The Fighters module can be useful for dogfights, because it increases speed, which means your fighters will receive much less damage while being chased by enemy fighters before the actual dogfight.
@@deathfromabove432 What do you use on Graf Zeppelin? Graf has a problem with the hangar size, so should the fighters enhancement be replaced with a hangar extension or not?
Every time, I see your CV gameplay, I want to take more time to play with this ship. I remember at my beginning with the Indomitable (the friendly begginer cv for a player a little experimented) I use my fighters to scout a little, or a bomber squadron, but not try to manage it for interception and to try to make one fight with the AA of my fleet. When I'm gonna to died, if the red CV is still alive, I like to fix my fighters on a friendly BB or cruiser of a good player. I'm died but I continue to make a aerial cover.
Shawn, long time no hear! I was about to send you this one, I thought you might be interested. I'll stick to a weekly delivery, 2/week is too much with work and family, especially for those that take a sh*tload of time like this one. But I'm glad you like it.
New job new hours. I was so sad for the indomitable for not making it. But so love your gameplay on it. I understand why though. I like the new buff for the indomitable for the bombers.
✔️🤔 GOOD GUIDE! I have 4 carriers from tiers 4-6, but I rarely play them, because of the following issues; As soon as I picked up the tier 6 Independence, I noticed that I was losing most or all my bomber and/or torpedo planes in battles for the 1st time ever. I "adjusted" my tactics, by avoiding attacking 2 or more closely packed enemy ships, OR attacking individual ships, IF I know that ship to have top notch AA stats. But there have been instances where I'll lose most or all bombers or torp planes, even when only attacking lone battleships or cruisers. It's possible that the enemy carrier's fighters were taking out my bombers, but I didn't see it, due to being preoccupied with "fine-tuning" my torpedo drops as they reach the target. If I could solve my torpedo drop issues, I wouldn't be SO preoccupied with it, that I could actually pay some f**king attention to what's going on elsewhere! But micromanaging torp drops is made more time consuming & frustrating, due to their ridiculous habit of NOT just dropping the torpedoes right after I re-aim! Instead, they decide to do loop-de-loops in the sky above the target ship before dropping the torps. Then I have to re-aim yet again, or else they'll drop behind the ship. What makes it worse, is sometimes when I re-aim again(for the umpteenth time), it doesn't seem to register, and they drop in the old position anyway! WTH? ⁉️🤬⁉️
Try not to reset the attack path of the torpedo squadron when they are about to attack. If you do, just press the recall button and then send them back again( no circling issues). Sometimes you can't reset it because your torpedo squadron is already engaged in the attack path so there is nothing you can do. Tier 6 ships usually have pitiful aa, so you shouldn't have a problem with them. Just watch out for tier 7 ships, like us cruisers and dont attack them if you really need to. You do not need to keep fining tuning the paths along the way, just send them in the general direction and then set a more accurate one when you are much closer. About fighters, you should pay more attention to them, like in DFA's video, use them to protect your allies or clear the sky for yor bombers( you do not want enemy fighters to be feasting on them most of the time). Practice in AI battle so you know how much lead you need. (Hitting destroyers is a whole different level, so to do that you need to master the basics of hitting cruisers and battleships)
Set your torp squadrons to a certain area past the target. Then when they are close and flying by the target (watch them in the minimap), tap return button and then re adjust the torpdrop.
YOu're a master. Baiting is really time consuming and I think it should be done when ennemy fighters are way stronger than mine ( versus Saipan for ex.). Real CV strength is torpedo and fighters should clear the way for them. Team support is mainly scouting accurately (spotting ennemy dd's ahead of friend dd and cruisers, spotting bord lickers, spotting farming bb's). Your analyse is just perfect anyway. I'm a main cv player and I approve this vid. [ I'm Seek_and_Destroy, from Brussels ;) ]
I wish I was a master 😉 the truth is indomitable is very good for managing fighters; like Lexington. But I take the time to explain the theory and the thought process and I'm glad you appreciate it.
@@deathfromabove432 You already did a demonstration with your video on how to contrast Saïpan, bcz she's definetaly the most challenging cv. I run my fleet server and your vidz are used as tactical theory illustrations. I insist, you're a master.

I had hard time facing indomitable and now I see why, cause all they have is healthy fighters with only dive bombers and not any kind of torpedo planes so managing squadrons will not need any brain.
Thanks so much for this guide and the fighting Saipan one. I’m on Hiryu and got pretty well with my fighters thanks to you.
Thank you Tony. All the best!

Good point; note that I use the fighters module on 90% of my cvs, just the speed increase is very useful.

Indomitable fighters are really strong in its tier....ive taken down 52 planes in single match against shokaku
They are, on par with Lexington, definitely stronger than enty and shok...but that reload time hurts... Ouch
