hello mel thank you for another informative video. now i want to visit doha just for this lounge. do you know how early can i enter the lounge? lets say i have a 22 hr layover. would they let me in?

Hi! Hoping you can answer this because I’m scared I’ll get an agent that doesn’t know how to do the free stopovers. I’m looking for a flight from GVA - CDG - city in USA (stopover in CDG). When I look at flights, do I book the day we would fly out of GVA to get to Paris? Then ask for stopover for a couple days and they will rebook last leg of my flight from CDG to USA on the day we want to leave? Thank you!

Next April, I'll be on a 787-10 Dreamliner, in Polaris, from LAX to Tokyo. First time in Polaris. First time over the Pacific. The Polaris lounge, and restaurant, will make the United Club look like a dump. I'll be in an odd numbered window seat, in the wide body. My son and his Japanese wife will be in the odd numbered, side by side, middle seats. $5,900 one way seems insane. LAX to Tokyo, on the 787-10 runs between $5200 to $6,000 round trip, before miles.

If I remember correctly, there is a very nice quiet room in the admirals lounge. It had dim lights and flat seats to completely lie down. I’m not sure if I’m mistaking it for a different lounge though.

I’ve flown Turkish several times in economy and couldn’t wait to fly in business as a reward to myself. I’ve checked the 1k bulkhead and I thought it would be bothersome/less privacy and do you think 2k is okay too? Thank you 🫡🙇🏽

Bonjour, great review as I'll be heading to France in December on Air France 🇫🇷 from Manila to Paris Charles de Gaulle starting December 08 , it's been more than 20 years since Air France last flew to the Philippines and were very happy to have them back, and I can't wait to try their Business Class as I already booked my ticket.

With DC as our hometown, Dulles is our preferred airport for international travel. We’ve enjoyed the Turkish and Lufthansa Lounges enough (nothing out of this world), but the best lounge at Dulles in my opinion is the British Airways Lounge. You should give it a whirl some time. The Polaris and Cap One that you previewed look really fantastic.

Doing this to a lady alone, even more despicable, don t they have mothers and grandmothers?

OMG I stayed in that exact same room on July 29th!!! WOW! My dad was a pilot for TWA in the 60's and I am an avgeek so that room was heaven!!

We stayed there last summer - Room 666! Hilarious. Great stay. High style. Lots of novelty. Amazing views. Fun at the rooftop pool/bar. Super convenient. I’d stay again, providing we fly in/out of JFK. Really, the only disappointment was the bartender on The Connie who was more interested in her iPhone than making a drink, and was ill-equipped to hold the job. Took two sips of the drink and put it down. It’s expensive, period. Accept it and book your stay, or stay somewhere else, which will inevitably be expensive as well. But you don’t need to pay for a room to enjoy the amazing common areas. The hotel is stunning and the service is professional and efficient, but fun and easy going. Our kid loved it as much as we did. Just a joyful place that brings back the avgeek kid in us all.

My parents had a same experience. Tons of error checking in selecting seat….. 💺 and getting boarding pass. Also the Iberia / level customer service is not open 24-7 I used work around ( cancel original ticket // bought another ticket using avios… ) But it is a crap shoot.

I watched this to suss out seat selection on AF for a last minute change with limited seats in Business. Great to see your seat. A scan of the cabin would help others who may not have a window option. Your review was informative. I found myself getting impatient with the pace.

They are charging+100.000 miles for same route from its own Turkish clients.

Beautifully produced video. As an Australian, whenever I visit NYC, I like to stay in midtown, however, as an homage to a bygone age, both architecturally or historically, the hotel looks magnificent.

Sadly their prices are not that much cheaper than the lie flat seats and business options of other airlines. In fact on my upcoming trip from Vancouver to London Turkish was cheaper (and we all know how good their business class is), but yes you have to overnight in Istanbul but they do give you a complimentary 5 star hotel room

Air France’s menu was not accurate on my CDG-SFO business class flight, and they did not load my preordered entree so I went without. Now AF charges $100 if you want to reserve a seat. No.

I feel individual air vents are a must. So many airlines keep the cabins too warm

Thanks for the great video. The only downside with Blade is the 25 pound luggage limit. Most people flying out of JFK are traveling internationally and have more luggage than that. Of course, I’m sure it’s great for anyone on a short trip with just a small backpack.

Lovely to watch, but if I was in the residence I would want to be with a friend or partner to enjoy together - what an amazing experience!

You missed a great feature....once you click the information tab and it brings up the airline flight options.....select the booking you want but I always click on each additional way to book since sometimes there are lower point options available.......

As a pilot I wonder if the flight was VFR with a VFR corridor or IFR with a filed flight plan.

I do believe that Iberia is signatory to The Montreal Convention which stipulates that they must provide a seat on the next flight in the same or higher class regardless of airline. I had this experience many years ago between Bangkok and Melbourne. Thai Airways had substituted the airplane with one without first class seats and business class was full. I refused the downgrade and eventually I was offered a Qantas flight which departed nine hours later. I was also given hotel stay for the wait. All according to The Montreal Convention.
