As a retired police officer and a foster parent who adopted a placement, her story made absolutely no sense. If it made no sense, then it is a lie. The situation happened exactly how her daughter said it did. She tiptoed around the reason her children was taken from her. There are steps that CPS takes, she just obliterated the timeline trying to make herself look like the victim. She was also projecting and gaslighting. If I was her daughter, I would completely cut ties with her to save my mental health. Her mom will never take accountability, ever.
Thank you for validating that. I thought the story made no sense and was slightly fragmented but I’m not from the US and don’t really understand your systems so thought I’d give her the benefit of the doubt. For someone with your extensive experience to poke holes in it too shows that she really was being dishonest and is very far from owning up to misdeeds.

Seeing how the mother reacted to the daughter speaking her truth showed that the daughter was absolutely telling the truth. She has trauma and wanted to actually try and the mother went there to make herself the victim. You can’t claim everything is a lie when there is proof that there was child abuse. The mother has a lot of healing to do and needs to admit and hold herself accountable for what she put her kids through. The mother says she's lying then proceeds 2 repeatedly threaten her own child who's clearly hurting. As parents one of the most important things you can teach your child is accountability. And none of us are perfect people, even parents, own your ish, lead by example.
Great DNA Outcome, however the young man being so easily influenced & willing to sleep on the couch 7 months proves this relationship is too much responsibility for him at this young age.

Why older women with children put men this young (23) in this situation shows desperation. This is a good young man, she's ruining by overloading him with the responsibility of FIVE children. This situation is temporary, predicting he'll leave her eventually.
I really wish Karamo would address the age gap in some of these relationships. This man was still very young and naive when they met. She is 31 now and he is 23 now; meaning he was 19 yrs old when they met 4yrs ago and this woman was a full grown 27yrs old with multiple children already.
So while she is not an old lady, she definitely was & is too old for him especially with the ready made family she came with. There was another episode I watched where the woman was basically a pedophile having met her child’s father when she was mid twenties and he was 16. We need to call these women out just as much as we call men out. It’s disgusting.

Yeah my mom and twin sister like this and I’m in the middle of it watching it go down. I’m 30 in September and I keep telling them it’s like two little girls who are really hurt fighting just sad, I have a 17 year old sibling and a 9 year old and even the youngest sees it too how both of them are. My mom has to make the first step for change and not resent my sister for her anger.
They were both abused as little children unfortunately. They both need therapy but I’m not sure if the mum will ever not be so toxic, they need to cut contact

I know that mother daughter relationship well. I use to feel like my mother hated me. I remember saying the things this young lady has said from frustration. I stand today only by the grace of God. As I gotten older I had to surrender the hate, the loneliness of not having a mother's love, the feelings of abandonment, the sabotaging done to myself, my children and relationships that I had with others. I know this place, I understand the pain. Today, my relationship with my mother is better. For a while I had to step away from her, and let the Lord work on me to forgive her; even when she tried to make it all about her.I love my mother, but part of me still doesn't give her full access to my life. Over the years I see how she'll still try to go through my children to gain access into their lives. It has been a daily prayer, and like I said, some things have changed for the better, thank God.I pray God's peace be with her. She wanted closure to be able to heal and move forward with her mother. And mom is so busy trying to defend she wasn't even hearing her plea.🙏🏽

Torianna is a beautiful young woman. She reminds me a lot of Actress Kim Fields. I am very familiar with this type of mother/daughter relationship. Wow, this was a lot. Thank you Karamo. Great to see Maury and thankful for the tribute Karamo gave him.
The first couple proves that age matters. The father although honest in wanting to grow and acknowledging flaws, is just too young and requires maturity and time. The young lady was very patient but unsure how long she will be able to accommodate and wait on his development. They have a life sentence at this point in child rearing.
The last part with Mother Shemire and Daughter Torianna is another example of people hurting. They both knew how to trigger each other and certainly did. Daughter understood well that she is in a cycle of generational curse and trauma. The roots are way deeper than this Mother and Daughter which is sad and to be a young parent with family trauma is added pressure. I believe Mom imitated what she saw growing up. No excuse in any way. They need counseling, forgiveness, accountability and work on themselves before they can be in the same atmosphere to address the past history and develop a plan to move forward. Mother even said they can't communicate while screaming. It is definitely sad that they weren't able to receive help from Karamo because neither was ready. Clearly the family unaddressed and unresolved issues continues to pass along and haunt their future. Hoping this family receives healing, forgiving hearts, effective communication and new path to put an end to this turmoil.
Iyanla would have sat that mother down and told her to be quiet and listen to her daughter. Holding the daughter's chest to let the pain out, she then would've told the mother to say sorry, and mean it, and hug her daughter. And if the mother failed Iyanla would've hugged the daughter and rocked that grown baby herself, and apologised in her behalf. It's a healing ritual. Less talking and more doing. Like prayer. I love Iyanla.

The mother is definitely in denial, I feel for the daughter I know this pain all too well, I was raised in foster care from the age of 5 til I aged out at 21, even for the short period of time they let me back with my birth mom they took me again because she was doing drugs got arrested for trying to stab my sister who is older than me , the next day social services came to get me because my mother made a threat to the jail social worker stating she was going to burn the house down with me and my sister in it, at a young age in my teens i had to testify against my own mother , and i was torn between because i really wanted a relationship with her, i wanted that mother love the one i longed for, i couldn’t do it, i was sent back to Baltimore,it was my last year in high school 2013 that my mom and I started talking on the phone again, and one day she came to Baltimore and stay with me for that weekend and i didnt know that, that was going to be the last time I ever would have my birth mother again, she died on my bedroom 😢 being in foster care it self is trauma. Being abused and not knowing why, its alot but i do pray for the healing of the daughter 🙏🏾

She know damn well she abused her daughter 😢 watching the daughtwr cry made me cry I wanted to hug her so tight and tell her everything is gonna be ok as a mother I couldn’t imagine seeing my kids hurt especially caused by me she was in foster care and taken from her mother since she was 2 and mom dont even know how to take accountability she couldn’t even hug her daughter tell her im sorry or I love u thats really sad so everybody lying except mom 😢
Why some parent think that we as childrens lies because we soo young and they think we can remember stuff.
We remember okay because this mom reminds me of my own mom. I wish I could hug this girl cause I know she hurting and these trauma don't go aways. Some parent don't deserve to have kids.
No children should go through these situations.
