Hi Mel, love your channel and the calm tone of your videos :) I've been taking notes from your points-and-miles related content and hope to emulate your travels someday.
We’re flying business class for the first time with Qatar Airways after 6 years of working here in Qatar and your tour made us even more excited! I really loved your very informative and well-detailed tour not to mention your calming voice. Thank you for this! Our flight’s next month by the way 😊😊😊
So glad you enjoyed the video!! And I’m very excited for you to be able to experience Qatar Business next month!! Is it definitely in QSuites? If so, I’m sure you’re going to really enjoy it!! 😄
We flew Qatar last year and enjoyed the flight and both lounges. Like you, we preferred the lounge with the spiral stairway, although the other was also nice. The food and service is definitely world class. We will fly with Qatar again in September and look forward to those lounge visits. We have a very long layover on our return flight and now we have seen all the options since we didn’t explore last year. Thank you for sharing.
Mel🥇 Another Great video. Complements to your video editor. The way you execute your content Makes me feel like I'm there with you Experiencing first hand the lounge. 🌹🍲🥗☕🍾
Great video well thought out and the best I've seen thank you. Traveling to Bangkok via Doha in January and while I have Lounge access included I was thinking of paying to get access to the Al Safwa first class lounge but not sure if its worth the extra 150 euro each. By any chance have you been?
I haven’t been, but I think the answer would depend on how long your layover is and whether you really need to sleep. I’ve heard they have sleeping rooms, so if you really need to sleep, you might want to consider it. However, I think they are first come, first served, so no guarantees that you’ll get one. If it were me, I’d save my money because the business lounge will probably be more than good enough. Hope this helps! 😁
This Al Mourjan lounge was so packed when I visited (connecting flight to chicago). I never got to use the showers and try the restaurant upstairs becuase the waitlist was freaking insane. There was even a queue in men's toilet which is rare and crazy. It was a bit chaotic and quite tiring for me. Probably because of the timing. The Al Mourjan Garden however at least from my experience was better, because there were not much people inside the time i visited (connecting flight back from Chicago). I am able to book the shower. And dining with the view of the "Orchard" was so relaxing.
Oh no that’s so disappointing when that happens! I know Doha has a strange flight schedule with clusters of flights arriving and departing during a couple narrow windows of time, so I’m not terribly surprised. I’ve heard a lot about the Garden Lounge, so that’s definitely on my list next time I’m passing through Doha! Good to hear you had a nice experience there!
hello mel thank you for another informative video. now i want to visit doha just for this lounge. do you know how early can i enter the lounge? lets say i have a 22 hr layover. would they let me in?
If your flight originates in Doha, they might limit it to 3 hours, but normally if you're on a layover, there's no time restriction at all. Let me know how you like it if you end up going! 😄
I too would have arrived early to enjoy everything that lounge has to offer. I think I would prefer a little bit smaller lounge and one that has a ton of natural light with a great view to the airplanes outside. I don't know why, but when I can sit in the lounge and watch the airplanes, eat some good food, enjoy a good beverage, I am a happy camper. While I appreciate elaborate decor that Al Mourjan offers, that's less important to me than warm hospitality, good food and a quality view.
Yes, I think we're similar that way. That's why my favorite part of the lounge was at the end near the stairs and water feature -great views of the apron plus plenty of light! So definitely head there if you get a chance to visit! 😄
In Al mourjan lounge, was women’s queue for shower was longer than man?or was it similar? And overall was there a lot of people to extent you felt uncomfortable?
I’m not sure because you give your name to the agent to get in line. There’s not a physical line of people to see. Also, the lounge wasn’t too crowded when I was there, but the number of people will fluctuate so it’ll depend on when you are there. Hope this helps! :)
I have a question. I have booked an economy flight with Qatar Airways and I can go to the lounge for the extra cost of €120. Is the food, though, built in the price or do I have to pay extra?
Yes, the food and alcohol are included in the price! 😄 If you have a long layover, it might be worth it, but the airport is really nice, so if the layover is reasonable, you might be better off just dining at a restaurant. Hope this helps!
That place shines! So beautiful!!
It really was so clean and beautiful 😍

What time did you land on the inbound flight? I’m considering the lounge for my transit
@@ryanwilson2665 arrived in Doha at 5 am and had a 3 hour layover..

I might be wrong here but wouldn't a TV in a quiet room, wouldn't that defeat the purpose? What is it meant for? Can you take calls there?
I agree it does seem strange. I didn't actually turn it on, so perhaps it was a departure board like they have in the family suites?
