- Shooting and comparing the Glock 43 single-stack 9mm. I've been carrying and shooting the Glock 43 since it hit the shelves last week and have pretty well determined what I think about it and how it works.

I never in my life thought I would carry. 2020 changed that. I also found this wonderful channel doing research. What an entertainer! What a shot!
That's great because we live in a world with alot of 2 legged monsters who know exactly what police response time is & target places that are " gun free" & now the Governor's in some States letting Career criminals out on the street where We live, not Them.
@@douglasphillips24 well as long as everyone is armed the convicts coming out shouldn’t matter. Well never get all the guns away from civilians so the better solution is everyone had one. No one should dare stick up a place if they knew the bystanders had a gun as well.

Carried a pistol for close to 10 years everyday.
Have only had one instance where I briefly found myself glad I had it. When carrying a pistol you should avoid letting yourself be dragged into altercations. Sometimes you may not have a choice however.

The more I watch this guy shoot the more I'm amazed. Tagging that gong at 100 yards with a tiny barrel like that is crazy. Never stand down range from this guy.
Hell yeah people have no clue how hard that is xD
Right? Holy smokes! Lol
Hits the gong with the last shot. And then hits that tiny pig... twice! Lol
Ridiculous.
I use him to measure accuracy. If he can't hit with it at 80yds it's the gun that can't
I taught him everything he knows!
Omg 100 yard with a glock 43!! I cant even bulleyes at 15 yards. Is it me?
I have several single stack 9mm's and love them all, but I always come back to the plain and simple Glock 43. It's comfortable to carry (practically disappears) and can't beat the reliability.
As a non-american with an interest in firearms, I find myself watching your videos quite frequently and I find myself more and more fascinated by firearms as the video goes on. Your videos are fantastic! Thank you for sharing them with us all! :)
Try one out
Forget reloading, just strap on 6 of them like a pirate.
The advantage is you have a couple of "loaners" at the gym when Mohammed comes in screaming Allahu Akbar and sporting his AK. Don't forget a couple of Blowout Kits too. They also come in handy at mass shootings.
RKBA Calm down killer
New York reload
+Nassim Finesse for 1 its a magazine not a clip...2 nypd uses g19s...3 ny reload means instead of reloading go to your other gun
yeah, get the extended compact clipazines
I have bought the Glock 43 Slimline just one year ago and I really love it. With the extended magazine it fits a womans hand perfectly.
btw for the grip I have used grip tape and then I took a ranger band and slided it over the grip tape. because the weapon is really really slim
I don't have large hands but the 43 is not fun to shoot. The trigger itself is painful after just a few mags.
Survival Lilly aka my hands... 😂
all you need is practice.... for new shooters its easier to shoot a 9mm rather than a 380 pocket pistol "I have huge hands but after a couple visits to the range Its not a issue anymore I learned how to handle my pistol"
I am surprised to see you here, and even more surprised that you bought a handgun. I thought that gun laws in Austria would have prevented that. Can you tell us what restrictions, if any, apply to handgun owner ship over there.
I subbed as soon as I saw this badass fire both guns at the same time.
+Ben Ominsky I believe he has another one where he shoots 2 AK's at once.
+Charles Frazier and 2 hi points lol
+Ben O he does drive by's with an uzi on a bicycle in another episode. lol
He's too cool though. He'd probably take offense to the term badass.
Ben O LOL same here
Hickok, the first 20 seconds of that video was an absolutely masterful punchline delivery. Pristine.
Hickok is reaching out and hitting that gong with a subcompact... I'll say it again..hitting the gong with a sub compact... I'd be feeling like a pro if I could out half a mag on that thing with my G19. This guy is a hell of a shot
I seent a private shoot his m9 at a man sized target and hit it at 150m standing
I was stunned and tried it
Hit her on the third try
Granted I did it single action
That opening joke had me chuckling hard. "Maybe they only have one." Keep it up, sir!
People will inevitably pan the Glock 43 for having low capacity, not great texture on the grip, poor sights, the hump, snappy recoil, and just being a Glock....but that's just it. People don't realize the main importance of a carry weapon: reliability. The Glock 43 is a reliable weapon. It will eat up any ammo and keep running even if limp wristed. I trust the Glock 43 with my life.
Sir, I was blown away by your handgun marksmanship with that subcompact G43. You're amazing! Take my respect!!!
I know. Even a fully size g17 is horrible accuracy in my opinion when compared to all my other handguns. This dude is a flicking wizard
I got a Glock 43 for Valentine's Day and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!

