Holy shit man. That was an insane difference. I wasn't feeling the stretch that much in the chest and shoulders but when I laid down after it was an insane difference.

I hate laying down flat with my knees straight because I feel my lower back arch too far forward when I do. After the exercise, it was more comfortable to do so. I was really baffled and did this exercise without expectation, but it worked for me. Thank you for having this kind of content available online.

@@Alejandra-vj5ux yes! I was having vertigo as well due to muscle spasming in my neck so I get how much it sucks. I took this exercise a little bit to an extreme and now have the roller on a weight bench so I can stretch even further. Getting massages helped some too. Hope u get better!

Love your videos! You helped relieve the pain in my leg, hip, foot - piriformis and plantar fasciitis. Recently, my neck and right shoulder have been killing me. The pain extended into my upper arm. I couldn't reach up high very well. This video is great (as well as others). The "jumping jacks" are painful on the right side, so I can only do a few. But my neck is improving. I also did another of your videos - standing against the wall and doing "snow angels" with knuckles sliding along the wall. It'll take a while, but all is improving. I'm 66. I had been in pretty good shape, but all it took was a few months of not working out regularly! Thank you! You are much better than the PT I went to years ago!

I never leave comments ever but I started getting so concerned about my (both physical and mental) health as I reached 30. One day I went for a massage, the masseuse noticed the little hump on my neck and compared it to my bf's perfect neck&shoulders. It hit me so hard as I know I have poor posture: a bit forward head and round shoulders, and lower back pain through my whole life even when I was in my 20s. I started doing research on how to help myself and found a patient on reddit who went to physical therapy to fix her similar (but much severe) posture. She listed very detailed exercises that help and some led me to your channel. I proceeded to follow your exercises and could see the immediate results :) Just want to appreciate you guys for sharing it for free and for caring so much about people health! Kids these days have such poor posture from the development of technology. It saddens me so much (especially as I'm now sharing a house with 2 Taiwanese teenagers who have crazy hump backs :( and their parents didn't say a thing)! I really hope school will take all of your talks and exercises into their curriculums because kids are really going to fuck their lives up!

So glad i found you. I had a persistent cough and sinus cold recently, lasted for about 6 weeks. During that period i pulled a muscle in my right breast region and i also tore a rib cartledge. So for around 8 weeks i was favouring the RHS of my.body around my chest and rib cage area. Well the cough and cold finally abated, and the rib cartledge tear has healed back up, but during this process of tightening and holding my RHS chest and ribs i also pinched a nerve in my neck. Now, for the past week i have excruciating nerve pain in my scapular, my deltoid my shoulder joint and it radiates down my right arm. I know there is a famous philosophical quote that says..."this too shall pass"... but i am really struggling in pain here, and basic pain meds such as panadol and an anti inflammatory med such as Voltaren arent doing anything at all to alleviate this incredible discomfort and pain i am experiencing. So i will try your regime protocol as well as your other video on Pinched Nerve remedy and see how it goes. Thankyou for your video and for affirming that many people experience such injuries around the neck and shoulder, and that it can be very debilitating. Thanks again

I did these stretches on the rounded part of my couch and this fixed my back but my neck is still not feeling right, but i will for sure buy a foam roller now. Thank you both. After doing the exercises, my upper back was flatter on the ground. But I still feel a strain in back of my neck as my head touches the floor. A small pillow helps alleviate this. Also, I can still almost fit my flat hand under the arch in my lower back when lying on the floor. My guess, when you put these things together, is that I have forward head (and shoulder) tilt, along with a little lordosis (lower spine). The two work together: head goes back, lower spine immediately curves inwards. So I've been doing "wall angels" and following your videos to try to correct nearly 60 years of ingrained habits! Thanks again.

Wonderful, David! I love that about these exercises - the relief is almost immediate. Keep in mind - it took a long time to get into this posture; it's definitely not corrected in 6 minutes. But performing these regularly over weeks and months will make a drastic improvement. Thanks so much for your comment and your support!

      S. David Hicks if your head was touching the floor you might just need to scoot down a little further so that the roller is supporting your head. Your head shouldn’t be hanging over the end... that would definitely be painful! Also, you mention the lordosis... search his videos on Anterior Pelvic Tilt because from what you described, this is very likely what is happening. Keep at it and I wish you anotner 40 years pain free!

That was UNBELIEVABLE!!! I am suffering from the wort back pain at the mo possibly do to this quarantine, and finally had to just type in how to fix it. This video came up and WOW WOW WOW. Gonna get into the habit to do this every day. Ironically, I am tall and also do suffer from bad posture that I have noticed causes my extreme back pain so all-in-all, this is a good first step for me to finally conquer my bad posture that has lead to years of horrible back pain. Thank you quarantine for giving me time to finally just figure this crap out!

Many thanks for your beneficial video, I adhered to your instructions using the six-minute workout and found instantaneous relief from a trapped nerve somewhere in my back. I am relatively flexible for my age, 73 years. I still teach and train in Jujitsu and suspect I acquired the injury from overtraining. I have tried numerous exercises, all to no avail until now! I would highly recommend your videos to everyone who is suffering from similar conditions to mine. Once again I would like to express my gratitude for your professional advice. Regards, Alan in the UK.

I tried it and was very surprised how much comfort it brought to my shoulders and back. I was careful not to overdo the stretch, as my right shoulder did feel tighter than my left. By the end, I was able to get my arms comfortably over my head and touching the floor! Thank you and your wife so much! I'm determined to achieve better posture and appreciate your videos!

I totally agree with you about how long it took to develop my poor posture... I can remember several significant accidents which contributed to my aches and pains (going clear back to my teens - I'm now in my sixties) so I know it's going to take some time and perseverance!
I actually tuned into this video for the link to the foam roll, which I ordered immediately. I will get back to you on my ah-ha moment, which I am certain will come, after it arrives. And yes, I will try then with your wife.
I will say that I've been doing the stretches in many of your vids and after only a couple of weeks my neck, hips and back posture are greatly improved and that spot in the middle of my spine that always goes out (and even my chiropractor has trouble getting back in) actually goes back with these stretches and hardly even pops out. When it does I can easily get it back in now.
    THANK YOU!
Also, Camille sure looks relaxed after these demonstrations. If it were me I think I'd fall asleep (which I've also been doing much more restfully).
