow the bug to be the best strat
@@ThatOneGentlemn The problem with allowing ANY glitches and deciding what is Trivial,,,is that someone must decide whats trivial and whats not. clearly here many of us disagree with their decision. ban all glitches and no decisions need made.
@@Lawrence_Zhou coding the bot to score properly does not mean they Knowingly allowed a bug to produce the best score. it just means they didn't want the bot to crash if a possibility became true (any good coder would fix this bug)
Did none of the organisers think that allowing a bug that completely ruins the point of a challenge should be allowed?
shouldve just allowed selling at that point and made it a least cash challenge :/
Going by the rules, it's a bug that trivializes the challenge and shouldn't be allowed. Only issue with that wording is that it's purely up to interpretation. Personally think that a bug that allows multiple people to hit a perfect score puts it into the "trivializes the challenge" designation.
Best method would have been adding the total pops as part of the algorithm. It's harder to balance out more pops, so you should be rewarded a higher score.
@@Terirth Any time a competition of THAT size has a "perfect score" that is feasible for a human- it should be banned. This is about being better than the given opponent so being told "both of you will tie or lose and everybody is gonna do the same thing" is just unfun. Because of this I'd just say no bugs.
@@KatherynneF Bugs can make things interesting, so an outright ban may not be right.
Calculate max potential pops then do "score*(totalPops/maxPotential)". Allows the use of a selling bug, but hurts your score. Getting 0 total results in a score of 0.
Imagine if everyone saw the post and everyone just said fuck it, let’s do it with dart monkeys then no one wins
They fucked themselves over from the get go by leaving things up to interpretation in the rules
When im in the completely trivialized challenge competition and my opponent is the bugged second round challenge 😳
Seems like the tourney organizers really wanted to make a "find the funni bug/exploit" challenge even though they didn't want trivializing bugs to impact other challenges... I hope.
If that’s the case that’s fucking sadistic
The biggest problem with challenge 2 imo is that they provide the python code responsible for calculating the score which shouldn't even output a valid number if the input pop list is all zero. It operates 0/0 which is undefined. Yet, their score bot accept all zero input. They should have include/mention this in the python script they provided.
The start of that challenge actually didn't let people use the glitch. It calculated their score as zero until people who used it said it should work, in which they changed the code to allow it and make it calculate it, all without telling people btw
In that last challenge the dude fr took the max score cheese then acted like he was hot shit for it 💀
Meanwhile ISAB got close to max score while playing fair and legitimately
Bruh. The tournament was supposed to show who’s the better player but that 0 pops selling cheese shit defies that premise entirely.
They consider bug finding and using to be a skillful expression of Bloons knowledge
@@GameGuy667 The Tournament rules state that they don't allow bug that trivializes the game. That bug was just
do whatever, set up bug and then boom perfect score.
I know everyone else has said it, but consistency is very important when comes to applying rules. These organizers are being very inconsistent for the fact they are allowing a glitched max score. All of the people who used that glitch should be required to do it legit or get disqualified and give the win to their opponent who did it legit. Allowing this perfect score to count completely destroys any legitimacy this tournament has. Now no one will take it seriously going forward after seeing a rule get applied so loosely and inconsistently. If I were apart of this tournament and this happened to me, I’d withdraw from the tournament and never take part in a tournament ran by these particular organizers ever again, infact I’d make sure to put them on blast for it. Seeing as they can’t be trusted.
I wish I could like this multiple times. I couldn't agree more. The tournament was *supposed* to be a test of skill, not testing whether people know one exact bug that's hardly even useful outside of the super-specific context of turning this interesting challenge into a boring least cash challenge. Not to mention that they said in the qualifier that bugs would only be allowed if they didn't trivialize the challenge, only to turn around and say that *their intended solution to round 2 was to use a bug that trivializes the challenge.*
So basically the rules said "no glitches that ruin the challenge" and then proceeded to round 2 an got dementia. What an awful and dumb ruling to rip the fun out of legit players 😐

Did the second round also have the same "bugs are allowed as long as they dont trivialize the challenge" as the first round? because the 2nd round basically just turned into a least cash spent challenge because of that bug and thats just completley unfair imo
the solution was not at all trivial which was why it was allowed. Not a TO but the contestants once they knew max score was possible and an accepted score would obviously try to go for it
@@aero4810 "trivialize the challenge" doesn't refer to how difficult the glitch is or isn't, it refers to how the glitch impact the goal of the challenge.
