To be honest on the topic of the bug in the previous round I'm not mad at all that Isab lost I just kinda feel like the bug robbed the spirit of the challenge. Was looking forward to seeing how crazy some people are at managing their towers and that bug just made it not fun at all. The whole round feels cheap because of it, could just be me tho.

But really, they can only use what they're given, so the tourney organizer dropped the ball to allow it. I hold no contempt except for the little bit towards the tourney blokes, do better.
Yeah, I LOVE these challenges they came up with. I'm still a bit annoyed that the bug last time was allowed (I like using bugs on these challenges, but that one felt wrong), but I just hope they do it better in the future, cause these are fun and i want more

@@uniquepotatoes Bugs you get from just using the tower are fine, since you can't really avoid them. Bugs that require a setup and precise stuff (like the one from round 2) shouldn't be.
The challenges of the tournament have been top tier imo. What has been disappointing is the 1) formatting: creating a 1v1 bracket doesn't make much sense for this type of tournament, I think halving the players each round like the qualifying tournament was a better format. 2) The balancing bug going against the spirit of the challenge. I don't mind that ISAB lost. It is how he lost (losing despite being in the top half of the bracket and to a 'perfect' score that made microing the tower pops, which was the point of the challenge, irrelevant) Still, great content and I would love to see this as a regular thing
I may be wrong, but I feel like allowing the bug in the last challenge was such a let down that I personally would have stopped playing if I was in the tournament (having won against someone who didnt use it or losing). Now this is just gonna be a hunt to find the most exploitable bugs bc most of the times they can beat even the best of players (literally why cheaters arent allowed in any games, evem pros have a hard time going against them)
That last round bug was bogus, shouldn’t have been able to count that. Would have been awesome to see the top players management and strats rather than some trivial bug timing
I still think that they shouldn't have aloud the glitch because it indeed made it trivial when you did executed it. In fact to such a degree that they had more than just a 4 way tie. Under normal circumstances anything more than a 4 way tie would have been neer impossible to happen, however once someone pulles of the glitch it a guaranteed a win at that point. Basically taking out the competitive ness.
6:27 the biggest problem isn’t the bug, is the score formula that that wasn’t good enough and aloud thinks like this. (That’s only a opinion/suggestion)
Tried this challenge after watching your vid. My cleaneast run was 10 towers with no bugs. Only copied your strat for maps 1 and 2...it was harder than it seems, according to the stats, only 85 wins out of 1600+ tries :(
The whole controversy reminds me of the body-building scene where everyone silently knows that taking dubious anabolics is bad. But as soon as one guy takes some everyone else also has to take them (to have a chance at competitions). And here it's the same. One (or 13) guys use a bug once and now everyone has to pull their knowledge out of the hat.
the problem with a top score being possible with a bug isnt that the bug make it seemingly unfair, its that it kills the point of it being a challenge. youre ment to try to do better than your opponent and if you know the bug but your opponent doesnt there is no challenge, you just win by default

I think it shows how much the participants enjoyed the bug last round that 80% of them dropped out. Shame because the challenges are pretty cool. Feels like that particular exploit spoiled the whole tournament.
A couple people asked me if I was doing this tournament, but I knew for sure I just didn't have the time to commit to it for as long as it is. I suspect a lot of the players who entered are discovering they also can't commit the amount of time required, but assumed they'd be able to when they entered. That's probably quite a few of the people that didn't submit. Of course, some of them probably just straight up couldn't beat this challenge, as well.
13 people that knew about it managed it, or judged it reasonable to use, i still think all of them should be disqalified or at least retry with limited time

Yeah, sorry Isab, I'm not upset about last round simply because you lost. I'm upset over last round because they allowed an exploit that defeated the spirit of the challenge, thereby going against the precedent they had established in the first round, and that the bug locked any player who wanted to win into a single strategy, thereby defeating the purpose of the entire tournament. It's like going to a chess tournament, hoping to give a good showing at least, and learn something from the masters there, and instead find out you lost your game before you sat down because the other player bribed the judge to make your time zero. Like, what? I lost any and all respect for the tournament hosts and the judges because of it, and if it isn't addressed, I doubt I'll ever have any interest in any future tournaments. I simply do not care about it if they are completely without ethics. So, the tl;dr is: I'm not mad for you. I'm simply disgusted by the performance of the judges of that tournament.

