I agree with this man as far a semi metalics. I DON'T care about dust . I do CARE about stopping. In 20-30 years I've had NO premature rotor wear. I've NEVER had a rotor cut !! I always buy new ones. Ceramics stuck . When stopping from high speeds with them, I get that feeling in my stomach !!
Comprehensive information and intelligible delivery. Went through a few videos to understand how ceramic pads compare to the other two. Most of them were garbage, but this felt like an engineer talking than all those bro-talk.

I say ceramic breaks pads are more suited for luxury sedans. I love mine i hate the noise those semi metallic pads make. And the dust when it comes time to clean the rims.
Thank you for amazing explanations! I have a question to all of the followers. What the best for cold braking parts of a hybrid car? The recuperation system works so well that the brakes are lightly used. Thank you
I replaced my brakes, front end on my car. When i apply the brakes. About 25% in, it feels like the brakes wants to grab more. I use ceramic pads. I never tried semi matalic or the organic kind but i think ceramic are better bc they are quiet.
I'll take ceramic over any of the others. Least dust, great stopping power, no fade, long life. Semi-metallic have been around forever and are fine, but nothing like the features of ceramics.
@@debbiekonkin5768 Says who? Are they better at not dusting your wheels? No. Are they better at stopping quietly? No. Are they easier on your rotors? No. Awful lot of no answers there to be THE BEST. Those are the points you quickly glassed over in your effort to not stumble over yourself to start an argument on social media. You truly are a basic social media commenter. It's pathetic.
@Debbie Konkin lol no stopping power? Chill out. You're exaggerating. They stop just fine. All toyotas come with ceramics from factory. As do subarus I believe. They all stop fine.
@@debbiekonkin5768 Stopping power is slightly better than ceramics yes but it's not major unless you're on the track. Ceramics that I've used in various vehicles stop more than hard enough to push you into your seatbelt.
Organic pads = saves your discs/rotors, less costs, parts and better for the environment. With Organic pads so long as you change them on time you should not have a need to replace rotors. That is how zero obsolescence were originally suppose to operate. A soft material against a hard material = only 1 side ever gets worn. Same philosophy with keys and lock barrel etc.
You have no clue what you are thinking about. Even organic pads wear down rotors, slower but they still do. And being better for the environment, you must be joking?!
organic has no noise while braking. After get a semi metallic my Lancer starts to make that noise. So I tried ceramic, still makes noise, then I back to organic It stops

Amazing video! There should be a time stamp at 5:23 to introduce Ceramic Brake Pads.
I use ceramics a lot. They’re exceptionally good at mid to higher speeds but at low, more effort seems necessary on the brake pedal.
Great tip!

You use semi metallic pads on your personal truck. Why did you change the rotors and calipers as well, do you need to do that for towing applications?
I always prefer ceramic. Organic is soft and lots of dust
what's your thoughts on ceramic copper free pads?
A+++ video!!! Thank you!

Wait... is semi metallic the same as sintered brake pads?
Well explained.
Thank you!
I like semi metallic
That will kill your rotors
@@vkhiev my rotor only last 8yrs using semi metallic.
Now i buy new rotor worth 32$ each. So maybe next time i look for ceramic

Don't forget that big rotors aren't that important either, if you have the right pads and calipers.
You’re right, but big rotors do help if you get the right pads & calipers
Depends on the application. If you are racing or have a truck that is towing, they are very important due to the extra surface area and heat capacity.

the stuff we used before organics