I have just purchased this pistol for my wife and it is her first 9mm. It's her purse firearm and it is perfect for that. She took to it nice and during my search for a single stack 9, I knew it would be a glock because I have been impressed with them and carry one myself. It is just about as good as good as it gets for a single stack 9 imho. Love the channel guys. Keep up the awesome work!!! @Hickok 45

Will be picking up my G43 in a few days. I’ve been carrying a PM9 for years and have never felt unsafe with its “limited” capacity. The Disantis holster has a second magazine carry option…love it. The G43 has a longer barrel/slide which helps with muzzle flip. Thanks for whetting my appetite!
How’s your G43 one year later?
I’ve had my 43 for about a year now. Dont regret buying it at all. However I bought a 2 round extension and it makes the grip a little longer (for those with bigger hands). Super compact, nobody EVER sees it.
Do you know what that grip tape is that he has wrapped around the handles on some of them? Like when he pointed it his sons and how the foamy grip tape he wrapped around makes it fit better in his hand I need to find that stuff for mine lol
Bought mine today! It was $499.99 from Acadamny, if anybody is interested to know. Very good conceal carry firearm, even if you carry in your pants pockets which I do! No safety, 4-5 lb trigger. Very nice weapon! Two 6, 9mm round, magazines. I absolutely love it!
Excellent video! Great job with the comparison aspects. I think you've satisfied everyone's curiosity here regarding the 43. Glock should be praising you. Your influence alone will promote many sales. Keep up the great work!

This is the guy I watch if I am considering a purchase. He knows his stuff and he seems to be honest. He has the best firearms reviews on RUclips.
I really wanna try mine on a range like that! Really gotta have respect for this guy for taking the time to go through the process with you.
I almost bought one of these Friday. Changed my mind midway through the paperwork and went with a 19 instead.
+cougarhunter33 .................good move the 19 is the best
+cougarhunter33 Have both. Carry the 19 almost all the time. Rarely carry the G43 but it is ideal for in the shorts with a light tee shirt in summer in simple FIST brand thin iwb kydex holster. PEARCE +1 grip for 8 rounds on board and additional 6 rd mag in front pocket.
That said, I absolutely love the G19. And try to carry all the time...but sometimes...
+Me the g19 is my favorite gun I would never trade that bad boy...that is my go to gun if there ever a problem....
Good move, but down the road you will buy this one too...lol
+Marshall g17 g17 g26, all good glocks. Depends how you plan to use it most. Target practice, tactical shooting, recreational target practice, house protection, concealed carry etc. and how well do you shoot, And how many pistols do you intend on owning, and overall how much will you shoot it, . I find when there is something small, medium, and large. per say that everybody , even myself tries to buy the medium hoping it will fit the bill for all. But the fact is that rarely it does that. So keep that in mind. I started with a medium, g23, then bought a g27, then accidentally ran into a g22, g22 very used up but shoots OK price was cheap had a bunch of mags, so I bought it. (I did not need it).. so thats, medium, small, then large. I shoot them all periodically. but use them this way , g22 take for recreation to the range. g23 nightstand pistol, g27 gets carried. There is not much that I cannot do with the g27 that I can do with the others, and they are not near as concealable. If only allowed to keep one it would be the 27, if only two of the three would be 27 and the 23. I consider house protection, personal protection, a.k.a. concealability the most important of my firearms. there is less likely a situation that I will have to defend myself from zombies greater than 25 yards. (the model 27 I can consistently hit a loaf of bread, freestanding at 25 yards. the g22 would be a half loaf of bread. good luck. (note my examples are for the 40 caliber. ) If you are going to go to the baby glock, then you are better off staying in the 9mm category , baby 40 is a bit jumpy, for fast follow up shots one has to be coiled up like a snake, or locked arm like Hickok 45 does. .
Picked up my Glock 43 a couple of weeks ago and finally got to take it to my spot this past weekend. I put 100 rounds through it without cleaning, not a single problem out of the box. My ONLY complaint is the recoil, but it's a reasonable trade for concealability. This is now my daily carry, perfect for Summer!
Complain about the recoil? psh junior maybe elder? seriously a .40 is way more snappier this little 43 is awesome. look at my channel and my 10mm glock 29 that i uploaded. complaining about recoil in a 9mm? psh. i own this 43 is amazing low recoil easy to carry.
Gotta tell you, I am so glad this man decided to do this.
He has not only entertained and educated people, but he has built up a massive library of casual videos for anyone to watch whenever they are thinking about buying something.
He jokes about that "internet shooting companion" thing, but it's true.
I just traded my Ruger LCP in one one of these. Ive been fighting myself on whether or not to swap this for the Glock 380. Definitely a difference in size when strapped to my ankle, but still remains pretty non-visible to the naked eye, whether wearing dress slacks or boot-cut jeans. Ive been wearing it around for a few days getting used to the holder and trying not to pay attention to the hate it gets for having a capacity of 6 + 1. If I need more than 7 rounds for self defense in close quarters, then Ive got bigger problems, yet people seem to think this gun is useless.
Remind me never to try to trespass on his property lol
He does have a video about that.
Friendly reminder 4 years later - never try to trespass on this mans property.

i live in Maine, we can buy all of those, and we also have the new cc law, you dont need a license to conceal carry, so for law abiding carriers, like me, its nice. NO more harassment from police, even our state police voted yes on this. I just wanted to know, why are so many ppl against the glock? why the hate?
Hipster mentality sometimes. When something is used and favored by many, it usually gets an equal following of people not liking it too. But I remember one of my favorite metal band drummers saying something among the lines *you're not famous until someone hates you*.

