- The Air is Lucid's luxury sedan to compete with Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW and Tesla. On the outside you will discover 21in wheels, special LED lighting and glass canopy roof. On the inside you will be greeted by a wide open cabin, massive infotainment system and digital gauge cluster. Powering the Air Grand Touring are (2) electric motors producing over 800HP. The lucid air is my favorite of all EV cars. If I had the money, I wouldn’t hesitate to get it. And the rang is by far the best among all EVs. Almost 400 mile range is insane. They nailed this car. It’s absolutely perfect
in 5 years from now it will be like that old gaming laptop......awesome power triple A then the next wave.........the electric car will get the iphone treatment.....the greatest sence sliced bread every year ....untill next years B.S show..... all auto insdutries suddendly wanna discontinue the gas engine because its cheaper to do electric then gas... less moving parts cheaper to make....yet they still charge more....greeeed profit. Im sorry but im not buying it... untill cars can fly i will keep reving my v8 chevy an laying tracks that you can hear.....................
Lucid is definitely up to something. I'd pick this one over Tesla

This is a nice car, but, it would seem Cadillac has one up on them with Celestiq, as long as the rich are picking their American luxury Barges.
Lucid is like "Tiger tank" from WW2 exquisite (expensive)... and Tesla is like "Sherman tank" (cheap) at the end "Sherman won" by quantity. 😏😬🙌
Had a chance to rent a Lucid Grand Touring while in Miami a couple months ago. Was incredibly fun to drive for a week. The torque and incredibly long range blew my mind.
If only I could afford to own one. For now I'll have to settle for Lucid stock 😄
You can get barely used ones for $75-80k. It's gotten better than the $150k price tag they once had.
Thanks for reviewing the Lucid Air Grand Touring! I think Lucid is on to something for sure. They have a great product indeed. I know it’s a luxury EV company an all, but I wish they’d release at least a few vehicles in the $40-$50k range to include an SUV (not the Gravity as that’ll surely cost over $70k) to capture the hearts of everyday consumers. Not many of us can afford a $100k vehicle or in my case aren’t looking to spend that much for a vehicle. Price aside, once again, they have a great product. I hope they succeed and are around for many years to come!
I saw Lucid Air '' here in their Toronto Studio and looks Amazing ! Stunning EV car ! 900 W Technology ! Much Batter then Tesla 100% ! Real metal Buttons in the cockpit too ! 500 Miles real World range ! Lucid is Boss ! I take it over Ferrari and Bentley any day !

The Globalist Billionaire that helped found and fund Antifa, Blm and the invasion caravans stated his goal in life is the destruction of the US economy and erasure of our borders. What does this have to do with this car? He is heavily invested in the company but not to save the planet. But just to counter the success of Tesla. Is this petty? I don't think so. Great review and I think the car is attractive but buying one will help fund Antifa and invasion caravans. I will have to pass on this one.

8:57 - That "Air"-emblem font reminds me something from a late-'40s, 1950s era cars with sort of streamline, art-deco details featured on cars back then which is cool. The taillights remind me of Porsche which is not a bad thing, and the car as a whole looks classy and futuristic. A well executed design and brand which I'm seeing more and more around me next to the Teslas that are constantly seen.
That's the most interesting trunk ever. If I had 150k to spend on an electric sedan, I think its gotta be the i7. That flat screen TV in the back is pretty crazy.
The range is great for a ev . When it comes to charging on the road. Thats a major problem when it comes to non telsas. For example, chargers will be offline or limited to around 50kw for example. Some may not even work as well. Also telsa has opened some of there network in California and New York with something called a magic dock . Its basically a ccs adapter connected to the telsa v3 charger . When it comes to the look, this car looks great.
EVs are a scam
Most folks probably won’t need to hit the fast chargers with a Lucid because of the range, unless they’re road tripping. 400+ miles is bananas for an EV though, I wish all EV’s would have this range.

In side EV’s got over 500 miles on a charge with the Lucid air last year.

Test drove the Lucid last month, love the vehicle, it is a beautiful ride. I now have a different perspective on electric cars. The only compliant is the cost is too high. Hopefully one day it will be mines😊

Peter Rawlinson was not a founder of Lucid. Three dudes, one of which was a former Tesla executive, did found Atieva which later became Lucid Motors then Lucid Group. Peter was first hired as Chief Technical Officer then later became CEO.

You should make 100+ a year as a truck driver. After some savings this is attainable. This is along the lines of an S class mercedes in terms of luxury and that vehicle starts over 100k

good review Joe, very unique styling and design. yah, I hated taking off the wrappers to those now and later candies, especially the green apple. I also think the snes was a 16 bit system, but I get the idea, haha.

I test drove the Grand Touring a few weeks ago. It’s the most advanced vehicle I have ever driven. It rides super smooth and has rocket acceleration!

I really like the updated tech in this car, and it does seem like it'll be overwhelming for first time buyers. But I'll never be able to afford it. $150k? No chance in my lifetime. I do like how the display is right in front of your eyes, not in the center like a Tesla. Great design there imo.
I do agree, once we actually saw the car in drive the covering on the driver side door really is big. It's right in your face, and a blindspot. If anything, a redesign, they should find a way to cut that down. If anything, there should be an option to remove the glass roof, that seems more like a niche thing vs. something many would want.
Model S and X have the driver displays, it's just 3 and Y that don't.
Nicest ev I've seen to date. Interior and exterior are breathtaking but pricing is something to be desired. It's way to expensive and over priced. Unfortunately out of my price range and cant afford one of these but if these were cheaper this car deserves to be in my garage

They need to release more models to be taken seriously as a car company
That's not Lucid's goal though. They're a very low production luxury EV car company, I believe they only pump out less than 3k cars per year. The Lucid Air is meant to be a direct competitor to the Plaid S and that's Lucid's main goal is to provide an alternate to Tesla's higher end Models (S/X plaid/100D) for people looking to get away from them.

Hey Lucid thank you so much for the awesome tour I had a couple of questions for Lucid I’m just a little bit concerned about that front screen in front of the driving wheel. Does that fold down? And I was also wondering if there were something they could do about the sun coming in and making the car too hot I’m making you feel so hot thank you again for the excellent tour. I am not a EV guy, but this car has always interested me. Nicely done, just very $$$. Taycan and it's sister Audi car are the only ones that really interest me and this Lucid makes more sense to me. Ev as a GT car just makes sense. That A Pillar is a bit odd though and so is the trunk and how it ruins the rear quarter with that panel line. But I would drive this.
