The thing which makes Zackray's Pit goated is his ability to apply such an insane pressure in advantage. Most of his conversions are strings or not guaranteed combos, but he fully makes use of Pit's good framedata to extend his advantage to the fullest.
I play pit from time to time and I swear Zackray’s up-tilts have less lag than a normal player’s. I can never seem to confirm into up air even at low percents

In other words IDJ not only is it's apex lower than a full hop, but it also rises slower. This is especially true because pit is a multijumper so his dj is one of the worst ones in the game because he has 3 of them.
Pit's air speed is low and nair is small (the blade visual only matches with the size of the hitbox on the last hit, the one that launches). It's a different tool for Pit, but, naw it's really hard to justify it as better than Palu's nair.
Pits is better for oos, hits lower and faster. Pits is safer when you auto cancel it (-7). Pit has better dd setups. The main thing it sucks at is beating out other moves. Im not gonna tell you that its better than palus, just wanted to give more info since i play pit.

That's... exactly how it's been. Just because top tiers exist, doesn't mean you SHOULD main one. My best character is Corrin, who people preach is low mid tier. I've seen some top players struggle against my Corrin at a local, and I've seen other great players main Corrin and get great results. Tier lists should NEVER be the deciding factor in who you main. I feel the most comfortable with Corrin and I love playing him, so naturally I want to develop him a ton. I can say the same about Marth (my secondary now).
Leo’s aegis getting him 9th perfectly exemplifies your point. If top tier dlc were carrying players then everyone would be required to pick them up regardless whether your comfortable or not

The very fact that Leo is winning Majors numerous time with him is indicative of the character being capable of doing so.
Wifi move basically. Sure it can kill, but if it gets shielded you're getting hard punished for it, it's an extremely rare mixup but i see nothing wrong in not using it at all
