Transylvania was a region of Hungary for 1000 years before romanian occupation in 1918. City of Nagyvarad (Oradea) population before romanian occupation in 1918 was 90% hungarian.
Where did you get these numbers from? Genuinely curious. Also, Transylvania as a whole was never majority Hungarian even when under Austro Hungarian Empire and later Hungary, this is why it was partly ceded to Romania after the First World War and then entirely after the Second World War when Hungary lost the war because more than 60% of the population was Romanian. Regarding Oradea, Jewish people were forced to recognize the Hungarian language as their mother tongue during the time that Hungary was allied with Nazi Germany, that's why the numbers of the Hungarian population were inflated, until Jewish people were forced out of Oradea and into the ghetto, before being deported to Auschwitz. Please read all the history, not just the parts that fit a certain narrative.
