Indeed Alaska is an acquired taste. Dispersion-wise, they are in a range of Iowa but the arcs just makes it easy to miss if you don't practice them first in vs AI. You don't have to worry once you get to close to mid range but in battles where you have to sit back until it is ready, you really need to practice those arcs.
Ive been playing Alaska & Anchorage and I'll take Alaska. Anchorage really needs a Radar. The torps are fine but not a match for the guns & lack of radar & crappy AA....

Not at all!!! Tulsa is the all around cruiser in tier 9. It's just harder to play tho

I agree with everything but Tulsa but I just don't jive with it. Anchorage, Alaska and Rochester are more for me.
Same here .. In Tulsa everybody just rush me ..And easily get focus fired by CV and other BBs
It's honestly a hard ship to play compared to the others, hence why I think we see it more in comps than randoms
