She became very upset that she took the test. She feels like the show gave her a false result for dramatic purposes. She also became angry with me as well about it. She was never forced to take the test or come on the show once Cornell decided to take the test. I only wanted to know if Cornell was my real father because upon meeting him again when I was fifteen, I looked in his face and couldn't find ME. He was not in mine or Genella 's life growing up. No support,no contact. I cried because I knew the other possibility didn't want anything to do with me

I held it together till that phone call. That's a good man there he knows it isn't DNA that makes you a father. I pray these ladies lean on each other and not let this revelation divide them, I pray they are able to find the answers they need and for them to know in their hearts and minds that this isn't their cross to bare, they are the innocent. And God favors and protects the innocent.
Lord have mercy ! Just when you thought you’ve seen it all on a talk show! God’s speed to these ladies.
He left with his Best friend's wife. He never sent support or contacted either of us while he was gone. He came back when we were 15 and 16. He came back because the wife died and he didn't have anywhere to go but back home to his mother. He preys on Genella for food,money,etc etc. He's too scared of me to put demands on me like that. He knew from the start of my mother's pregnancy that I probably wasn't his. But when it came to Genella we all thought HANDS DOWN he was hers! So this was a shocker for real. My heart goes out to her. I've tried to comfort to no avail.
This is part of the reason why I don’t want to hear anything about the younger generation being lost when Agnes and them were thotting and bopping all over the country.

My husband and I just hand a convo about this a couple days ago. Whatever issues were caused and weren’t resolved 2,3,4, 5 generations ago are there issues we’re dealing with now. Yeah you may have taken your secrets to the grave but at some point they are gonna get exposed dead or alive.

Well no it’s two different type of dna test, one was a sibling test that was took because the dad didn’t decide to take the test yet but then the dad decided to do the dna test , that’s why’s there’s two

This was a common thing for that generation back then. They kept so many secrets! My mom lied to me about who my father was and started making fun of the situation asking me "Well who is your dad". I had two men that I was going back forth with until I was 38 years old. I finally had the strength and confidence to get the DNA test myself because I didn't want my children going through that confusion all their lives. Calling one man "Papa" and the other "Grandaddy". I was 38 years old when I found out who my dad was and it was the very man she said that wasn't. He was the one that showed me love most of my life. The deadbeat was the one she was claiming. Even with DNA she still denying it. God had to give me love for her because if not I would completely disown her.

My uncle found out he was not the father at his son’s funeral. The bio father showed up and he look the splitting image of my cousin in the casket. It was ugly. My other uncle found out he wasn’t the father when my newborn cousin had to have surgery. They ran all these blood tests. Doctor: I’m sorry sir but were you aware that you are not the biological father? There is no way with your blood type and the mother’s blood type.” Makes me wonder how many men raised kids they thought were their biological child.
This is exactly the generational patterns that need to be broken. These women are well into their 40s meaning their parents are at least 60. Back then, secrets like this was the norm. Not anymore. It's up to my generation (millennial) and younger to speak up, get answers, and demand those uncomfortable conversations. It benefits everyone in the long run