Considering how 13 people use it and they had to be tiebreak with least amount of cash, it fair to say that the glitch trivialize the challenge
@@JK7H that is fair. Personally, even as someone who got max score I don't think it was fair for the TOs to allow them to submit it but you can't fault the contestants for going for the score if they know its a score to submit. Still, its just the first ever tournament and mistakes happen, and I feel like not just isab but a lot of people got hard done by this round though
@@aero4810 oh no it's absolutley not the contestant fault, they are competing and getting the max points is the best way to go
Yeah, the bug did make this challenge a meme tbh. I feel bad for the people eliminated by it but not for the elimination itself but rather the amount of hours put into perfecting a solution just to get beat by a last second bug that gives perfect score.
"Outside" is basically an true expert map on CHIMPS
I heard there's a special secret on that map where if the player touches grass, it instantly spawns the hardest boss in the game (so far) Hyper Realistic Hot Air Balloon!
This tournament started off with a really cool qualifying round and instantly became a huge dissapointment the moment it actually started
In 37.0 update, the impoppable price is bugged and all prices are 30% more expensive instead of 20% (with no MK). So will be interesting to make a challenge based on this bug.
The format for this is questionable imo. There is no point in doing a bracket when you can't influence your opponent whatsoever, it brings so much matchup luck into the equation
RIP ISAB. Victimized by the old Total Transformation glitch. Does this kick off his anime training/redemption arc?
Well that annoys me. ISAB is clearly one of the best players in the game, and he lost to a glitch that directly breaks the rules stated previously in the tournament. What's more, our guy ISAB didn't even have a chance to try and make that happen due to bad luck with his real life. That just annoys me, because ISAB should clearly be moving forward.
Keep in mind it was quite likely that ISAB would still lose to his opponent if they did not abuse the glitch, as they were really good.
But yeah... this is unfair competition.
@@TheOrange3Juice we can’t know that for certain maybe if we knew his opponents highest real score then we could know if he’d lose but 15k is pretty high
ISAB is a good player, but there are other good players aswell. he has no divine right to move forward. I would agree that the ruling in round 2 was a weird descition considering the rules. However we don't know the score ISABs oppnent would have set before or if not using the glitch, he was 5th on the first round so clearly a good player. Also "real life stuff" is a bad argument cause the whole tourny can't just wait for 1 player to be ready to dedicate time, it was set a that time and if you can't play thats unfortunate but not an excuse. In a double elim breacket he will have a chance to win still, but it's about beeing lucky with matchups and challanges aswell a skill. The winner of everything WILL be the best player overall.
I feel like a bug that allows the users to brake the rules of the challenge shouldn’t be allowed… though ISAB had as little control of this as the rest of us and ISAB is a nice enough guy to not make a fuss to the organizers
I'm gonna be honest, the fact that the bug was allowed for round 2 is just straight up bs. It totally trivializes the challenge and makes it more a test of reflex than skill
Balancing towers is such an original idea and this was the perfect time to showcase it. The fact that people that completely ignored the premise got to win over thoses who used pure strategy and macro skill is just unacceptable. And I'm not just saying that because you lost, it's just bad tbh...
This tournament has good ideas but that's just dumb.
Of course no offense to the moderation team behind the tournament, it's hard to judge that sort of stuff and I'm glad events like this exists.
Literal definition of trivializing in that second round. No matter what you do to win if you execute the glitch your score is perfect.
Ah yes, it totally makes sense that instead of using skill to try and get close to the highest score possible for the second round, you receive information from one of your friends about a BUG that sells towers in a no-sell gamemode to easily get the perfect score.
What a fair tournament :)
The first round was actually interesting, the second killed all my interest by making the winning factor not a test of skill, but a bug that you would think falls under the term “trivializes the challenge” to obtain a perfect score. Why they didn’t include the actual pop value stacked up by the towers bewilders me; if you have 0 pops you should’ve have 0 score.
