      It would be a neat feature if PC2 had an option to split the map into smaller tiles that you could slowly expand on so that you can ensure every corner of the park is fleshed out and fully detailed.

    If Frontier sees this: be nice to Rudi. I watched some of the livestream from Gamescom, and it did nothing but hype me more for the game. Actually, it was really cool to appreciate your booth from afar since I couldn't be there in person.

    I’m actually very fine with the coaster builder being the same. It’s userfriendly and easy to understand. The only issue was that you couldn’t get it smooth and have realistic shaping. If they work on that there is no reason to fully rebuild the system.

      Tend to agree, changing it would more likely have been a net negative vs what sounds like massive improvements to a already working system.

    They need to have a map maker, so it creates hills, cliffs, rivers automatically for you instead of it just being a plain park on load up

      Amazing idea, are there any maps available in the workshop? Like someone made a map with only nature? I mean it's possible to do it ourself and share so others can build a park!

      Minecraft world generator type system would be so cool. It randomizes some terrain and trees for you so every park can be different and in a unique location

    icl i really like the fact that the ingame days are much slower now so you can easier get a propper experience with management which i've wanted for so long

    Turntables are a thing, the water coaster and logflume have turntables and can go backwards

      Walking in 1st person is for me also the top feature. Then I go buy also a VR system. (If it's support)
      Walking in your own park or in others one. (like parks from Silvarret, Pixelpark, etc)

      @@Jordanllam that’s the thing , what do they really mean by ‚walk around you’ll feel like you’re truly there‘?? Does it mean only look through a guests eyes not controlling him, or does it actually mean we can control a guest go wherewhever we want? We don’t know and I can’t help but feel there’s a catch!

    10:45 I unfortunately have to say (if it wasn’t said already) that there WON’T be a single rider lane, the 2nd lane is a priority queue, you can find it in the last menu tab of a selected coaster (it is a weird place, IK)

      yup seems like, its weird they seperated it, cause the old way of doing it was actually more realistic. Thats why I thought it was single rider.

      @@RudiRennkamelyeah, too be very honest, I initially thought it was a single rider line too, so I was a bit disappointed to find out is was a priority queue. But it is still pretty realistic, DLP uses a lot of separate priority line entrances (crush coaster for example), and the part where you enter a fast lane somewhere else then the start of a normal queue is pretty realistic, but the in most cases the queues merge together just before the station.

    Coaster builder being the same isn’t the end of the world especially for console users .. what’s going to be a let down if there’s no transfer tracks switch tracks and turn tables

      There are turn tables for the water coaster and the log flume! Now to keep those fingers crossed for transfer tracks/drop tracks/switch tracks

    to build voltron we need more than just a turntable :)
    I rode it last week, you'd need shaking and jumping tracks , a turntable and bi-directional boosts on the track

    Waterparks & water slides. This is the biggest thing since Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Soaked came out decades ago. Day1 purchase for me. Build your dream waterpark!!!! Bring on the hype train :)

      @@RudiRennkamel honestly at the end of the day the thing I want the most is raptor single rails. The T-Rex’s in Planco one were just too bulky to whip like the raptors do IRL.

    RCT3 had pool filtration concerns as well but it was mainly dealt with the changing rooms/entrances and placing additional entrances gave more filteration ability. So it wasn't difficult to deal with.

    to be fair, if they gonna add 1m piece options and better angle selections then im totally fine with the coasterbuilder. Never was a big issue for me. I Only hope you get more options to remove catwalks and supports.
    That they not touched the stations at all is a huuuuuuuge minus for me, but i still think they can add it to the release or at least to a later update.
    And for the switchtrack which is also a big minus if they really dont do anything. BUT if they would add an option, when you synchronize two stations, to set a delay time to the dispatch on one station, you could at least make it look like a double loading station
    the suprises all sounds very very cool

    This has been so informative! The creative thoughts are flowing and I'm getting so many ideas on what to create when this releases. I understand the limitations and know there will be an amout of quirks we still have to work around, but it all sounds so good.

    I'm hoping get seasonal and regional variations to park operations. Not a game killer without it but it would add a lot of meaningful choices for me when playing. The power and water delivery being much more than Zoo's is a welcome surprise. I'm not surprised drop/switch tracks aren't in the demo.
    Also Rudi, thank you very much for getting us the info that was lacking in Frontier's Gamescom stream.

