You are so thorough and cover everything someone would need to know before booking their flights with award points. Anyone using or transferring points to travel definitely needs to watch your videos! I’m looking forward to watching your Q suite review! I hope your experience is as impressive as it appears it will be!!
This is the best video on how to book q-suites so far. I have been looking for many places but your video is to the point and covers all the aspects and various options as compared to other videos which only covers 1 or 2 points. This is just my Go to video for q-suites. You really deserve way more subscribers.
Your videos are great and so easy to understand! I didn’t know you needed 1 avios to search through Qatar and learned how to link. I am new to all of this. Thank you
@MelsMilesandPoints Wow! The most in depth video on this subject on RUclips! Thank you 😊. I just subscribed to your channel. Do you offer 1-1 consults on booking flights with points?
Thank you! I am glad to hear this! I have been thinking about offering more formal consultation services at some point in the future, but for now, I'm happy to answer your questions or point you in the right direction. My email is in the description to this video, so feel free to reach out that way or in the comments here! :)
Thanks for this tutorial. I always find it fascinating how others use other airline miles to book sister airline flights while adding stops in the middle...etc It's literally a halfway rocket science to me. And yes on Q Suite videos, please. I hope you end up with newer, actual Q suite and not the old one.
@@MelsMilesandPoints I really enjoy your videos. May I have your email address? I would like to schedule a consultation on maximizing my points with Quatar. 😊
very impressive presentation❤i rravels one time BC but am really miss everything coz i just watching movie by closing the door nobody disturb me n i forgot yo have some food too 😅
Thank you so much for valuable feedback..No I don’t have flexable points but I do have Chase card that’s where I can gets my ihg points..How can I gets points for airfares is their anyway I can cancel ihg points and get airfares points?
I did a video explaining the different kinds of points you can earn and which are best for flights. I'll attach the link below. You can also email me at mels.milesandpoints@gmail.com, and I'll send you my personal recommendations for which card might be best for you. Hope this helps! ruclips.net/video/2QxVdOCQjrM/видео.htmlsi=X5FwtKZomXp6d3W_
I try to book a flight with my ihg points but transfer my points to airfares is giving me less points ..They told me that ihg points 10000 points equivalence to 2000 points so that is not enough points for me to book international flights..What should I do can you please give me an advise..I love how you explain every detail.. Thanks!!
It's not a good idea to transfer hotel points. The best points to use are flexible travel rewards credit card points. Do you have any flexible points that you can transfer to Qatar or British Airways?
Great video. Are you familiar with the British Airways Multi-Carrier Award chart. Planning to book a trip that way that includes a Qatar Q-Suite but most of the availability show Business as more expensive FLEXI. Does anyone know if you can get Qatar Business Flexi using the BA Avios Multi Carrier Award chart?
That’s a great tool that most people don’t know about! I haven’t tried it with Flexi pricing, but my guess would be no, that there would need to be saver award availability for it to work. Would love to hear feedback though, if you get a chance to try it!
I'm not finding any direct flights from North America to Doha on either the British Airways or the American Airlines website. They are all showing connecting flights with at least one additional flight through their own airlines.
There have been some issues lately with some of the bucket list airlines not sharing as much Business Class availability as they used to. Hopefully it will change soon. For now, I suggest using Seats.Aero's "QSuites tool" to look for availability (I recently posted a video on how to do this). If you find it, then go to QSuites to book. You can transfer Avios from British Airlines so hopefully that will work for now. I just did this myself and bought a flight from Chicago to Muscat for March, so it should work. Hope this helps!
If you have a Citibank American Airlines card, you receive AA points, but the flexible Citi Thank You points can't be transferred to AA unfortunately. If you're looking for the best way to earn AA miles quickly, you might want to check out my recent American Airlines video 😁
That is frustrating. I haven't heard about this being an issue with British Airways. Have you tried calling in to see if they can see the availability on their end?
Maybe things have changed (a lot?) since your post but I did a significant number of searches for what you showed and I could not find one flight on QR for the 70,000 pts. what am I missing?
I’ve noticed that availability isn’t showing on the American Airlines website right now for some unknown reason. That’s one of the frustrating things in this game. You might have to search via Qatar or British Airways, which I realize is much more difficult. Fingers crossed that the AA glitch gets fixed soon!
It can vary by route and which site you use to book. For JFK to Doha, I am seeing taxes and fees in the $300 range. On what routes and sites are you seeing that price?
I know, right?! 😅😂 Thankfully, I wasn’t Qatared, but just this week, I had a Business class ticket with Iberia, and they oversold the cabin and bumped people, including me, into Economy. I’ll be posting a video about it in a day or two!
@@MelsMilesandPoints I'm glad that you got into the suites for sure. I would be livid if I was bumped down into economy. I have a fused spine And If I had to set an economy for any longer than about 5 and 1/2 hours. I wouldn't be able to walk after. But never mind my spine... It's just the fact that points or money were used for a business experience. I will be watching out for that video for sure!