Man I can't imagine how much of a bummer it must've been to spend so much time and effort on this round only to see in the end that it was all for nothing and you would've advanced anyway if you used all of your towers. Don't get me wrong, they're still fun to watch and probably fun to play, but it's really disappointing that the only round with any sort of competitive spirit has been the seeding round. Second one was kinda lame with the bug that cheesed the entire thing, and in this one there was just no competition. Hopefully the next round is actually competitive.
ngl watching these in succession and round 2 still got me salty, their own rules literally said "No bug that trivializes the challenge" annnnnnnndd they allow a bunch of people to abuse a bug that does just that, barely any skill just hit 1 skill at the perfect time and boom perfect score.... still such a dumb move from an otherwise amazing tourney idea hope they do another one with actual follow-through on rules...

You think it could be because of the Bottom Path Glue somehow messing with Stuns? Since bottom Glue, has some sort of Stun on Pop etc and this being sneaked into the glue strike taking on that behavior. Just throwing some theories.
Yeah, I think most people are like me, we're not explicitly mad you lost because of the round 2 exploit, we're mad they allowed it in the first place. It went against their own rules and the spirit of the challenge and shows inconsistency in their own decisions, making them unreliable organizers.
I think the Bug this time around probably has something to do with the piercing Moab Elim buff, instead of applying to just Moabs, it applies it to everything, or something
I've also run into a bug that stacks the 1st strike and pre-emptive strike's abilities into one, which makes them sometimes not be able to fire. kinda useless and annoying tbh
On the topic of the last round bug, I liked the bug, it was very clever. It felt like the intended solution to me, almost. I do agree with you on the organizers sharing it being possible to get a perfect score, though, they shouldn’t have. It made knowing about the bug almost crucial to guarantee a win.
It literally made the point of the challenge irrelevant though....its so stupid. Like the challenge was about making each tower have as close to each other in pop count as possible, allowing people to use a bug to get every tower back down to 0 and give them a perfect score is SUPER boring and made people who did well in the actual challenge (like isab) lose because they didnt do a bug that ruined the whole point of the challenge.
@@KobeKeats idk finding a way to get rid of damage dealers with selling disabled so the remaining towers have no pops is doing exactly what the challenge was; managing towers and their pop counts. As for boring, I agree, the fact that 13 people did it made the challenge boring, which is why I think the organizers shouldn’t have shared it was possible to get a perfect score.

No. The strat last round made the whole rounds actual theme completely pointless, that's why people are mad. It was a challenge about balancing effectiveness of towers and microung surely? Mix maxing, buying at the right time, spreading things out. How is getting all the kills on one/two powers then selling them an acceptable or interesting solution!? It's the exact fugging opposite!!! It's frankly baffling they allowed it or didn't rerun the round completely after it was noted. What a joke. You should be hell mad, not for losing, but for the principle 💢💢💢
ISAB has had some bad draws in this tournament. Next he is against gumball. ISAB is good enough that he can upset Gumball, but that would be a big upset.
i think most people just gave up in the losers bracket and quit but some people (like me) didnt have time to finish the odyssey in time for the deadline

Involving bugs in a tournament is pretty dumb and extremely unbalanced. The whole point of bugs is very little people know about them. I get the feeling the winners of this tourny will be whoever knows the most bugs. Sounds cheesy amd lame.

The bug is actualy insane with glue solver since it reapplies the glue to ceramics, so the solver is just a touch of death for moabs

It effects all status combos not just those with glue so it cant be glues fault. Isab shows it working with ice and brickel stun in the last map
The bug from the MM ability is started on 32.0 or 36.2 exept for bloons for bloons is started on 37.0 update.

The bugs made super mines incredibly strong for this update, Island 5 was possible with just super mines and jungle drums buff

It was a challenge about balancing effectiveness of towers and microung surely? Mix maxing, buying at the right time, spreading things out.
How is getting all the kills on one/two powers then selling them an acceptable or interesting solution!? It's the exact fugging opposite!!! It's frankly baffling they allowed it or didn't rerun the round completely after it was noted. What a joke.

ISAB has had some bad draws in this tournament. Next he is against gumball. ISAB is good enough that he can upset Gumball, but that would be a big upset.

I think most of the people here are more mad about the person you lost to.
Involving bugs in a tournament is pretty dumb and extremely unbalanced. The whole point of bugs is very little people know about them.
I get the feeling the winners of this tourny will be whoever knows the most bugs. Sounds cheesy amd lame.