I have both the 43 and the XDS 3.3 9mm, and it is noticeable having the 5oz difference, plus the weight of an extra round. Both guns are great. The XDS with upgraded internals is one of my favorite shooting small guns.
The dual wielding at the intro--awesome. This was the piece my wife chose for her carry permit weapon.
I love the G43, the single stack makes it thin enough for appendix carry. I did add the grip extension to the bottom of the mag. It fits my hand very nicely! Though did not add to capacity. I use the Advanced Mini Holster to keep the printing to a minimum. Hickok45 this is a great video, thank you!
Great video. Very helpful. I own a Glock 26 and I was thinking about getting a Glock 43 but your video showed me that I wouldn't really see an advantage in the purchase. Thanks again.

I don't know why people complain about capacity for a conceal carry gun. I think some people don't understand the concept about self defense. The whole purpose of self defense is to be able to put space or get away from an attacker. You shouldn't need more than 7 rounds. I bought the Glock 43 and am very satisfied with it.
Rather have 7 rounds on me ready to go than 15 at home.
So glad this channel is back

The Shield 9 is a superb gun too. Thank you for mentioning! I have no complaints with mine at all.

Man this guys accuracy is unreal. Espdciallg with this small pistols. Hickok 45 is the man. Definitely influenced my first pistol buy and it wasnt a glock. Great unbiased reviews
I would love to have a model 43, unfortunately I have to live in the People's Republik of Kalifornia and the Morons running this state seem to think that only a police officer should have a gun like that. So, I just carry my model 26 and leave it at that. As for the pistol being low capacity, very rarely do gunfights go on and on with a high amount of ammunition being fired, especially for civilians that carry concealed. Not saying it can't or hasn't happened, just that it's rare and thank God for that. Most shootings that take place the total amount of rounds fired by both people put together is 4 to 8 rounds. The reason of course is no one wants to be shot. Not even bad guys. They don't want to be shot either. So, in reality, it's really not much of a disadvantage to only have 6 rounds plus one in the pipe. And most of us carry extra magazines. At least one anyway, so to me it's not an issue. Obviously this is my $0.02 cents worth and others may not see it that way. And I respect anyone's opinion on that. Everyone has what's acceptable to them and what isn't. For me though, if I can ever get my hands on a model 43, I'm going to have a new EDC gun on my side.

Just want to pass something on about carrying. When on the belt, you say it doesn't matter and you can carry a big, heavier, gun.....which is true if you don't have severe back problems like I have. I can honestly tell and feel the difference with my bad back the difference in 4, 5, or so ounces. My back is really severe and I have to carry a lighter gun whether it's in my pocket or on my belt. Just thought I'd pass this on. Not too many people have a severe, bad, back like I do, but there are some of use that have to really consider the weight of the gun for carry. Thanks and keep up the good work, my friend.
Thanks Hickock for another fun, informative visit. I Love my gen 2 G19. Maybe soon this will be an addition.

I carry the glock 43 on my hip in a leather holster that tucks up close and I barely feel it. It's very comfortable and as far as capacity i carry plus 2 mags which with my big hands help me get a good grip on this gun. I love this gun for conceal carry or on the belt owb. It could be used in any carry situation and be comfortable imo. Thanks Hickock 45 for doing what you do.
I carry an SR9C and I love it. It has a better trigger than any of the Glocks that I currently own (6 total). Even though the LC9s Pro is very appealing to me. I think that I would just still be carrying the SR9C because of the firepower. It's not that much wider and can carry 10 + 1. And a 17 rounder in the other pocket.Just my 2 cent's worth.Love the hickok45 videos. Please keep up the good work sir. When I grow up I want to have a range just like yours.
I think the glock 43 killed the 26 and 42. If you carry a 26 you might as well be carrying a 19, and why carry a 42 when for a slightly larger gun you can carry 9mm.
The 26 is not killed and never will be, due to the ability to use full size mags for reloads. The 26 is much shorter in the butt than the 19 - very significant for concealability.
@@ExVeritateLibertas I love it when these guys say this model killed that model 40 cal is dead blah blah blah. A gun is a gun, ive got bout every glock, and I love them all.
I have a 43, 26 and use to have a 19. There is nothing similar between the 26 and 19 so I'm not sure where that come from. Also, the 26 isn't going anywhere. The 43 is a great carry gun but I love the 26 too.
@@bryanroupe8646 a glock 26 is just about the perfect gun for conceal carry. Conceals great, and with federal +p hst it's not taking a back seat to anything.
The 26 if my favorite all around hand gun but for concealed carry I have been carrying the 43 since I bought it a few months ago. I'm 6' 210lbs and I can carry it in my pocket without alot of printing. But I choose to carry on my appendix/hip. It's hard to draw from the pocket for me.
