Crazy how you’re still doing Fallout 4 and it’s still interesting and finding little things I don’t remember or didn’t know about. Thank you for all your effort throughout the years.
I'm doing a minutemen playthrough right now and really taking my time with the settlements. It's still a fun game minus the tediousness at times.

How tf does Ultra settings have a glitch with loading in textures that I gotta fix in the ini. I'm doing the vault 88 as my main base, but just the pathing 💀

Glory remains one of my favorite NPCs in Fallout 4. You learn enough about her to know there's more you want to know. She's neither overused nor abandoned. Most importantly, she acts like you're an equal. So many NPCs either give you orders, accept yours, or are strangers. Glory's effectively the main character, from another point of view. She's going through a lot of the same stuff you are, trying to save the synths and the Railroad, one bullet at a time.
I think her voice actress, Chelsea Tavares, did an excellent job.
Desdemona running in and grabbing the knight's minigun was actually pretty badass. And Tinker Tom going to sleep in the middle of the battle like the absolute chad he is
I don’t think I’ve ever loved a game like I do for fallout 4 specifically and all these videos just keep me in it even after years off it’s release

Tbh after I've watched this storyline it's probably my least favorite of them all. I prefer the other 3 factions

It's too complicated and weird trying to arm the synths and it always stops working when I have to wait a few hours it just doesn't work so I always end up giving up and doing the minutemen
Back in 2015 I never sided with the faction. Last year I finally gave it a shot(Plus I got 100% achievement score on the game. Yay lol 😂). It’s pretty fun but honestly it’s my least favorite faction in the game. The other three factions are a bit more interesting.
the best thing about the railroad playthrough is the secret agent theme and tinker toms weird little gadget missions, plus the old HQ theme song is also pretty cool, then of course there is learning the lore from there about what happened the morning the bombs dropped.
I like how you can save Glory in the 3-way ending of the Minutemen. No, I don't have a better name for that ending.

The Railway Rifle is an monster with the long barrel and all the right mods. It’s the Fallout version of the javelin gun(One of Isaac Clarke’s favorite guns lol 😂). Also thanks for the info on the locations for the railway rifle! I had no idea that Bedford Station & Big Johns salvage had one. I always thought you had to side with the railroad to get the gun.
I remember finding those 2 Railway Rifles at those locations in my very first playthrough.
@@hellcat1401 first of all, Howdy! Second I just didn’t see them lol 😂 . Sometimes weapons or other miscellaneous items that are just lying in a corner are hard to see or there’s a glitch that has them blend with the wall.
You have to reach a certain level for them to appear at those 2 locations. May be level 20 I honestly don't remember.
Never knew there was a bobblehead in the mass fusion building. Thanks for all your lore videos, Ox. I learn new things all the time thanks to you.

Heh, not in the playthrough I'm doing now. After I did the Lost Patrol for Danse I ended up failing the speech check to have him rejoin the BoS. So, I headed back to his bunker after I dropped off my companion (no witnesses no crime) and gave him a swift and silent mostly painless death. Mainly I just wanted his BoS Officers Armor for my collection.

I like how the brotherhood comes at you with suits of power armor and gatling lasers, and you take them all down with a gun that shoots railroad spikes. So much for all that technology.

I have been binge watching this series of yours. My fear is that it's been "3 months" when THIS video was made. The earlier episodes had a year on them. I thought I would be able to binge watch your entire fallout 4 series but I'm cutting it close. Soon I will have to WAIT for the next episode.

This seems like a good time for the Penetrator Perk. Lock on to those Fusion Cores and turn some Paladins in time bombs!
I don't think it lets you do that actually. The way the perk reads to me it just lets you target body parts, not PA fusion cores, through cover. Though I could be misinterpreting of course

Personal this was my favorite part of playing the brotherhood especially if you use the pistol they help you get just walking into the railroad hide out and wiping out everyone
sure i said this before but i do love how the railroad are the only faction no coming out ahead by doing their questline, like if you just do the Minutemen one instead you have glory alive and all their safehouses safe.

The "water" in the room with the agitator is the most radioactive place just take a sip
The rail rifle is an interesting in that it is one of the few weapons which isn't hit scan. The spike is actually slow relative to bullets and lasers just like plasma and sometimes you need to lead your shots. The sadest interaction this has is it doesn't work with the OP penetrator perk.

Oxhorn, I don’t know if you will read this but dude I will literally pay you to do a video on how to effectively level up in fallout 4. I tried searching your videos and couldn’t find anything about it. However i absolutely love your lore focused content. I would truly appreciate a video on how to level up. I want to unlock every single perk on the perk chart!!!
Level up the fastest by straight playing the game. Look up how many main quests there are, side, faction, etc. And divide the number up a bit. Do 1 main quest, then 2 sides, then 1 radiant, then 1 from each faction, or do 1 from each faction in between every other kind of quest. You will level up fast, also craft food, Chems, etc. Settlement building give you XP just for building stuff (you can scrap/store it right after). Oh, and there's always just roaming around getting XP for discovering locations, and defeating enemies.
Oh and as many points into Intelligence as you can.