The code originally ran like that. The tourney runners changed the code in secret halfway through to include the bug purposefully
That last round was really cool in its idea but I would love to know how that isn’t considered trivializing the challenge bc that seems way too easy to get a perfect score
So excited to see this play out. GOOD LUCK ISAB
I would 100% watch a video of you trying the tourney challenges even if you are eliminated
That last bug completely trivializes the challenge and i have no idea why the challenge mods accepted that. You deserved it many times over
isab really just said ggs and walked away, i love this guy :)
This is a really fun idea! If you hadn't thought of it yet, it would be interesting if you hosted a challenge like this for content for your channel. I think having you explain your ideas behind the challenges + showing off top solutions to them would be really enjoyable to watch.
I don't usually leave comments, but I want to show my discontent with the event by allowing glitched submissions that practically avoid the idea of the challenge. The tie-breaker being the least cash modifier almost seems like a last minute "wait, what we do now?" solution. Hopefully, as others mentioned, next iterations of the event have more clear rules on what is and isn't allowed...
Pretty sure that second challenge was being trivialized...???
im loving the tournament content. Hope more of theese torneys will be made
Awesome stuff. Great work. Best of luck. We’re cheering for you and I hope you do well!
These are the most interesting challenges I’ve seen would love to see u play all of them even if u get eliminated
if they allow that on the second round its a waste of time continue playing the tournament
The ice tower bug on the second round is just so cheesy and I was hooked to the tournament until that happened, so much potential for cool strategies
17:09 just wanna say I love this way of thinking and it is great to see that others think this way
11:22 "970,000 lives lost"
impressive.
19:17 Maybe you could have hidden just a small fraction of the elite sniper's view using the bushes so that some pops realy in the round go to other towers that were lagging behind like Sauda maybe? Just a thought
“I really need to be punishing sauda for this” has me cracking up😂😂 22:38
Man really abused a glitch/bug that should've been illegal and then said ez and saying their opponent sucks for not abusing a bug. Truly peaked as a human being lol
He’s pretty clearly just messing around I don’t think it’s good competitive banter but it is competitive banter
Thank you isab for tournamenting
Been waiting for this😍😍
This feels like a trivialize
Big yikes for the tournament organizers not only did they suddenly allow a glitch that trivializes the heck out of the challenge (very good job my guy you can sell a tower, challenging.....) No they also went ahead and spoiled the score of someone early. Great at following their own rules, absurd to see the "biggest btd6 tournament" be led by people like this.... Again, yikes
The organisers have probably received suggestions on this already but I'll give some anyways. Sorry if this is annoying.
Maybe something like redoing the round or making the bug illegal and for those players who did use the bug maybe giving them another chance or considering their best legit score. Or maybe having a mechanism with which the losing players can come back?(like some top players of losers bracket get put back in the tournament)
Either way great tournament. You guys know best. Do what you will. You have our support. Hoping for more such events. Don't let toxic people affect you or the tournament.
Wow gg hope you win the tournament isab
Yeah I mean, that bug clearly trivialized that challenge, and your opponent CLEARLY bagged in the qualifier to get a super low seed. U got robbed lol.
I love the challenges of the event. I feel like it would have been more fair to keep top half qualifying over an arbitrary 1v1. The 2nd challenge felt like the fun/skill was taken out of it by allowing for a zero pop top score. Personally, trying to get all towers to 81k is more interesting than 0. Glad you are still having fun hopefully as I assume the end was ironic BM.
As fun as double elim sounds, this just isn’t the place for it, agreed. In the first challenge, I’m pretty sure someone won with like 25k lives left, while multiple 900k+ got eliminated. I’m sure the second round has similar terrible results like that.
To reward better placement, they could do a cumulative score across rounds, or a high placement bonus. Like first place gets an extra 1k points for the last challenge in the vid, 2nd 750, etc. for top 10 in previous rounds.
Truly a humble opponent, what a gentleman
Rip, ruling on that glitch did you dirty. This is what I was talking about the last time, though; good effort. Hang in there.
For some reason i could hear the pain in ISABs voice at the end...it's sad that you got out because of a bug....and then this message from your opponent makes it even worse...but you tryed your best
dang bro im so hype for this good luck bruh