    Sadly there is no information about the coastertypes. But at the gamescom you can see a trackmodel that looks like a vecoma family launched coaster. If they can model it in real live, maybe they allready modelt it ingame.

    Rudi, thank you SO much (as always) for your in-depth analysis!! For people like myself who can't be there at Gamescom, it's so incredibly valuable to hear your experience and for you to go as deep as you do-from new pieces and features in the game all the way to how the new UI feels (I was worried just looking at the UI that it would be as fiddly as you say it is--hopefully that'll change in a future build!)! I'm also encouraged to hear that this was a very limited demo and that there's still so much more coming!! I'm still holding out hope for:
    1. Option for multiple stations per ride (loading station and unloading station-totally doable in RCT3)
    2. Shuttle mode for all transport rides
    3. Theaters, performance spaces, parades and parade routes, walk-through experiences (i.e. a path you can decorate with scenery and triggers), midway game booths, arcade games, etc. (i.e. non-ride attractions)
    4. Transfer tracks/service tracks for coasters (maybe even in a future DLC or update or something)
    5. Guest lockers
    6. Arched paths (so you could do an arching bridge over water, for example)
    7. Fully customizable ropes, cables, chains, buntings, string lights, etc. (which could let you just click a starting point for a rope, for example, midpoints, and an ending point, and then you could scale how far it drops between points, and it would interact with the wind/weather) and an ending point ← this is just a fantasy of mine; I know it's not coming haha
    ...just to name a few! 😂
    I'm so stoked for the Creative Deep-Dive next week, and can't wait to hear your thoughts on it as well!

      you can build your own animatronics in a limited way. There are now little turntables that works like the coaster customisations. You can Stick objects to this and so you can build your own movements. You can see this in the gamplay demo also. Very hidden but did you notices that the statue in the middle of the showcase Park is Rotating? this is basicly Scenery attached to an Animatronic piece.

    The System it was running on was an i9 14700k with an RTX 4090. I played the demo by myself and i was able to see in the System hardware informations real quick

    Thanks for being our PC2 advocate Rudi and for all the details! Some things that I'm still curious about that I'm hoping you may have observed. I know you probably will not have answers to most of these but I'm still curious to ask...
    ~ Can we create our own buildings that are completely DARK inside without burrying them under terrain?
    ~ Is the water feature the same when it comes to creating lakes, rivers, etc.?
    ~ Waterfalls... still using water effects to create them ourselves?
    ~ Is TMTK still going to be a thing? If so, will those assets also be available for console players to use?
    ~ Is random rotation or even random size an option when placing non-grid items?
    ~ Will guests now walk AROUND scenery items on the paths or do they clip through them as before?

    I just noticed something new. If you look at the first deep dive. You'll see that you can have multiple flums on the same Platform connected by one staircase. Just zoom in on the deep dive at 2:25

    Hi!!!!! Thanks!!!!! For your video and explanation Rudi!!!! It helped me a lot. I will definitely buy Planet Coaster 2 when it comes out!!!!!! Also what you said about that turn - Platforms near the water - Logflumes and elevators for the logflumes and rapids. And maybe elevators for coasters. Like as Matterhorn Blitz in Europe - Park. Thanks for that!!!! I'm really excited about it!!!!! And I'm very curious about the weather afterwards. Abd cables adjust to attractions. That makes it very real.

    The blueprint menu always was the first menu you saw already in Planco, I just hope the game still remembers what the last menu you used there was else that'll be a lot of new clicks for no reason

    I hope more flexibility is given to the inversions. Some of the banking and slopes are wrong, and it would be great to adjust these for maximum realism and smoothness

    That’s good news about the coaster builder tool, the highlight of planet coaster 1 was the coaster builder and how it felt much better than roller coaster tycoon. So I’m glad they didn’t decide to go down the spline route!

    Tons to love about PC2! But one thing I really don't like is the "Heat Maps" button being top centre of screen. It disrupts your view & takes you out of the game immersion. I hope they either move it or give the players the option to move it.