Nothing makes me grin like an idiot like reloading the railroad rifle.
16:49 Serves Deacon right for walking into your line of fire. Nothing annoys me more than when NPC companions decide to jump in front of you during a fight. It's really bad in Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries, where you will be laying a massive beat down on someone and then a lancemate will just walking into your fireline and block your attacks, and if you have friendly fire turned on, will usually end up getting his mech smashed to bits and then you have to repair it afterwards. All because your minions can't stay behind you.
You should check out the brotherhood storyteller mod. Its kinda fun and you get a set of power armor and a companion. (you need the T-49 mod to get maxson's OG power armor

Wait. You mean they knew how to teleport, and make androids that could pass for humans, but up to that point they had not figured out how to make a nuclear reactor? Is that just odd, or can we chalk that up to alternative timelines?
Why would they need to build a new one when this one was already there, and they improved upon it. Just needed a way to fire it up hence the agitator thingy.
I see the logic of your reply. Your view is that when they built their new underground institute they moved an old pre-war reactor into it. I assumed that when they built their new underground facility, everything in it was built by them.@@Jovanelo
@@kentpool7414 They didn't move it because it was built there pre war by previous generations of scientists who worked at the former Commonwealth's Institute of Technology. As you can see by all the old structures in that part of the Institute, same as in some other areas you can visit if you explore. Back than it was just an experimental reactor, and present day ingame Institute scientists over the years made adjustments for it to be able to produce energy. That's the lore behind that.
Even on playthroughs when I don't go Railroad, I have to at least pretend to side with them long enough to get Deliverer and ballistic weave.
08:32 is the only way
HOLES in the plot of Fallout 4 is so notorious that you can fall right through the Earth and end up in the opposite side of the planet. At least NPCs in New Vegas acknowledge all the stuff the player do and chooses to do as the story progresses. Alas, I don't think Bethesda will EVER improve themselves on this aspect since they have FRAGILE EGOs.
I am calling it now that Lorenzo Cabot raised Robert House, mentored him alongside Jack Cabot and he used that knowledge to create Robco, Vault Tec, the Enclave, and is responsible for the majority of their lore's wars including the sino american war leading up to the great war. By fallout 4, House has Synth copies of himself and uses the Lab in Rivet city to reprogram synths he captured in order to assassinate Lyon's Pride and pit the whole East Coast in a full scale war as he makes his way back to New Vegas with all the data he stole from the Institute, brotherhood, and the Railroad's old base / CIA database: the switchboard. Would also be nefarious and a cool arc to see in the new tv show synths hunt mama murphy in her younger years while she has the reputation of being a psychic raider boss.

Fallout 4 is still Bethesda’s best modernish title in my opinion, we were all hoping starfield could step up, but here we are, watching fallout 4 lore videos even though oxhorn has made starfield content.
So, when Maxson talked about the BoS being on a "path to glory", he was being literal! Their actions in the Commonwealth put them ... on a path to Glory!!
Even after all this time Fallout 4 is still my favorite in the series. 76 is great but for the lore, Fallout 4 is a master piece.

I have a glitch where Glory is still alive, I just can't interact with her.. it's weird. Because she is actually is dead in my playthrough even though I've done the Minutemen ending.
Hey Oxhorn, I did a playthrough where I killed The Railroad after having the Courser Chip decoded. While looting the bodies, I found the "missing" Synth component on Glory's corpse. So I'm guessing that the game's been recently updated to include it. I was shocked because I knew that she doesn't have one but the game was probably updated.
Now, I'm not calling you a liar, but your game could be out of date or you probably used older footage for this video. Try playing a fresh game just to see if the component appears.

Why would the Brotherhood prioritize the Railroad? Idk maybe because they start planning operation Red Glare the second the prydwen arrives the commonwealth, attack the BoS at Bunker Hill, have a reputation for waging successful guerilla attacks on a more powerful foe, have a reputation for not dying. Idk. Maybe any of those reasons.
While the Railroad is my least favorite of the joinable factions in Fallout 4 due to some of the lack of intelligence or common sense in some of their decisions, Tinker Tom and Glory are two of my top five favorite characters in the entire game, including the DLC. So to see what happens to Glory during a Railroad playthrough... it hurts; proof of excellent character writing is making a character's death emotionally hurt the player. Rest in peace, Glory, you magnificent lady... you've _more_ than earned it.
Paladin Brandis will be waiting in the church if you brought him back to the Brotherhood.
The Bethesda writers drop a ball a lot. In the last episode, Nate kills Shawn in one possible outcome. The Institute brings Nate back to warn him that they will kill him when they find him, but they already have him. But, they let him go so they can track him down later on? I could give more examples, but I've seen this in the game in numerous missions. So, why wouldn't the Botherhood know where the Railroad's headquarters is without any explanation. Major LOL! I hope that the writers for Bethesda never become seamstresses. There will be a lot of holes in those clothes. Major LOL!
I've never progressed this far with the railroad it always glitches out and when I go to mass fusion it makes me enemies with all other factions instantly
