Absolutely stunning piece of art! It came out so beautiful! The colors are awesome and they chime in well with the wood. This is evidence of you amazing talent and creativity! Wonderful job! Bravo!
art takes on many forms... this is an example (beautiful work btw)....I chose music for my art form but now retired, I have come to stop and smell the roses and appreciate the time and patience that good wood turners put into their work like sculptors or painters.... we are surrounded by beauty and we too often do not appreciate it
Typography. Beautiful. Looks like a river and continents.very Beautiful. Tell your wife to hide it from you so you will keep it home .Keep this one and make another to sell 👍👏👏👏🤣🌻♥️
It is absolutely cool I was mesmerized from the beginning to the end the colors just made that ocean look amazing I don't know if words can describe how beautiful it is.
The Pohl Barn Productions you’re welcome Doug... can’t go wrong with old school. I think you should do what you want with your art. Honestly it’s give a personal touch, but it all in what you like.
that’s one helluva piece. that mermaid and interference blue mix you used for the cracks looked pretty sweet as well, i’d love to see a whole project using that. wouldn’t top this one but it might get close.
I like it too. It would be happy in my house. So thumbs up on this one. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Disposable glove is safe to use on left hand while turning and gives a first line of protection from chips and heat. No bleeding to death.
Truly a master of your craft. Your creations astound, amaze and bring pleasure to anyone who is fortunate enough to see them. Thank you. I am a wood carver, no lathe work so I appreciate your skills, insight and inspiration that translate into every project. Well done.
Absolutely beautiful work. I'm not really a decorative bowl type person but I'd be proud to have one like this! Very much enjoying your videos, keep them up!
Doug!!! That's absolutely stunning, what a beauty....she had a difficult birth but that only seemed to make it more special. Puts me in mind of one of those Caribbean beach scenes with the crystal clear waters and gold washed sands. It was interesting to see the resin in the vac chamber too. Top work fella.👍😁
The Pohl Barn Productions pretty sure it was Pecan, btw that wood was from a tree that came down during hurricane Harvey, a couple of years ago. The mill that harvested it estimated at between 150-175 years old.
good to know me and my husband watch you and Andy we really appreciate the art and you sharing it with us. I will keep looking at your store to try and grab them before others lol. thanks for the info. I looked on your amazon site but didn't know you had an Esty store! thanks for getting back to me. have a great Holiday and even better New Year!
Awesome! Thank you! Amazon is just an affiliate link, it cost you nothing but if you buy something I link or after going through my link I get kick backs from them for you using my link.
That's a really attractive looking bowl. The finish you put on your work is second to none. Makes me want to buy a lathe. I've done Home Improvement most all of my life, but have no illusions of being able to jump on a lathe and turn out anything like that. I'm looking for a used one to get started. They're harder to find than you'd think.
Thank you, You can do IT ! that is exactly what I did, watched learned and got on a lathe and started, never look back ! almost 2 years since I started this Journey.
Hello from the UK! It’s easy for me to say - even though it might very well be irritating for you! - but I *honestly* feel I personally learn a hell of a lot more when "things" go, let’s say, *a little awry* at some point during the actual physical process of making your beautiful works of art, as it’s really inspiring how you so positively react & creatively deal with any such problems that crop up along the way (whereas *I’d* be banging my head against a brick wall!). Invariably, you *magically transform* these "happy accidents" into something which ends up being a truly unique feature of the finished piece. Kudos, sir!
@@PohlBarnProductions sorry to hear about the heart, hope you get heal soon. I mean about the awesome artwork that you do, far out, so, when we do more quality things at each time better, we have a said in Brazil, 'you got over yourself'.
As always - gorgeous. You do not disappoint. Still love watching the resin come off in long ribbons. I swear I could watch you turn nothing but a chunk of resin down to nothing.
Doug, I have found it helpful when dealing with hybrid blanks to seal the entire piece with pre-mixed clear shellac. It does not interfere with the lacquer!
Despite the minor imperfections (I think you made invisible and imperceptible besides the one on the bottom which like you said its the bottom so "who cares" lol) this is the most beautiful piece you have posted on this channel that I have seen yet. Still catching up as I only started watching your stuff, or woodchurning stuff in general, in the last few weeks. Simply stunning. Almost looks like an old world globe sort of, with the sort of nondescript land masses in the yellows and browns amongst turbulent oceans. Unbelievable work of imagination, patience, and skill. Wish I could buy this piece. Keep up the amazing work!
Doug, I’ve just watched this for the second time & yes, it’s still as stunning & just thinking of diving in to sea that blue & clear. Best wishes, Lisa
Doug, I think that is just about the the prettiest thing you’ve made! Love those colors!!
Again as soon as it comes out the pot it's just like Christmas ... seeing those colours is just so exciting .. but I will continue watching now x lol

Thank you Ratchel, the problem with that recovery is I don't think I am down but my body says otherwise
