I still remember fm 14 where John Terry was the leading goalscorer with 55 goals in a season... JT on attack near post on corners and freekick was the absolute machine. It was also incredibly hilarious

Used a 451 from my FM 20 which won the championship with Norwich. And a recreation of klopp Dortmund 4231 and won the prem with spurs now to see if they work now 🤔

Just started using this for Bayern! I have Kane and lewandowski up top lewandowski on the right he scores loads but Kane is struggling
I’ve used it in my Sparta Prague save. So far played 10 (incl friendlies) won 10 scored 40 conceded 8. Only signings of note are Victor Bobsin and John Guidetti. Top scorer is Travnik (cm) with 5 and Guidetti (right side) with 4.
I’ve been using this on a Southampton save with Ings and Lammers up front, they score constantly, losing only against the top three currently!

This is fantastic, I love 442 and no matter what formation I try always the best results for me come from this. I'm going to try this on FM20 and see if I can break the code :)
Does anyone remember the good old with ball/ without ball on cm01/02? stick a lone striker in the center of the 6 yard box on each square for both, then man mark the goalkeeper with him.
managed to get Van Nistelrooy to score over 200 goals in a season doing that, used to score a hattrick of offside goals each game lol

Always enjoy RDF vids and to some extent Knap. Much better for me is to create my own tactics getting inspiration from the pros to. The best vids are instructional, like the Team Instructions vids. This tactic on one player had about eight player instructions and I can work out my own thoughts on why they were used. I would like to see Player Instructions Tutorials (like Team Instructions vids) to understand how the pros use them.

how is it possible to pick close down more as an instruction for a bpd if it is a standard instruction?
Definitely I’m gonna use it. I dominated in FM20 with the “Spirit of 99” tactic and this tactic seems very similar. Maybe BWM instead of CM. Set piece routine and must preferred moves for each player would be useful

Tested with watford ; 58 goals from joao pedro. Won the league at march. Pretty impressive tactic. There was a several unrealistic results such as 10-4 , 7-3.

@@fmscout not too fancy signings as watford starts with 0 money. sold some players ( capoue for 10m ). bought papetti ( as always ), calafiori , ugarte . actually this tactic is plug and play. just need to find some wingers with appropiate main foot. oh and my version of tactic includes bbm not cm with att role

Hi mate, I’m thinking of getting FM 2021 for the Xbox one. Is it worth getting and does it also have basically all the features the PC version has?
Oddly enough it works for me with psg! In the first season i won everything with mbappe scoring 89 goals. Now in my second season trough midseason, mbappe has 40 plus goals and in the quarter finals in the champions in the first leg i won 6-1 against liverpool.
First game, 1 weeks worth of training, after a string of bad results with a 433... A hatrick from my right AF in 22 mins... Jarrod Bowen all the way, Irons!
The combination of tight marker, tackle harder and roam from position probably.
It seems the AI really cannot cope with high and intense pressing again, I have a feeling most of these goals come from turnaround in possession, and a quick break, whilst the AI isn't in it's 2 rows of defensive walls
Where do i find the close down more options for the wingbacks? (Xbox version)
I tried this with several mid table/relegation teams and while I usually am the highest scoring team, I am also the team that concede the most even tho I invest in good defenders who are considered good for the leagues I played in, even tho not as good as title winning teams.
I tried this with Hellas verona, Grenoble and Stromsgodset, 2 season each and my best result was 3rd on ligue 2 with grenoble, 2nd with stromsgodset and 8th with Verona on the serie A

The beta is easier apparently. Opposition coaches give the wrong shouts resulting in bad morale.

I dont understand why this works , seems to be a glitch, constanly scoring over 60 goals with ur strikers is ridiculous , that should be normal.
I wonder which individual tactic is making all the difference
Knap just explored another Exploit in this Years Match Engine.
The Reasons why the Tactics works are simple:
- short Passing, either by TI or PIs, in Combination with a very narrow Formation to keep the Distance between your Players as short as possible makes it very hard for your Opponent to press your Players. The Opponent will push up very high trying to win the Ball and then you Players will play a long Ball into Space. And with the "work Ball into Box" TI your Players will pass the Ball around until your Opponent has pushed up high.
- the Offside Trap is almost as broken as in FM 18 when playing with an Offside Trap was leading to the Defenders doing totally stupid Things. In the FM 21 Match Engine the Defender the Ball is flying to will step forward to cause an Offside but every other Defender just dosnt react. Or the Defender is just letting the Ball fly over his Head.
Combine these two main Reasons with a fast Strikers that have good Attributes in "off the Ball" and you will win almost every Game. If you score more Goals than your Opponent because the AI can exploit you the same Way. Of course the very tight Marking plus extrem Press and narrow defending makes it hard for the AI to exploit you but its still possible.
Why i said that Knap explored an Exploit and not that he created a working Tactic? Because he, just as every Year, was just clicking on Things until something broken came out at the End without having a damn Clue why its so broken.
- Attacking Mentality already has "pass into Space" hardcodet in it and you dont need to use the TI too.
- shorter Passing as a TI has the same Effect like giving the PI to every single Player
- Wingers on Attack Duty and Wingbacks with "cross from Byline" are just working as long as you can hit all these long Balls. But you wont get any good Balls to your Strikers against an very defensive Opponent until you force him to push higher up after you scored from a Corner or Freekick.

Something not right about this. It’s not because of tactical genius. There is a bug somewhere plus on a couple of the players, issues with instructions not being there .
There is a reported bug making PI's not shown for all tactics if you go into the setting for each player. If you press something they appear. Shame they did not fix it as was reported from early beta. - Rober
Let's face it, if it works in beta it's gunna work in the full release. They won't change anything, they'll just fix the bugs people discovered.

This tactic ONLY work with instant result. If you play the match you lose EVERY match with 4-6 goals against you... Propably the worst tactic ive tested.
Strange as some people are using it with great effect (without instant result). I tested it without, but that was during the beta - RDF

@@fmscout actually I added this to a quick unemployed save. I took over villa 20th in prem week b4 Xmas. Finished season 7th only losing twice, beating Liverpool, utd and city AWAY. I changed 1 thing to fit Barkley in I moved the left striker back into a advance playmaker attack. Watkins scored 34 goals in half a season with it as the right striker.
Does this still work since the full game has been released?
At least with my Barca team, it is working like a charm. Joao Felix has been banging in 2-3 goals per game.

Playing as Wolves and so far this has not worked on full release. getting smashed in the league. Still early on though

@@eqvill i haven't play for two weeks but when i did i didn't tweak the defence and was conceiding a goal in almost every match but was destroying them in the front i think it still works
@@zabonVanDam I see. I changed my front to PF and AF. Works beautifuly together. Havent touched any other instructions. Using DLP and BBM and keep the wingers.