    Does the steam train look like the Connie Express or the Iron Horse or a different design? Do you think we will get more than one train design? I was really hoping that they would do proper railroad crossings this time with gates that lower, and the people have to wait for the train or turn around and go a different direction. In PC1 we could build track through path with the collision turned off and add our own signals and even moving gates from the TMTK on the workshop. And I want coaches that have open sides and forward facing seats and people board from the sides.

    Rudi there was a moment on your live stream where you were testing group scaling and couldn't figure out how to group scenery objects until you added a grid item - have they reverted this system back again or were you just struggling with the UI? i seem to recall in planet coaster initially we couldn't group scenery items without a grid piece

    What about water physics? When u build a coaster near to water, will the water be pushed away fun the coasters air pressure? Or can we generate complete darkness using building parts and stuff or are we still forced to build in the ground to get real darkness? These are question for me you didn’t think about it?

      There is indeed new music coming. I strongly suspect that is what we are hearing in the Frontier unlocked videos, including today’s livestream and it sounds fabulous. Listen to the beginning of their videos during the countdown screen.

      Some coasters close during high wind. Drop towers and star flyer are effected by high winds,but I'm not sure about other rides

      That doesn't seem necessary in the base game. Eventually, sure. But I'd rather see the base game nail down all the core features in a satisfying way than having it bloated with fiddly features.

    You mentionned the banking offset aka heartlining works better now? Can we make proper heartline rolls and stuff or just banking on turns with offset without losing shaping? Did you test this? Could you give more details on the banking?

    A hollow out terrain feature would be nice instead of needing to do it manually

    I'm not really hyped about the whole coaster being smooth already, since in planet coaster this meant some curves where made shorter due to the smoothing and sometimes I wanted a bigger curve.

    Will there be transfer tracks for roller coaster so you can have multiple coaster trains so you can have some parked while the other one is operating. Also are there on ride photos. Are there thing like dinning plans or season passes or membership for guess to come to your park.

    That all sounds very cool for the most part, thanks for the info🎉! But it's a shame that you weren't allowed to show anything. In general there was little image material, even in the livestream. I found that a bit disappointing😢. In other videos you could see that the scenery parts in the menu took a while to load, like at the beginning of Planco 1. I hope that will be better in the end. On the other hand, the separate end pieces of the slides and the option to theme and color the rides are great👍.The slides generally look great, also the fact that the staircases automatically adjust to the height 🥳
    But currently there are only 8 rides😱, anything under 30 would be too few. How many did we have at the end of Planco 1? 60? I don't want to start almost from scratch again😃. Above all, you need a lot more for children. And please Frontier don't just import the old favorites, new rides are a must too.
    Are there actually dark rides now?
    And do walls and scenery collide or do you have to work completely with barriers again? Functioning railroad crossings?
    Are there Planet Zoo vending machines without the path?
    And I would also be interested to know if you can draw fences and hedges like the enclosures in Planet Zoo, so that you don't have to set everything up again individually.
    The changing rooms should be redesigned, they look like normal toilets, there should be different versions, also the one where you go in at the front and come out changed at the back...
    The 17 textures at once are super awesome, hopefully the ones for westerns and pirates will be included for later too 😊
    Hope you give us new pictures and videos of the game soon, can't wait 🤩

    Will there be any guests with baby strollers or wheelchairs or guests with other mobility restrictions? This would be a cool way to add some realism to the game, as most parks in real life have ramps or elevators wherever there are stairs.

    I was really hoping for an updated way of making buildings, i.e. something along the lines of dragging down walls instead of this piece by piece system that PC1 has. If they fixed that and also added dark interiors I'd be 100% happy

    Something really cool I saw is that there will be a vegan food shop! I hope this means that the food options available will affect the guests happiness (like it definitely does in real life😅) if they have food they can/ can’t eat 😊 it would be great to make the park fully vegan and see what happens! 🥰 thank you for all the information! Excited for the game! 😊

    The coaster smoother sounds pretty horrible. I hope they gave us a good camera but idk if that’s the case.

      @@RudiRennkamelthere’s a mod on pc that gives the game a smooth camera without the game camera smoother which makes the coasters look rougher. I just hope they implement that camera instead of using the one from planet coaster 1.

    For the transport rides such as the steam train. Are they the same models as from the first game?
