Had a friend whose hobby was checking the licence plates of cars that featured in porn films - a positive identification would help him determine the location and when the film was done (as well as checking businesses and street signs on Google Maps). He told me that he wasn’t the only person who does this :-)

As an Irishman I’m a bit chuffed at how our number plate has the year on it which is very rare on number plates.

Is croatia require a person to return old plate number after registration is finish?

Where are the plates for Gibraltar (GBZ - G1234F), Isle of Man (GBM - MAN 123U), Guernsey (GBG - 12345), or Jersey (GBJ - J12345)?

What about UK? They have GB with Eu flag on it still.

Slovenian here, I like all but Vatican city's plate. This one doesn't look very specific.

I have always liked European plates. Some of the license plates here in the United States look like they were drawn by a 5 year old. I also like the fact that they (Europe) does not allow vanity plates. Here in the U.S., the practice has gotten really ridiculous.

German font (and other similar) are stupid, it looks like when you writte your CV and you use comic sense as main font. 😀Czech is the best, super simple and easy to read font and no stupid national symbols around. And cyrillic countries, even when it's written in latin letters, it still feels like cyrillic. 😀
